introducing... [/i]  the awe-inspiring
aislinn macelfrish[/color] APPLICATION - 25 - SCOTTISH - TEACHER - IT'S COMPLICATED[/center] aislinn is the ravenclaw head of house and professor of flying at hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry - it's her job, basically, to fix all of the ravenclaw students' problems with life in general, to teach the little'uns how to fly, and to organise all the quidditch-y stuff and whatnot. alienated from and eventually disowned by her family at the age of eighteen due to her magical abilities, she drifted around both the muggle and magical worlds for a while before settling on teaching flying as an actual job - she's therefore got experience in a lot of things. she's good fun and highly intelligent but she doesn't trust hugely easily and can be quite reticent about her family and past - if you're in the know, you're pretty privileged.
currently, she's on the cusp of a very complicated relationship with jack hewer, so a current romance is probably out of the question - feel free to plot past relationships or crushes, or even current crushes though; she's an attractive girl! i'm not sure how many enemies she'd have - she doesn't get on with her family at all, but she still loves them, deep down. if you can think of a reason why your character would hate her though, please go ahead - it could be interesting to play out! she is most definitely in need of friends - i don't think she really has any at the minute...  the astounding
amelia macmillanAPPLICATION - 14 - ENGLISH - HUFFLEPUFF - SINGLEnever mind one-in-a-million, amelia is one-on-her-own. with a bit of a - mostly deserved, to be honest - reputation for being a bit lot of a weirdo, she's not the sort to have thousands of friends. she loves her brother, frankie, and gets on with him, most of the time at least! she adores writing and photography - one day she wants to be a travel journalist, exploring the world and satisfying her wanderlust. meanwhile, however, she's still at hogwarts. and she finds it pointless. she's not so hot at paying attention in lessons, or even attending, half of the time - she consequently spends a lot of time in detention. she's very mild-mannered, though, and unexpectedly intuitive for someone who mostly appears to inhabit her own world - she'd make a good friend if anyone needed one.
so, basically - she could so with some friends, but not loads, and they'd have to be brave souls. it takes a lot for her to hate someone, so she wouldn't necessarily have enemies as such. people are, however, likely to be a bit perturbed by her unusual world-view, and might not like her. she may or may not notice this. romance-wise? throw what you like at me, and i'll see what fits her character!  the effervescent
ellen urquhart[/color] APPLICATION - 30 - ENGLISH - AUROR - MARRIED[/center] ellen's an auror, and she loves it. her family are english, but she was originally educated at beauxbatons (her pureblood supremacist family wanted to 'shield' her from the 'poisonous' influence of her radical aunt - more on her later!). she transferred to hogwarts for her sixth year, so that she could gain her NEWTs. the results were explosive - she passed her year with flying colours, and hated her future husband, just to summarise. ellen is determined that justice will prevail, and naturally very protective of her three younger siblings; gloria, michael and robert - perhaps more-so of gloria, as she's the youngest. she originally took a job as a reporter for the daily prophet, but entered the auror training scheme pretty soon after, as she completely hated it (journalism-ing, that is).
she got around a bit back in the day, so past romances are a) very likely, and b) very much welcomed! with an adored husband and a toddler and potentially another baby on the way, however, present ones are not! dark wizards and petty criminals are likely to be ellen's enemies, but perhaps she's broken your heart in the past? she could also do with some more friends, though she has a couple - she's outgoing and impulsive!

