My name is Hanna. I'm 21 and from America. The reason it says 'English-Irish' below my picture is because I don't really believe that one can be 'American', however unpatriotic that may sound. I attend a small community college currently in upstate New York (graduating this month), but I'll be attending a 4-year university in Arizona come autumn. I'm most likely double-majoring in Journalism and Creative Writing, with a minor in Psychology. Though, my mind tends to change every single day, so I could end up with Zoology as my major. I pretty much have nothing else to say... Which is sad. I lead a very sad, dull, boring life. School and work consume much of my life. I wish Neverland were real, because I'd totally go. song scarlet begonias by grateful dead

EIGHTEEN | BRITISH | DISORGANISEDjack hewer: [michael fassbender] head of gryffindor, thirty two years old, ex-gryffindor, defence against the dark arts professor, calm and patient and when he loses his temper you know about it, is professor o' malley's bitch, would do anything for his students except let them get away with slacking. luke merryweather: [ben whishaw] twenty-nine, until recently the hogwarts charms professor, now a tutor for pre-hogwarts children and living with his girlfriend gavriella spencer, who is expecting their baby in september. loyal, affectionate, and led by his heart not his head. tessa marquise: [rachel mcadams] twenty-seven, straight-up bitch, hates everyone except her cousin evianna wickham, has more enemies than hairs on her gorgeous head and likes one-night stands and a good fight. works on the administrative board at st mungo's. chris martinsson: [jeremy renner] twenty-five, goes by his surname to avoid confusion with one of his two best mates, chris edgington. he's an unspeakable so he can't tell you what he does or he'd have to kill you. when not out of the country on missions, he spends most of his time either sleeping or hanging out with his two best friends and playing dance dance revolution. xander hawkley: [zac efron] professional quidditch player, twenty-four, ex-gryffindor, best friends with jethro hunter, chases anything in a skirt, witty and cocky and very proud to be a teen heartthrob. currently in the dog-house due to a misunderstand with jethro's cousin muirin anglesey. aria matthews: [kaya scodelario] ex-gryffindor, nineteen, disapproves of exerting herself in any way, dating and head over heels for cris vega. she's recently lost her older brother, her only remaining family, in a car crash, and is currently picking up the pieces of her life after six months spent practically comatose with grief. sam stanley: [louis tomlinson] eighteen, recently graduated from gryffindor, currently working in a coffee shop and nightclub to pay the rent for his flat. he's easy-going, cheerful, loves to laugh and have a good time, and is probably the only person on the planet who can get away with calling his intimidating older sister suzanne by the nickname suzie. lysander scamander: [dave franco] ravenclaw seventh year, seventeen, shy and retiring and terrified of gryffindors and slytherins and girls, pretends he doesn't read romance novels in the bath. has surprisingly boisterous female friends such as dominique weasley, and spends most of his life either scoring phenomenal marks in care of magical creatures or avoiding doing any work in any of his other subjects. molly weasley ii: [tamsin egerton] hufflepuff seventh year, seventeen, uber-slut, has slept with probably more than half the guys at hogwarts her age and upwards - and she's very proud of that. blonde in every sense of the word, but upbeat, flirtatious, and always ready to have a good time, molly's not the most sensible girl on the planet but she's a guaranteed laugh. laetatia anglesey: [emilia clarke] slytherin seventh year, seventeen, sweet and incredibly shy with a frankly astounding mothering instinct. she's very dyslexic and as a result spends ninety percent of her time outside lessons either being tutored or holed up in her dorm struggling with homework and revision. chloe nott: [candice accola] gryffindor seventh year, sixteen, hapless and blonde and cheerful, always in a good mood, unperturbed by teasing, talks far too much and always loses her wand. currently extremely down-in-the-dumps after her boyfriend of eighteen months, camden phillips, broke up with her. julian sørensen: [vladimir ivanov] slytherin sixth year, pureblood and conscious of it, almost too cool to function. hates pretty much every other human being on the planet, avoids company wherever possible, and far prefers reading to any other activity. experiences periods of crippling boredom which he alleviates by getting high, at which point he becomes practically extroverted and almost a whole new person. lo beckwith: [elle fanning] hufflepuff sixth year, sixteen. her name is a shortened form of leonora since she considers that far too pretentious to cope with on a daily basis. has four older brothers so knows how to deal with boys, scary when she wants to be, a tomboy to her dying days. will be friends with anybody whether they want to be or not. gloria rodriguez: [sofia black d'elia] gryffindor fifth year who prefers to go by flick, a shortening of her middle name, felicita. the proud younger sister of rosa rodriguez, flick is cheeky, loves to play pranks, has a slight superiority complex, and would really like to be a fashion designer when she gets older. lara archer: [sophie turner] thirteen, slytherin fourth year. currently living with her mother, whom she adores, and her stepfather, whom she despises, in her stepfather's rather large and lovely house. she internalises everything, never shows an emotion on her face if she can help it, doesn't really know how to interact with children her age so has no friends, and is currently attempting to deal with both of her brothers moving out and abandoning her.
