GOOD HABITS: Constantly cooks for people, works hard at his school work, has excellent manners
BAD HABITS: Bites his nails, sings tunelessly in the shower, and expects too much from himself.
STRENGTHS: His cooking, his kind heart, his open-mindedness, his enthusiasm for life, his manners, his loyalty and generosity.
WEAKNESSES: Quidditch, being accident prone, singing (he's practically tone deaf), anything his little sister asks of him, his inability to say no when someone asks him to do them a favour, falling for inappropriate girls, his own perfectionism.
OVERALL PERSONALITY: Angus Wood is a ladies' man in completely the opposite way from his brother Bow. He's always got on with girls; he's not sure why, but it's probably to do with the fact that a) he's quite a sensitive person in general, b) he never tries to get into their pants, and c) he is genuinely interested in what they're interested in. Not for himself necessarily, but he's a perfectly willing participant, whether the activity is quidditch, partying, gossiping, clothes shopping or trying on make-up (as an observer). He will notice if a girl is wearing a new dress or has had her hair cut, and he'll always try and say something nice about it. This makes him come across as quite camp, although he is not, in fact, gay. His brother's methods of charming girls worries and annoys him; he feels that Bow gives girls no respect, although he's hoping that Rosa is managing to change that. Angus, unlike Bow, is an old-fashioned gentleman towards girls. His behaviour towards them is constantly shaped by what he would hope other guys' behaviour towards his own sister would be.
In many ways, he's a bit of a mother hen. He loves to cook, and nothing pleases him better than seeing people sitting down to a meal he's prepared for them; conversely, if he thinks people aren't eating properly, he worries about them and tries to give them food. He worries about things generally, and tends to take a lot of responsibility upon himself unnecessarily. He feels it's his job to look after people, and can get very gloomy if he feels he's failed.
He's something of a perfectionist, at least in the things he values. He accepts that there are things he's not so good at, but at the things he is good at, nothing but the best results will suffice. Perhaps surprisingly, school work is one of these things. He's one of those people who is on the verge of being one of the real high-fliers, if he works extremely hard. This means that he does work hard, but it also means that he gets easily frustrated if his grades don't live up to what he wants.
Generally, however, he is a cheerful, easygoing sort of person. He likes to have fun, and has a surprisingly high alcohol tolerance level; he can consume large amounts and still be no more than tipsy, which is an advantage for anyone who happens to be partying with them, as he's the kind of guy who will always look after the people he's with, even if that means carrying them home on his back. He's mostly very confident and happy with who he is, although he's come to the conclusion that he's not remotely fanciable; he's the kind of boy girls want to be friends with and wish was their brother, and say would make an amazing husband someday – to somebody else.
He loves to try new things, and his dream is to travel the world, sampling and learning to cook the local foods from every place. He is fascinated by different cultures, and will ask endless questions of any foreign person he meets. He is also, however, proud of his own culture and heritage – mixed English and Scottish, and nothing pleases him better than a cultural exchange with someone who is also genuinely interested. He hates closed minds and intolerance and the attitude of 'we're better than you,' in any form. This applies to all kinds of prejudice; he simply doesn't understand it, and it's one of the few things that will make him angry.
He's immensely accident prone, one of the things that makes him bad at quidditch. If he can drop something, fall over something, fall off something or cut himself on something, he will. It's not that he has no coordination (he can crack eggs with one hand whilst weighing out flour with the other); it just seems to be bad luck. He quite likes flying, and playing quidditch, although he has nothing of the manic drive to win that some of his family do – to him, it's just a game; one he enjoys, but isn't very good at, due to his tendency to fall off his broom and get hit with bludgers.

[CHARACTER.MEMORIES.ETC]
BOGGART: Finding out that nobody really likes him, all his friends are only pretending.
DEMENTOR: The day when his father gave him his first broom, and he promptly fell off. It isn't the pain of his broken collar bone that he remembers, but the indescribable disappointment on his father's face. That was the moment that Angus realised that, no matter how much his parents loved him, no matter what he did, he was always going to be a slight disappointment to his father.
PATRONUS: The day he first saw Alex. He remembers going to see her and his mother in St Mungo's, and leaning over the bed to look, and being bowled over by his little sister's beauty.
MIRROR OF ERISED: His father being genuinely and completely proud of something he has done.
VERITASERUM:
At the end of his third year, Angus thought he might be gay. He now knows that he isn't, but during the weeks of uncertainty, he faced down the idea and came to terms with who he really is; if he had been gay, he would have announced it proudly. As it is, he's a lot more comfortable with himself than he was, so on the whole, he thinks it was a good thing.
He didn't take Divination because it was an easy subject, as he pretends; he took it because he genuinely believed in it. A part of him still does.
He brings his childhood teddy bear to school every term.

