The Basics[IC]
FULL NAME:[/b] Elisabeth Clara Russell
NICKNAME:[/b] She despises her full first name, so she’s always gone by the alias of her middle name, Clara, which mostly everyone who knows her calls her.

DESIRED HOUSE:[/b] Ravenclaw
BLOOD STATUS:[/b] Half-blood
SEXUALITY:[/b] Heterosexual
WAND:[/b] Maple, Unicorn Hair, 8 inches

The Looks [IC]
HAIR COLOR:[/b] Dirty blonde
EYE COLOR:[/b] Hazel
SKIN TONE:[/b] Caucasian, slightly tanner than most people that share her complexion during the summertime
BODY SHAPE:[/b] Very slim and generally tiny framed and of average height
OVERALL APPEARANCE:[/b] Elisabeth is skinner than most girls her age, and this along with her average height contributes to how some people may see her as quite frail and delicate from afar, which she is. She’s mostly just skin and bones, even though she eats her fair share, because she doesn’t play any sports and never will - she’s afraid of either failing majorly at it or hurting herself while she tries, or both. She wears her black-rimmed eyeglasses on a regular basis, mostly during lessons and when she’s reading/revising, but sometimes is rather forgetful when it comes to taking them off when she’s in the Great Hall for meals and doesn’t need them, which is why people are more accustomed to seeing her with her glasses on rather than the other way around. She usually doesn’t bother much with her hair, wearing it down long and curly as it is, because she’s found that attempting to tame it down a bit to look normal doesn’t exactly work out all that great. She also doesn’t think much of make-up, either, mostly wearing heavy amounts of black eyeliner and nothing else, because she thinks her eyes are too light and dull. Sometimes she gets self-conscious about this as well, and throws her glasses on so people won’t notice her use of eyeliner.

Extras [IC]
FAVOURITE CLASS:[/b] History of Magic, because she likes learning about the past much more than what the future will hold - the future is just a frightening concept for her. And there’s always the fact that absolutely no one else in her year pays much attention in that particular class because they find it boring, so she likes having at least one thing that sets her out from the rest of her classmates, even if it means enjoying a class that everyone else hates.
LEAST FAVOURITE CLASS:[/b] Care of Magical Creatures, because it requires going outside and at most points actually having to talk to the people around her to understand the lesson.
BROOM:[/b] N/A - she’s far too clumsy to have ever even attempted Quidditch, or flying in general.
PET/S:[/b] N/A
HOBBIES:[/b] reading [especially Muggle poetry], sketching landscapes, avoiding people/staying secluded and not drawing any sort of attention to herself [after so many years of doing it, it’s actually become a normal past-time for her]