likes... i like white chocolate kit-kats, good grammar, my friends both online and in real life, tumblr, having smoothy-smooth shaved legs although i'm far too lazy to shave them regularly, the poetry of w.b. yeats, long lie-ins, lazy winter evenings by the fire, rainy tuesday mornings, any book by vladimir nabokov (but especially pale fire and ada, or ardor), salinger's books about the glass family, tom hiddleston, sansa stark from game of thrones, having proper deep conversations about anything from sansa stark to loki laufeyson to life outside earth to what russia must have been like when the tsars were still in power. i also like books and films that are driven by the characters and my favourite thing is when you get the feeling the characters ran away from the author and all the author could do was chase after them writing down their antics. plus i like the tv shows outnumbered, pretty little liars, doctor who, merlin, jekyll, sherlock, the vampire diaries, wallander, and i rather enjoyed the hollow crown series but admittedly only because of tom hiddleston. i like pretty much all films apart from clash of the titans but i guess my special favourites are the lion king and midnight in paris because the atmosphere in that last one, oh my heart. don't even get me started on books but let it just be known that the chaos walking trilogy by patrick ness changed my life, and i would sell my soul in order to meet vladimir nabokov and hug him for the gift of his writing. also i like kristen stewart and robert pattinson and anybody who has a problem with that can gtfo.
dislikes... i dislike really hot weather, exerting myself in any way, early mornings (although there is something about being up before anybody else is when you feel like you're the only one alive), wednesdays, rudeness, poor table manners, when people sing to themselves all the time, ship wars, real-person shipping, arthur/gwen, fans who make the whole fandom really shit, overused jokes, when people interrupt me in the middle of reading, losing, not having time to myself, schoolwork in any form, being left out, being ignored, when people hate on characters they know nothing about or celebrities just because everyone else does. i really dislike people who try too hard to be "alternative", too. i just feel like i should be allowed to like whatever i like without being judged in any way. it's not really an especially complicated concept: i like the things i like, you like the things that you like, we might not like the same things but that's okay.