elsie james[/color] APPLICATION - 26 - ENGLISH - SCHOOL NURSE - 'HOMEWRECKER'[/center] the school healer at hogwarts, elsie can fix everybody's problems but her own. determined, focused and extremely good at her job, she can initially seem a little intimidating - unless you're her patient, of course. she cares a great deal for her students, and though she misses the hustle and bustle of st. mungo's, there's a small but insistent part of her which keeps her rooted at the school. she fell into a relationship with her married tutor whilst still an intern at the hospital, and it was this that caused her to lose her position at st. mungo's and transfer to hogwarts. it started as sex and lust and too-many-late-night-shifts-together, but now it might just be love. shame it's currently broken off then, really.
her best friends are lidia fairchild and past-boyfriend luke merryweather, but more friends are always welcome! she lost a few due to the affair, and could do with picking some up. you'd think that romance might be off the cards right now, but you could be surprised... elsie's approach to being thrown off the metaphorical horse is to leap right back on - rebound relationships and casual flings have occurred in the past, and are highly probable right now, if you're interested! enemies include, of course, mark's wife, kate dashwood. if you'd like to throw down the gauntlet and hate elsie as well, go for it! james potter[/color] APPLICATION - 17 - ENGLISH - GRYFFINDOR - TAKEN[/center] james is the newest and shiniest of my characters thus far! cue cheers, and whatnot. outwardly appearing a bit of a shallow, socialite-type, underneath it all he's a sensitive soul, with a surprising knack for herbology. he's protective of albus and lily (especially lily), and - contrary to popular opinion - did not forget lily's birthday! out of all his cousins, he's probably closest to rose, but he loves them all, and would do pretty much anything for them.
he's gorgeous, and boy does he know it- however, he's happily relationship-ed with cassie lewis at present, so sorry ladies - he's off the market!
i think he's fairly popular, so some friends couldbe handy, but if he doesn't float your boat, he's likely to have put some noses out of joint, so we could be enemies if you preferred. romance-wise, as already mentioned, he's currently got a girlfriend, but past relationships would be appreciated!  the nebulous
noelle chaucer[/color] APPLICATION - 46 - ENGLISH - EVENTS PLANNER - IT'S BEYOND COMPLICATED[/center] remember ellen's 'awful' aunt... well, here she is! noelle is probably the vaguest of my characters, regarding black-and-white, and right-and-wrong. she rebelled at an extremely early age against her family's notions of pureblood supremacy, only to end up falling in love with rabastan lestrange, deatheater extraordinaire. oh, the irony... she fell pregnant with kale during a rare (and promptly banned) visit to see rabastan after his incarceration in azkaban, and was reviled by pureblood and 'ordinary' society for that, though admittedly for different reasons. her life in pieces, the youngest chaucer daughter - whom by rights should never have had to work in her life - set about rebuilding it, scraping by earning money by any means to support herself and her newborn child until she had enough saved by to start her own business venture. 'tu bora', her events management company surprised even herself with its rapid success, and she's never looked back. at least, not until rabastan recently broke out of azkaban... her life has currently been plunged back into turmoil once more, but with kale fully grown, are the stakes of this dangerous game even higher now?
she's been in love with rabastan lestrange for twenty-odd years now, i doubt that'll change - romances other than that are off the table, i'm afraid! she initially appears very icy, so good luck getting past that if you want to be her friend. i can't imagine that she'd have all that many - she's overly prideful, independent and self-sufficient. out of all my characters, she's probably the most likely to have a lot of enemies - her teenage rebellion and relationship with lestrange alienated pretty much everybody.  the ravishing
rose weasley[/color] APPLICATION - 16 - ENGLISH - GRYFFINDOR - YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW?[/center][/size] ah, rosie, rosie, rose. rose is a true mishmash of her parents - she has hermione's intellect and prefect-ness smushed together with ron's red hair and lack of tact. her talent for quidditch comes from neither of them. popular, loud and good-hearted, rose has lived her life in the spotlight, and is almost as good as james at pretending that she doesn't completely hate it. her temper is legendary, though, so watch out! she's a irrepressible collector of waifs and strays, always ready to take anyone under her wing.
her best, best friends are chloe nott and jo kirke, but like i said - she has plenty, so join the crowd! she gets on well with her family, even lucy, though not so much molly. her love-life is notoriously complicated - i'll take lots of romance, tah! she's currently interested in seth wishart, and has sort-of recently broken up with kaycee o'malley, something that she's still feeling a wee bit heartbroken and very guilty about. if you want to be her enemy, feel free - she can give as good as she gets! [/size] 
the superb
saoirse flynn[/color] APPLICATION - 20 - IRISH - BARMAID - SEEING JETHRO HUNTER[/center] pretty, clumsy and can fight off werewolves. saoirse wanted to be an auror, but ended up rejecting her position on the training scheme because she wanted to have the time to care for her ailing great-aunt bridget. orphaned at a very young age, saoirse was brought up by bridget - a strictly devout muggle catholic, who was surprisingly accepting of saoirse's unusual gift - and adores her completely. feisty yet efficient, saoirse is a wonderful barmaid, minus her knack for tripping over her own feet at least ten times a day. her position means that she knows a lot of what goes on in hogsmeade - whether she tells or not is a whole other story...
she's currently got more-than-a-little-bit of a crush on a certain jethro hunter, so again, current romances aren't really on the horizon. she's a complete flirt though, so past hook-ups or relationships and flirtations are very welcome! outgoing and bubby, she could do with some more friendships! she's muggle-born, so if that turns you off, you might class her as your enemy - well, that and if she's ever tipped a drink over your head (probably, but not definitely, by accident.) layout credit to me.

