Salem Academy for Witchcraft and Wizardry - Located in Mount Greylock in Berkshire County, Massachusetts USA. It's location is unplottable. - Founded in 1643 by James Stewart, a pureblood wizard from Yorkshire. - The Headmaster is James Xavier; he's been headmaster for the last twenty three years. Before becoming headmaster - having taken over the post after Elizabeth Caudwell retired - Professor Xavier taught Transfiguration and dabbled in 'The study of Magic in other Cultures." - Courses taught include, but are not limited to, "History of Magic" (core subject), "Transfiguration"(core subject), "The Study of Magic in otherCultures"(elective), "Wiccan Witchcraft" (elective), - Students who are candidates for attendance receive their 'Salem' letters at the age of eleven. Students attend Salem between the ages of 11-18. - Adjacent to the City of Boston, Essex Alley is the hot spot for all of eager students to buy their necessities for school.