to begin with you should know that despite being an admin i am probably the worst person in the world at remembering to reply to my threads. i am hopelessly forgetful and disorganised which, combined with my almost terminal laziness, does not do wonders for my proclivity at replying to threads. if you do end up threading with me, you are more than welcome to poke me at eight-hourly intervals to reply because eventually my guilt will become so overwhelming that i'll actually go and do it. right, apart from that, what is there to know about me? well, i definitely tend towards the pretentious on occasion, for which i apologise in advance, although i never mean to do it. becca thinks i'm too posh for anyone's good but i think she's wrong. my memory is frankly appalling and i often need to be told two or three times what i'm supposed to be doing or i'll just clean out forget. on the positive side, i like to think i'm quite open-minded and i'm rarely obnoxious if someone has an opinion i disagree with unless it's offensive. i'd say i was friendly but apparently that's a lie, most people tend to find me scary although i haven't worked out why yet. i am completely fascinated by the complexity of character and i want to be a writer one day just so i can write tonnes and tonnes about all sorts of different characters and try to work out how their minds tick. eventually i'd like to write films, but i'm not sure that will ever happen. i'm going to durham university to study archaeology next year and i'm torn between nerves and excitement. i get indescribably emotional over the fictional characters sansa stark, loki laufeyson, and lily luna potter; as well as the works of vladimir nabokov, j.d. salinger, and patrick ness. paris is my favourite city in the world and i had the luck to live there for seven months earlier this year. i have travelled quite widely, and have only four places left on my list of places i want to see before i die: st petersburg, russia; venice, italy; montana, usa; and prague, the czech republic. my life's ambitions include publishing a book, marrying someone rich, writing a film which is later directed by david fincher/kenneth branagh, meeting liam neeson, and giving prince phillip a hug because i think he'd really enjoy it.

TWENTY.TWO | BRITISH | OPTIMISTICEmily Marsdon: 23, Care of Magical Creatures Professor. New to teaching and having trouble remembering not to swear in front of students or laugh when they misbehave. Ex-trouble-maker, extremely liberal-minded, likes to have fun and travel the world. Currently engaged to Digger Powell.
Angelina Johnson-Weasley: 45, co-owner of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. Married to George Weasley, although their marriage isn't without problems, mother of Fred and Roxanne. Strong-minded and determined, with a hot temper and high morals, and a bit of a feminist. Loves her family, and hates being inactive and helpless.
Dennis Creevey: 40, Auror, happily married to Kathleen Creevey, father of Lachlan, Ella and baby Robbie. A tad excitable, sometimes finds it hard to concentrate, has a tendency to get wild enthusiasms for things, and suffers from chronic insomnia. However, is very focussed on his work, and sometimes struggles to balance work and home life, although he loves his family.
Jethro Hunter: 25, Department for Magical Law Enforcement. A fun-loving ex-Gryffindor with the gift of the gab and a love of flirting. Hides a tragic past behind a laughing face. Trying to protect his mother, solve the mystery of his father's murder, and find a missing child. Dating Saoirse Flynn.
Suzanne Stanley: 21, part owner and co-editor of the Grub Street Herald, a satirical magazine, ex-Slytherin. Hard-headed but essentially warm-hearted, a born rebel and questioner of the system, likes hard liquor, sarcasm and a good argument.
Jake Gullane: 19, unemployed, ex-Ravenclaw. Muggle born, dropped out of school after Fifth Year, just served a year in Azkaban for theft and forgery, has a two-year-old child. Easygoing, sharp-minded and adaptable, with an excellent memory and a talent for making realistic forgeries. Takes life as it comes.
Angus Wood: 18, recent graduate of Hufflepuff House, currently drifting about and wanting to train as a chef. An all-round nice guy, slightly camp but not actually gay, good at listening, giving hugs and cooking. Tends to fall head over heels for totally inappropriate girls.
Scorpius Malfoy: 17, Seventh Year Slytherin student and Quidditch Captain. Hides his emotions behind a cool, sarcastic front, dislikes those who make assumptions about him, will do anything to protect his siblings, prefers to keep things private and drinks to keep the depression at bay. Disgustingly loved up with Roxanne Weasley, and has recently left home and moved in with his cousin, Teddy Lupin.
Jocasta Kirke: 17, Seventh Year Gryffindor student. A quiet dreamer with a good sense of fun once you get to know her. Likes not wearing shoes, and being outdoors. The daughter of a pureblood squib and a muggle, she spent her early years in the Muggle world before moving back to her grandparents' pacifist wizarding commune after her older sister's death and her parents' divorce. Rarely sees her father but loves the rest of her family, although she questions some of their values.