Personality [IC]
LIKES:[/b] guys that she definitely shouldn’t like, attending school and all her lessons, books [because they're her only best friends], her book of drawings that she's sketched in for the past few years, Muggle television, her mother and father
DISLIKES:[/b] her first name,
BAD HABITS:[/b] there are days she goes through when she doesn't talk to a single person except her professors when they directly ask her a question; she doesn't socialize at all or make any sort of steps to talk to people she doesn't know; she skips meals sometimes if she feels too afraid to go face everyone in her house that will be sitting at their table; she only sleeps a few hours each night even when she feels that she's tired enough to get a good amount of sleep; she over-revises [yes, it is possible] to a point of craziness since she has nothing else to do
GOOD HABITS:[/b] speaking politely when she actually has to talk to people; getting all her schoolwork done on time; not judging anyone before getting to know them; not really paying attention to all the shit that people say about other people behind their backs, because she finds it irrelevant and knows that none of it applies to her, anyway; drawing out her feelings instead of intentionally hurting herself, as she knew her brother always did
STRENGTHS:[/b] excellent in all her subjects, but especially Arithmancy, History of Magic, and Transfiguration; quickly being able to sense when someone around her seems upset, even if they haven't said a word to her; sensitive and a good listener; being invisible without an Invisibility Cloak because no one really takes much notice of her; can recite long passages that she's read ages ago because of her so-called photographic memory
WEAKNESSES:[/b] always being consumed in nostalgia; never being strong enough to let go of the things that have happened in the past; feeling she'll never be good enough for anyone; falling for one guy and falling so hard that she's never been able to snap herself out of it ever since first year
PERSONALITY:[/b] To say that Elisabeth is a very quiet, very shy individual would be the understatement of the year. She's been in a shell ever since her first year at Hogwarts because of events that transpired at her household the year prior to her receiving her acceptance letter to the school, and her personality now is a stark contrast to what it was before she turned 10 and her entire world fell apart around her. She used to be bubbly and outgoing for her age, and easily able to make friends at her Muggle school, but now that's all a thing of a past and she rarely makes an effort to talk to anyone at all around her, even though she's been at Hogwarts for a little over five years now. She thus doesn't have many friends, let alone close friends, and keeps to herself, only mildly associating with her few acquaintances that she shares lessons with when she's having one of her good days. She also tends to keep a smile on her face all the time to hide what she's really feeling.
She keeps to herself, finding solace in books and her drawings and all the little things that she tries to enjoy in life. She hasn't really taken much of an interest in looking good or fit or any of the things that she always sees her fellow students strive for, because she doesn't think that she has anyone in particular to look good for, since people tend to forget that she even exists. She likes having it that way, though, never doing anything significant that will draw attention - negative or positive - to her in any way, because the fact that she doesn't bother with her appearance that much doesn't mean that she's not self-conscious. She'll blush easily if she thinks too many people are looking at her at once. She's also irrationally paranoid the majority of the time that the people that do acknowledge her existence think terribly of her. Because of these fears, she walks straight from her lessons and back to her dormitory and seldom frequents common room or the Great Hall or anywhere else where there's obvious socializing going on unless she really needs to, because she has next to no one to socialize with and doesn't want to make this any more apparent than it already is. She does spend a lot of time in the library reading and revising and just plain taking the time to think, however, always finding a secluded table near the back window because sometimes being holed up in her dorm gets constricting, and the view from the window where she sits at is perfect inspiration for her drawings.
When someone talks to her, she tries her best to make polite conversation to not seem like a total freak, and most of her house and dorm-mates that she's had enough courage to talk to in the past with the lame excuse of asking about an assignment have taken a liking to her, though she's oblivious to this. She doesn't take the initiative of talking to anyone unless talked to first, which is a horrible habit that she thinks she'll never be able to break at this point because she's afraid of letting anyone into her life and growing to care about them just to see them leave her because she's either not cool or good enough.

Memories [IC]
BOGGART:[/b] Her mum or dad dying.
DEMENTOR:[/b] When her parents sat her down when she came home from primary school one day and told her that her older brother was dead.
PATRONUS:[/b] She honestly can't remember her last happy memory/thought, which in turn depresses her even more.
MIRROR OF ERISED:[/b] To be a normal family again with her mother, father, and older brother, even though that'll never be possible.
VERITASERUM:[/b] 1.) She's unfortunately utterly and irreversibly in love with Damien Malfoy - she's had a crush on him ever since they bumped into each other once in the corridors during first year, which she realizes sounds absolutely pathetic when she's played it back in her head. After years of being in the same classroom for lessons with him, she's gotten to know him from afar and hears a lot about him when she overhears people talking about the more popular people in her year, which is how she found out last year that he was dating Aggy Bass. Unlike most other girls she knows who make it their job to 'accidentally' let their feelings be known to the guy they fancy or confide to their best friends about it, this is a complete secret that no one else but her knows, considering she's far too frightened to admit that she's head over heels for someone who's obviously taken by someone so much prettier and more perfect than her in every aspect, and she doesn't have any close friends to disclose this information to, even if she wanted to. She's tried to feel the same thing for other guys that are vaguely attractive, but she could never do it and always falls back into sync with her hopeless crush on Damien. She doesn't have anything against Aggy Bass, because she's just not the kind of person to hold grudges, especially against someone who's not at fault - she's aware that it's completely her fault that she never was bold enough to strike up any type of conversation with Damien in order to get to know him better when he didn't have a girlfriend, and that's one of her biggest regrets, even if she wouldn't have had any chance with him anyway.
2.) She's seriously contemplated killing herself before, though she'd never went as far as planning out a concrete method. She'd never tell her parents about this even though they've made it clear that they'll always be there for her through anything, no matter what, because she knows that they'll think that she's just a repeat of her older brother and it'll hurt too much for them to handle.
3.) Her favorite Muggle literary work is 'Romeo and Juliet' by William Shakespeare, which is one of her biggest and most well-kept secrets, because she's paranoid that people will judge her for it because it's cliche and bashed to a great extent and overused all across Muggle media so much that it's basically a joke now. She thinks that it was raw and true and beautifully tragic, which all happen to be qualities that she always tries to get across in her drawings. She also doesn't want people to jump to conclusions if they put two and two together about how she feels about Damien, because she doesn't relate her feelings for him at all to Romeo and Juliet. This is pretty much the only work that she'll lie about if asked about her favorite literature, not that anyone other than her parents cares enough about her at the moment to inquire about her favorite things.
AMORTENTIA:[/b] any familiar library, the perfume her older brother used to use, the flowers that bloom around the Hogwarts courtyard during the spring