VALERIE AND ROSE [/size][/right] Hmm... Val and Jo Kirke are friends, so Val would know Rose. Ooorr... there's this other idea I thought up. Maybe they were quite close-ish friends for the first couple of years in Hogwarts, and because Val can be a bit distant with everyone, they grew distant over third or fourth year? Now, they could be trying to get their friendship back or something. |

moomin [/b][/i] VALERIE AND ROSE [/size][/right] sounds good to me, lovely! they seem almost polar opposites to me though - valerie's elegant, rose isn't. valerie likes fashion and hair-stuff, rose doesn't. valerie has a very good command over her temper, rose definitely doesn't. - with only a couple of exceptions: they're both brutally honest and neither is so hot on talking about their feelings. i love the idea of them working to try and sort out their friendship (mostly 'cause i love val...) - but i can also imagine that it might not be all that straight forward: i think even if they like each other, they'd find each other exasperating and a little irritating, and i can foresee a leeeetle competition for grades, on rose's part at least! it could be quite interesting to play, d'you think? |

MARIA AND AMELIA [/size][/right] I really, really love Amelia! Maria too is a bit of a weirdo in her own right, in that she's quite quiet and doesn't have many close friends (many friends, yes, but not close ones). And Gina, Lissie and I decided that she, Hugo and Allie are friends... if you like, maybe we could have them as just acknowledging each other before, but growing closer this year? Last year there was an... incident in the last few days which pretty much alienated Maria from the rest of her year, so she's turning to other years for friends. gosh that sounds bad ADE AND JAMES [/size][/right] Pretty much mutual dislike for now, yeah? Up till now, Ade's been a total goody-goody and rule-follower and extremely conscious of what people think of her, and James is the exact opposite, or at least he appears to be. She'll be kind of disgusted at his general attitude and the way he comports himself. And he'd probably mock her for being such an uptight person. Unless maybe he'd perceive her a bit differently? I'm not really sure... |

kitty [/b][/i] MARIA AND AMELIA [/size][/right] ooo- what did she do?! /completely missed all of that drama! to be perfectly honest, it's highly likely that amelia would continue not actually noticing maria's existence - she's not rude, or at least, she doesn't mean to be, but there's a distinct possibility she may not be from this planet. amelia is friends with allie, so we could have them more as friends-of-friends, possibly? not very close, but they do know each other. ADE AND JAMES [/size][/right] sounds fabby to me! i don't think james would go out of his way to mock her - he's not malicious - but if she was snarky towards him (which i gather from their differing personalities, she's quite likely to be), he'd definitely argue back! |