Louis Weasley: 16, Sixth Year Hufflepuff Student, the worst prefect in the world. Hates to hurt people, forgives easily, can't say no to anything, loves practical jokes, breaking rules and Muggle gadgets. Currently coming out as bisexual.
Lily Potter: 15, Fifth Year Ravenclaw student and prefect. A shy, quiet little bookworm who is intimidated by loud people until she gets to know them and doesn't have a clue about fashion. Likes to stay in her comfort zone, acts younger than her age a lot of the time but is actually both intelligent and mature, can't keep secrets, never been kissed.
Addison Yates: 15, Fifth Year Gryffindor student. Hippy flower child with a love of good music, vintage stuff and festivals. Likes to have fun but stay classy. Generally friendly and bubbly, but with a thoughtful, philosophical side, and a bit of a violent temper. Acts as her selectively mute sister's protector and translator.
Becky Dashwood: 13, Fourth Year Slytherin student. A spoilt little princess trying to be more grown up than she is. Gets carried away by situations and can be spiteful and cruel, but usually regrets it afterwards. However, those she really dislikes had better watch their backs. Her safe little world is currently crumbling after the discovery that her father is having an affair with Elsie James.
Madeleine Ashcroft: 13, Third Year Ravenclaw student. An explorer, investigator and experimenter. Sharp as glass, quick on the uptake and loves to learn, but a bit of a madcap, doesn't care much for rules and stands up for what she believes. A passionate defender of the merits of the non-magical world (don't call them Muggles in front of her) and fascinated by people, the world, and everything in it.
I like...
writing stories, telling stories, prancing around on stage, prancing around backstage, scribbling in sketch pads, splashing with paint, experimenting with cameras, travelling across continents, trying to sing, Italy, coffee, bright colours, junk shops, parties, the sea.
I don't like...
intolerance, injustice, big cities, job applications, historical inaccuracy, any other kind of inaccuracy, early mornings, theme parks, losing my muse, sad endings, high heels, arbitrary rules, misplaced patriotism, package holidays.
I come from the UK, home of Harry Potter, and grew up on the border between England and Scotland. I'm a bit of a Brit-nazi, which does not mean that I'm a member of the British National Party, but rather that I will call you out if your British character talks like an American/Australian/whatever. I mean it in the nicest possible way. I also love good characterisation, and hate inaccuracy, and believe that there is no excuse for inadequate research into making a character/situation realistic; if you don't know enough to write it properly and are too lazy to find out, don't write it at all. Those are basically the only things I'm intolerent of, aside from other people's intolerence. I'm a good person to come to if you have a problem or need a sympathetic ear, or alternatively if you want to talk about feminism, social justice, or Medieval history.
I graduated from university with a useless degree in history about two years ago, and I currently live on an island off the north-west coast of Scotland, and partially run a small independent children's charity, which is fascinating, fun, difficult and stressful all at the same time. I rent my own little flat in a very small town, and really want a dog or a cat to keep me company. I like living on my own; it's restful, there's nobody to make a fuss if you don't do the washing up, and it doesn't matter if you forget to take a towel into the bathroom with you when you go and shower.
I like books much better than television (in fact, I don't have a television because I couldn't be bothered to pay the license) and I am currently working my way through A Song of Ice and Fire. I enjoy the songs/poetry of Saul Williams, Leonard Cohen and Joan Baez and my life ambition is to write historical novels, although this is a lot of work, so I'll probably end up writing fantasy if I write anything at all.
I can usually be found talking nonsense in the chat box and coming up with random plots. Riss calls me a sadist for my plots, but she's lying. song the dog days are over by florence + the machine

TWENTY | AMERICAN | BOOK.WORM Nellie McGonagall: Forty-something ex-Hufflepuff (now Head of Hufflepuff) with a heart of gold and the deviousness of a fifteen year old. She's lived a tough life, surviving her parents death, a child born out of violence, and having an unstable 'inner-eye'. She's currently shagging the hell out of a certain potions master, and considering job relocation. She hates confrontation, and does anything to avoid being stationary too long. Her Aunt is former headmistress Minerva McGonagall, and unlike her aunt, she's a lot more playful. Don't cross her, though. She might now like confrontation, but she will not back down.
