Look, I know this is going to be really awkward, and this is honestly probably the hardest letter I've ever written. Actually, it's my third try, but the others just had a shitload of crossing out, so I decided not to send them.

I know you probably don't want to hear me say sorry all over again, but I am. I can't take it back though, and I can't just get rid of the way I feel, even if I wish I could. I know it's not going anywhere though, don't worry. I don't even know why I told you, because all I really want is to be friends again. I was half way over you - more than half way. I just don't know what I want any more. And I guess I just really really liked you, and it's not as easy to get over that as I thought it would be. I will get over it though, and if you ever go out with anyone else, I'm cool with that, because I know it'll happen in the end even if it hasn't happened yet.

Basically, Dev, whatever I feel about you, you're also my best friend and that's the most important thing, I swear it is. And I don't want to lose that, even thought I probably already have.

Yeah, OWLs - I got all O's and one E in Herbology. Something got seriously messed up there because I should've gotten all O's with no exceptions, but Herbology is a bitch of a subject so I guess an E is alright. Next time I see you you're getting a slap for failing Potions. Even though we both already knew that you would, that still doesn't change that it's unacceptable.

No, you got them all. Not too bad. If you hadn't gotten that D in Potions, I'd almost be impressed. I never said you were thick, or thought it. You're putting words in my mouth again.

I know because I'm unlucky when it comes to stuff like that and no matter how organized everyone says your cousin Rose is, I don't see why she would completely revamp the patrol schedules from scratch. That being said, I dunno who Head Boy is, but whatever. The new fifth-year prefects, including your cousins, will get the easier shifts, just watch.

But yes, do tell her to give Damien the shitty ones, I'd be forever indebted to you! Well, not really. But it's Damien, so I take what I can get when it comes to making his life difficult.

I don't know, it's the sort of OCD thing she'd do. And I don't know who the Head Boy is either. But I know that Lily asked Rose if she could have easy shifts and Rose said no... However, obviously I'm different. I'll just bribe her.