Family & History [IC]
MOTHER:[/b] Mara Russell, 46 years old, Half-blood, Auror.
FATHER:[/b] Anthony Russell, 48 years old, Half-blood, Daily Prophet journalist.
SIBLINGS:[/b] Nicholas Russell, killed himself in 2018, when he was 18 years old.
OTHER IMPORTANT FAMILY:[/b] Henry Russell, 50 years old, Muggle-born, uncle.
Katerina Russell, 51 years old, Half-blood, aunt.
Ethan Russell, 16 years old, sixth year at Hogwarts, Half-blood, cousin.
HISTORY:[/b] Elisabeth was born into a caring, nearly perfect family that consisted of her mother and father and brother, Nicholas, who was 8 years older than her. They all loved her very much and functioned well together like the standard family they were. She watched the four of them transition through many typical dilemmas that most families went through, such as financial issues, moving houses several times, and the like. Even at a young age, she was very intelligent, intuitive, and a slight introvert, spending a lot of time reading advanced books that she borrowed from her brother instead of going on play-dates with her friends from Muggle primary school.
It wasn't until she was around 8 years old and her brother was a sixth-year at Hogwarts that things began to go downhill for her family - or at least, she began to notice that they were, as she was far more observant than her parents believed her to be. Her brother was suffering from depression and anxiety, two words that even a genuinely smart girl like herself couldn't seem to grasp. She continually tried to ask her mum and dad what was really wrong with her older brother - who happened to still be her very best friend and confidant - but they always insisted that it was nothing, thinking she wouldn't be able to understand.
When she was 10 years old, she had no choice but to understand, as her brother had committed suicide at the age of 18, a year after graduating Hogwarts. The word 'suicide' was never explicitly mentioned to her by her parents, as they wanted to shield her from the truth, but it only took her a few days to figure out what had happened as the funeral proceedings drew to a close and the extended family that had been swarming her and her mother and father with their condolences finally halted. The amount of impact the next few weeks of grief had on her is still enormous - she spent a long while not saying anything much to anyone, even her parents, and they were concerned that her grief was lasting far too long. A visit to a local healer confirmed that everything was alright, that her depression was just a stage and everything would go back to normal in a few short months, but she never truly recovered from it in the full sense of the word 'recovery.'
In all honesty, she was never the same person again - maybe because she wasn't strong enough to deal with it, or maybe because she didn't want to be strong enough to deal with it - she hasn't come to a conclusion yet, because it hurts too much to think about it. Either way, this one major event that more or less ended her childhood still haunts her presently, making it insanely difficult for her to function on some days. It made her fear trivial things, such as the dark and loud noises and ropes and pretty much anything she sees that can potentially be used to kill oneself [though she figured out that her brother died of suicide, she was never told how he did it]. But she still goes on, hoping that her brother is out there somewhere and watching her, since she's never let him out of her heart. No one but her family knows about her traumatic past, obviously, and when she's at home during the holidays she's more normal than she is at school, trying to give her parents the illusion that she is happy and content with her life. She doesn't want them to worry about their only child that they love even more now than they did when they had two children, since she's all they have left and want to raise her right, as opposed to whatever they did wrong that led to Nicholas's untimely death.