Roxanne Weasley: Fifteen. Ravenclaw. Weasley. What's it like being in a sea of Weasleys? Hectic. Everywhere you turn, there is one. But Roxanne doesn't mind, all the time. Sometimes she considers offing a few of them, but for the most part she loves them all. She's currently in a relationship with Scorpius Malfoy, and falling harder--and faster--than she'd like; she can't stop, though. She's a girl with her head in the clouds, and her feet on the ground. Her neurotic, over bearing, strive to be the best, tendencies have slowed since dating Scorpius, but don't let that fool you. Roxanne is a worrier, she will forever worry about everything.
Damien Malfoy: Fourteen. Slytherin. Taken by Aggy Bass. The middle of the Malfoy children, Dao feels like he's always looked over. He doesn't gain the recognition of either of his parents and feels like he is always being shunned in favor of his brother. His grandmother, girlfriend, and best-friends (Lo Beckwith, Devyn Oberlin, and Louis Weasley), are what keeps him sane. Lo makes sure his feet are on the ground, Devyn keeps him on his toes, and Lou is is swing man.
Maria Munroe: Eleven. Gyffindor. Spunky. A former foster child, Maria lived through an abusive host family. She's a muggleborn, and therefore raised in a muggle orphanage after her mother left her in a train station. After showing signs of magic early on, the family she was living with, highly religious bible thumpers, abused her for being 'the work of the devil'. Maria had trust issues after this and found it hard to let anyone in. Amelia Munroe, a half blood who had stumbled upon Maria accidentally, found her way into the little girl's barriers, and adopted her. She doesn't get along well with other kids, but loves her bestfriend Maddy.
Mark Dashwood: Forty three. Healer. Married and has a girlfriend. (I'm fighting back the urge to repeat Young Dro lyrics here). Poor Mark really is a wonderful guy. He's just in a bad place right now. He's in love with one school healer, but alas, he's married. He doesn't hate Kate, nor want to break her heart, but he isn't in love with her any longer. He only stays with her for the children and the shear fear of what she would do to herself or to the children if he did leave. His heart beats for Elsie, though.
Hermione Granger: Coming Soon!
Cris Vega: Coming Soon!
Roland Thomas: Coming Soon!

You already know my name, but just in case you forget: read the kick-ass header Nanii made me! Do not call me Risseroni either. Now, let's get down to business. . .(to defeat the huns--Mulan). I'm a very lax person, cept' when it comes to my studies. I work hard in everything I do and I don't give anything ever than the best. I shy away from confrontation, but do NOT underestimate me. Nanii and Ellie may be competing for toughest Admin, but I can get mean when need be. I'm not afraid to correct you if you're wrong and I won't hesitate to challenge a statement you've made. In the words of the best Prof I've ever had, 'Prove-it!'
Now, for the lighter stuff. I'm all over the place, honestly. I barely know which way is up. I'm barely ever on time, my shoes are never tied, and I forget--EVERYTHING. I try to be a nice person all the time, and hopefully I succeed in that. I'm the type of girl who can't believe she's twenty years old, who feels like she's still thirteen, who will randomly bust out into song whenever I feel the need. I dance in the grocery stores to the over head music, I sing in my car like a lunatic, and I make fun of the monsters in scary movies.
My musical tastes are ecclectic, to say the least. My tastes stem from Prince to Johnny Cash; from Madonna to Lil Wayne; from Barbara Streisand to Tupac. My current obsession is Adele. Soul music is my favourite, though. Especially Bluesy soul with a rock infusion. I love literature with a passion, and hope one day to write the next great novel. I plan on traveling the world to teach English, then head off to Law School.
Basically, I'm an all around whack job; but don't worry: I've never killed anyone. [/size] song hey soul sister by train[/center]