SIBLINGS: Bowman Wood, 18, Ministry employee
Alexandria Wood, 14, fourth year Ravenclaw.
OTHER IMPORTANT FAMILY:
HISTORY: Angus Matthew Wood was born at 11.15pm on June 9th, 2005, in St Mungo's Hospital. He already had one older brother at this stage, Bowman, who was just a year old at the time. Angus cannot remember a time when he wasn't confused by Bow. As a small child, he thought his brother was everything that was wonderful and tried to imitate him, but found himself utterly puzzled by some of the things Bow did and enjoyed. Where Bow was reckless, Angus was cautious; where Bow was tactless and rude, Angus was sensitive and polite. He tried to reason with his brother, but it never had any effect. All he could do was trail in his wake and try to minimise the damage.
Three years into his life, Alexandria came along. Angus was deeply confused (again) by the prospect of having a new baby brother or sister. It was explained to him that the baby was in his mother's tummy, but this was an unsatisfactory explanation. He asked many probing questions about how the baby had actually got there, but was provided with no good answer, something that sadly puzzled him, because Mummy and Daddy were supposed to know everything. He cried all night when his mother was taken into hospital, because nobody explained to him that babies are supposed to be born in hospital, and he thought that something was wrong.
The next day, he and Bow were taken to visit their mother and sister. Angus was initially simply relieved to see that his mother was alive and apparently well, but then he was shown his sister, and immediately fell in love. He was astounded by how perfect she was, and when she came home, he was quite content to sit by her cot and simply stare at her for hours. He gave her endless gifts of toys and food (it had to be explained to him, after baby Alex was found covered in sticky peanut butter, that she wasn't able to eat yet, because she didn't have any teeth); the only thing he could not give her, as he explained solemnly to her, was his teddy bear, Caterpillar, because he couldn't do without him. Everything else that belonged to him was hers.
His affection for his sister was toned down a little as he got older, but never disappeared. He still has a tendency to smother her with it at times, and treats her like a little girl – he would be genuinely shocked if someone broke the news to him that she's now fourteen. His desire to imitate Bow, however, did disappear, although he's still fond of his brother. He grew his own personality in the year after Bow went to Hogwarts, and found (guiltily) that it was a relief not to have his brother around all the time to be looked up to.
When he arrived at Hogwarts, fresh-faced and full of expectation, he discovered that Bow had already developed a reputation, something that Angus fought to escape from right from the start. Always fascinated by the unexplainable, Angus took Divination and Arithmancy in 3rd Year, although he dropped Arithmancy when he discovered that his maths skills were abysmal. He developed a slight craze for Divination for a while, and although he has grown more realistic about it as he's got older (and pretends, for the sake of his reputation, to think that it's nonsense), there is still a large part of him that finds it fascinating. His favourite subject, however, is Potions, because it requires the same skills as cooking.
As he and his brother entered puberty, he became horrified by Bow's attitudes to girls and relationships. To Angus, his brother simply treated girls with the greatest of disrespect; all Angus' own behaviour was determined by thoughts of how he would feel if someone behaved that way to Alex – his philosophy was, and still is, that if he wouldn't like someone treating his sister that way, he won't treat any other girl that way. That attitude is perhaps the reason why he is still a virgin. Never the most masculine of boys, towards the end of his third year, someone asked him, in all innocence, whether he was gay. This led Angus to ask this question of himself, and come up with the answer that he wasn't sure. For several months, he agonised over this, eventually coming to the conclusion that if he was, he was perfectly fine with that, and not remotely ashamed of it. Then he fell head over heels for a girl, and realised that he definitely wasn't gay. By the end of his fourth year, he knew he wasn't bisexual either, and couldn't understand how he could ever have been in doubt. However, the crisis had the effect of making him do a lot of soul searching and becoming much happier and more confident in being the person he is, and more accepting of who other people are. All in all, he became a less uptight person, so he can only assume that it was a good thing. He never told anyone about this period of his life, although he came close a couple of times.
After that first time, Angus fell hard and fast for a succession of girls, but never told any of them, so it rarely went anywhere. He is kind and attentive to all girls, irrespective of his feelings for them, but in between his infatuations, he still believes that Alex is the most beautiful girl in the world (in a purely platonic, brotherly way obviously, because anything else would be disgusting), something that worries him a lot these days, because although he still things of her as a child, part of him can see that she's growing up, and he worries that boys will try and take advantage of her.
The rest of his time at Hogwarts has been uneventful. He is a hard-working boy who achieves pretty good grades, and he is much better behaved than either of his siblings. He did well in his OWLs and is expected to do equally well in his NEWTs this year. He considers himself close to both his siblings, but regrets that he isn't closer to his parents. Sometimes, he wishes they weren't so laid back that they largely ignore the doings of their children.