Where to start...? LOUIS AND ROSE [/size][/right] weasley cousins stick together and all that... louis loves all his family and i think rose would be one of the ones he loves best. so, close? LOUIS AND AMELIA [/size][/right] louis genuinely wouldn't care that she's weird; he'd still go out of his way to be friends if he could. in fact, he'd like it; she would amuse him. and he'd consider it a terrible thing if he didn't know all the hufflepuffs to at least say hello to... LOUIS AND JAMES [/size][/right] cousins, friends, rivals and partners in crime just about sums it up in my head... lol. JO AND ROSE [/size][/right] well i don't know if jo and rose are quite as close as chloe and rose, but best friends nonetheless? JO AND JAMES [/size][/right] they're in the same house, and would presumably know each other reasonably well, given that they're both close with rose, and jo is also friends with cassie. i think jo would find james' antics amusing, although his apparent arrogance might get on her nerves slightly at times. she'd love him really though, and she tends to get on with boys quite well, so casual friends? LILY AND ROSE [/size][/right] again, lily loves every member of her family. i'd imagine that harry's kids would have grown up very close to ron and hermione's, so rose would be one of the cousins lily is closest to, almost like a sister more than a cousin. they're quite different in many ways, but they both love books and don't really do girly stuff, so they can bond over that... LILY AND JAMES [/size][/right] lily adores her brothers, much as she despairs of them sometimes. she'll mother them if they give her the chance, and she'd forgive them just about anything. i think if she was scared or upset, and in need of protection, it would be james she turned to first though. just a warning though: don't let her hear about anything you don't want repeated to ginny and/or harry. lily doesn't have any secrets from her parents, and it wouldn't occur to her that her brothers might. LILY AND AMELIA [/size][/right] they're the same year, and lily wouldn't be fazed by amelia's weirdness at all. i don't know if they'd be close, as they're both the type not to have many close friends. but i saw above that amelia and allie vega are friends, and lily is friends with allie too, in a casual way; lily helps allie with her school work sometimes, i believe. JETHRO AND SAOIRSE [/size][/right] erm, obvious, i think. jethro really likes her, but is kind of hesitant about dragging her into his rather complex family situation. at the moment, though, he's doing the typical jethro thing of going ahead anyway and not thinking about what he's doing too much, but this will probably catch up with him at some point. he also has slightly complicated unresolved issues with one tessa marquise, which could cause some drama... EMILY AND ELSIE [/size][/right] they're colleagues at hogwarts, and probably have a similar sort of attitude to life in a lot of ways. friends? i don't think she would know about the affair, but em's not easily shocked, and she's not very judgemental, so if she ever did find out, i think she'd try to be understanding, although she is a bit sensitive about cheating... BECKY AND ELSIE [/size][/right] enemies for life, man. i don't think becky could ever like elsie, not without some drastic changes anyway. at the moment, she thinks she's won, but she's still watching elsie very carefully. if mark and kate split, elsie will get the blame, and becky only started to show what she's capable of with elsie's wrecked room... SCORPIUS AND ROSE [/size][/right] ex-enemies, now friends who still like to antagonise each other... right? we need to rp these two together again, they amused me! SCORPIUS AND JAMES [/size][/right] i'm going to say... not friends. i doubt if they've really encountered each other much, but scorpius is/was close friends with albus, and now of course is with james' cousin. i think their personalities would clash, and they'd annoy the hell out of each other, and scorpius has believed for a long time that the whole family is insane (he thinks the same about gryffindors, so that's two counts of insanity against james, haha). however, i think he'd make more of an effort to be polite now, for roxie's sake. EMILY AND AISLINN [/size][/right] again, colleagues, and they're a similar age. aislinn's reserve about certain things might have meant that they never really got close, but i think they'd have a friendly relationship anyway. emily gets on well with jack, and is quite ready to interfere in that relationship if she sees fit at any point... TABBI AND ELLEN [/size][/right] i think we said these two worked together back when ellen was at the prophet, and that she was a bit of a mentor figure to tabbi in those days. i also think i ditched their thread, so if so, i'm really sorry... SCORPIUS AND NOELLE [/size][/right] i can't think of where these two would even meet, but they'd know each other, from pureblood circles. i doubt if they've ever taken that much notice of each other, but kale sees the malfoys as a bit like younger siblings, so. oh, and scorpius gave kale drugs on two separate occasions, so noelle probably shouldn't find out about that... |

NICKI AND JAMES [/size][/right] well i had this with the previous james and i wonder if you're up for it, but nicki and james could have dated back in their fifth year and had a bit of a messy breakup? now they could be on slightly awkward-good-ish friends terms? |
