PERSONALITY:[/b] Lysha is a very complicated girl who has a lot of issues with her family. She's the second born child to "star-crossed" lovers as her sister likes to call them. Their first child didn't survive, and Alysha was the next born. Her Mum suffered from PPD syndrome, and didn't take care of Alysa, Blaise did when he could. Because of this, Alysha resents her family, and shows this outwardly. She's very mean to her little sister, Diya. She taunts her in front of people, will shove her around, given the chance, and isn't above hair-pulling.
She's been coined a bitch by some in her years at Hogwarts because of her take no holds attitude, and her fuck it all way of seeing things. If something doesn't benefit her, chances are, Alysha isn't going to have anything to do with it. She doesn't go out of her way for other people, and she refuses to put herself on the line for anyone.
Alysha has a huge jealous string, which she largely blames her family for. When he parents praise Diya for good-grades and what not, Alysha will often make inappropriate noises in the background, and then taunt her sister later. She will go as far as telling Diya that all she'll ever be is a book worm, she'll never actually live her life.
Another large part of Alysha that is prominent to note is her sexual prowress. She lost her virginity when she was barely fifteen, and ever since then has been struggling with the fact that she thinks she's a lesbian. It was the sex, per-say that turned her off, though she was a little too drunk to remember if it was consensual or not, but the fact that she didn't feel any attraction to the guy. She snogged a few more guys, and discovered the same thing. But at the end of her fourth year, she snogged a girl, and her world shifted underneath her. Now, she attempts to hide her lesbian feelings by over-sexualizing herself. She likes to dress in skimpy clothes, chat up boys, and will do just about whatever , wherever with them all in an attempt to fight her feelings with for other girls. She's afraid of what her parents would say about her being gay because she is almost certain that she is a lesbian.
Underneath it all, she really just wants someone to love her. She doesn't believe that her mother does, her father is too busy at work, or helping Diya that he doesn't care too much for her. Leela is just six and doesn't understand much, so she couldn't possibly help Lysha.
Don't get her wrong, though. Alysha is the farthest thing from stupid. She may give boys what they want, she may be irrationally jealous of her little sister, but she's smart, and cunning. A true Slytherin; straight to the core. She's tricky, manipulative, cunning, and clever. She doesn't enjoy doing her work, but when she does it, it is done right and well.

Eloise Zabini, paternal grandmother (she's about the only relative Alysha willingly will go and see without protest. Lysha finds that she get's along with her the best out of her family, but she's still terrified of telling her the truth).
HISTORY:[/b] It caused a scandal in the wizarding world when Blaise Zabini, one of the heirs of the Pureblood families married Parvati Patil, who was, for the lack of a better world, a high ranking DA member. But they were too in love to let anything separate them and when, after a year, a child was born to them, the couple were ecstatic. But the happiness did not last as the child died a few weeks after it was born. The couple was distraught but Blaise managed to recover better than Parvati, who was completely broken. Nothing anyone did cheered her up anymore and she was falling deeper and deeper into the throes of depression. It was during this time that Alysha was born and caught in one of her worst bouts of depression, Parvati hardly ever looked after Alysha. Blaise was the one who took up the responsibility for the child and even he had little time to spare between taking care of his wife and attending to his job. In turn Alysha became cynical about family. When Diya was born, Parvati had recovered enough to look after her; she didn’t want to fail as a mother this time and paid careful attention to Diya. It made Alysha feel even more left out and to this day, the hatred she has for Diya continues.
It's not that she hates her sister, it's the simple fact that Alysha believes she's never been good enough for her family. This feeling was only compounded when her Mum became pregnant with her youngest sister, Leela. Alysha was ten at the time, and she remembers her mother being pregnant well. The main thing she remembers about her mother's pregnancy though, is her birthday. Parvati had gone into false labor with Leela and the whole family had to spend the night at St.Mungos. The next day just so happened to be Alysha's birthday, but no one the entire day wished her a happy birthday, bought her a present, or even handed her a card. No one that is except for nine year old Diya who made her way over Alysha caring a card and telling her sister Happy Birthday. Alysha responded in typical fashion, she snatched the card from her sister's hand, threw it on the ground and stomped on it. She then blamed Diya for Leela's consummation telling her that their parents wouldn't had to have tried again for another kid had Diya been born a boy. She then stomped off and found a corner to cry in.
Having spent a good potion of her childhood at her mother's home in India only made Alysha resent the culture her mother seemed so bent on imposing upon her. Alysha knows she's Indian, she doesn't make any quarrels about it, but she doesn't find the values her maternal gran and family hold have any meaning to her. Instead, she enjoyed the time she'd get to spend with her Gran back in Britain and then the time they'd spend in Italy together. She most enjoyed the trips to Italy because Diya would usually stay in India. For once, she had someone who she could confide and talk to. Because of this, Alysha likes her Gran Zabini way better and finds her values and lifestyle more appealing.
After her mother took over Madame Malkin's when Alsyahe was around five, she and her mother finally found something they could agree more on: clothes and makeup. For once, Alysha didn't feel like an outcast. She reveled in the fact that Diya was in the "girly" department. But that was as far as the relationship with her mother grew. She still resented Parvati and feels a disconnect to her Mother.
At eleven, just like any normal witch or wizard, Alysha received her Hogwarts letter. For once, the attention was all on her as both of her parents regaled her proudly for her acceptance. The sorting hat had barely been placed on her head by Professor McGonagall when the hat shouted SLYTHERIN! Alysha then made her way over to the Slytherin table, proudly rejoicing in the fact that she'd hopefully made her father proud. She was the older, she was the Zabini heir, and she was a Slytherin. Her glory was short lived, however, Diya soon joined her the next the year. And though her sister was sorted into Ravenclaw, the attenion Diya's received still made the then twelve year old Alysha's blood boil.
The next few years went off without much of a hitch. All was well except for one small fact, the older Alysha got, the more she seemed to find herself attracted to girls. At first, she thought nothing of this, and even proved it to herself in her fourth year. She'd gone to a wild party and ended up following a seventh year back to his dorm. She was was very drunk, it'd actually been the first time she'd ever drank. She distinctly thinks that she remembers saying no to the boy who'd convinced her that it was okay for her to "sleep" in his bed, to sex, but the boy had assured her that the sex has been consensual, that she hadn't said no once. Alysha can't remember, and felt that she had been too drunk for anyone to believe her. That incident only compounded the way she seemed to be feeling for girls.
In her fifth year, Alysha decided that she wanted to know more about the feelings, or attraction she seemed to be having for other girls, so she acted on them, and snogged a few girls. Her world changed, she realised that she like girls. She liked the touch of their skin, the feel of them, everything. . . and this scared her. Scared her so much that she decided to become promiscuous with boys. Any boy, really. She didn't want to be a lesbian. As much as she hated her family, or seemed to hate her feeling, she felt that being gay would completely out her from them.
Till this day, Alysha is still fighting with her homosexual feelings. She outwardly considers herself to be heterosexual, with bisexual tendencies, but inside she knows she's a true lesbian.
