Personality [IC]
LIKES:[/b] Music, singing, autumn, fires, walking in the countryside, her family, romance, crying in the middle but smiling by the end, zombie movies, laughing til her stomach hurts, being silly, animals, babies, talking, chunky knits, bright colours, anything Celtic, junk shops and flea markets.
DISLIKES:[/b]Cold people, things going wrong or not happening the way she wants them to happen, people being mean to her friends and family, being left out, being forced into ‘pretty’ clothes, high heels, flying, boring beach holidays, animal cruelty, feeling stupid.
BAD HABITS:[/b]Being untidy, falling asleep at unfortunate moments (like in the middle of lessons), eating too much, getting hungry in the middle of the night, talking too much, throwing mini-tantrums, trying to tag along with her older brother and his friends, gossiping.
GOOD HABITS:[/b] Studying hard, taking care of people/things, laughing a lot, trying to help people, giving hugs.
STRENGTHS:[/b] She is a good singer and musician, who is a natural performer. She is one of life’s nurturers, and is extremely loyal. She is very determined and will follow things through to the end. She works hard academically, but also has a good sense of humour. She is good at knowing what’s going on, and also at making people feel better.
WEAKNESSES:[/b] She can be a bit immature, even spoilt. Although she works hard, she is not naturally clever and only does averagely well in school. She doesn’t cope well if things don’t go well for her, and she can’t resist nice food. She is a sucker for a sob story, and is easily taken in.
PERSONALITY:[/b] Allie is lively, bubbly and kind-hearted, but at the same time extremely stubborn and sometimes unrealistically idealistic. She tends to get very fixed ideas of how things should be, and then doesn’t cope well if they don’t work out that way. She is somewhat immature, being very much a child at heart, and the sort of person who will probably always stay one. She has been a little spoilt – not in a material sense, but in an emotional sense, and this means that she is emotionally immature. She wants things to be just right, and hates having to rethink her ideas. She tends to have quite extreme emotions – her frustration can bubble over easily into angry outbursts, although she rarely keeps them up for long. What she can keep up is a sulk – if something continues to go badly, she will continue to be bad-tempered about it.
At the other end of the spectrum, she can be fairly hyperactive. She gets quite ‘silly’ when she’s happy, and likes having friends who will also be silly, and will join in with her giggling fits and crazy games and endless chatter. In between, is a whole range of other emotions. She cries easily at sad things, but laughs equally easily at funny ones, and is perfectly capable of doing them both at the same time. She is extremely kind-hearted and hates to see anyone or anything suffering. She is a collector of waifs and strays, from injured animals (her pet jackdaw was rescued after breaking its wing) to friendless 1st Years. As a result, she can be quite easily taken advantage of, because if she feels sorry for someone, she will be nice to them, regardless of anything else.
She is something of a romantic idealist, in every sense of the words. She loves a good love story, and fancies herself as a matchmaker, even though she’s not really interested in it for herself. However, this is another of those instances when real life doesn’t always quite follow what she thinks is the way it should, and she can get quite cross if people don’t end up with the people she thinks they should. She also tends to romanticise life slightly, and be disappointed when it doesn’t match up.
She likes clothes and colours and making outfits, but she’s not a very girly girl. She’s not into top fashion, and likes chunky knits and scarves and stripes and colourful tights and sturdy boots and big jewellery, and hates to be made to dress elegantly. She prefers winter to summer, partly because she likes winter clothes better, although autumn is her favourite season, and Bonfire Night her favourite part of it. She loves anything secondhand – junk shops, antiques, charity shops, flea markets, car boot stalls, vintage markets – whatever type, whatever you call them, Allie will spend hours browsing them and looking for bargains. It’s the only kind of shopping she really likes, except Christmas shopping.
She is a hard worker in general, although not the best academically – she works hard to keep up average grades. She’s not too bothered by that most of the time, since she doesn’t want a very academic career, but sometimes she feels discouraged when she puts her everything into an essay, and still only gets an A. Her general knowledge isn’t that great either, and compared to some of the others in her year, she occasionally feels stupid, and gets worried that people are laughing at her.
She loves to sing and perform – she plays the violin as well as singing, and although she listens to all sorts of music, including plenty of modern popular stuff, what she plays and sings is folk music – mostly Celtic, although she also likes delving into Spanish folk music, because she loves her Spanish roots. However, she adores all things Celtic. She always wears a Celtic pendant, and longs for Irish blood. She knows that folk music isn’t the ‘coolest’ thing to be into, but she doesn’t really care about being cool – she’s happy being her.

Memories [IC]
BOGGART:[/b] Losing her family.
DEMENTOR:[/b] The day she was in a Muggle Department Store, and got on an escalator by herself. She completely panicked, and ended up falling down it, and having to be taken to hospital, but what she mainly remembers is the humiliation of the incident, because everyone knew how to use it except her. She’s been slightly scared of heights every since.
PATRONUS:[/b] A family holiday to Bournemouth when she was about four, and she discovered the donkey rides on the beach. Allie would quite happily have spent all day bouncing up and down the beach on those donkeys, but unfortunately her family wanted to do other things.
MIRROR OF ERISED:[/b] To be a professional folk singer.
VERITASERUM:[/b] 1. She is jealous of Cris’ friends, because she wants to be his best friend.
2. Cris is her best friend, no matter how many other friends she has.
3. Although she is mostly happy and bubbly, sometimes there are times when she feels so lonely and sad that it frightens her, and there’s never any reason for it. She tends to hide away when that happens, so nobody sees.
AMORTENTIA:[/b] Autumn leaves, woodsmoke and cinnamon.

OTHER IMPORTANT FAMILY:[/b]

Grandfathers:Antonio Vega (Paternal); David Camden (Maternal)
Grandmothers:Carlotta Vega (Maternal); Elizabeth Camden (Maternal
HISTORY:[/b] See Cris Vega’s application for their parents’ history.
Allie was born into a kind and loving family. Her parents and brother adored her and she had all the love and attention she could possibly have wanted. Like her brother, she was given a thorough introduction to the arts by their mother, although she proved less capable than him when it came to literature and history. She likes painting and drawing, but has never taken it very seriously – the only thing she does take seriously is her singing. She also plays several instruments, but the violin is her favourite, because it is easily combinable with her favourite folk music.
She was distraught when her brother left for Hogwarts without her, because she adored him, and cried every night for a week. She continued to cry the night after he left, every year that he was there and she wasn’t. However, she loved his stories from Hogwarts, and wanted to know all about the friends he made there. She has always had a tendency to try and adopt his friends as hers, and would tag after him whenever he brought a friend home.
Left alone at home, Allie began to find her own interests. She started her habit of collecting animals with her tortoise, which she found suffering in a tiny cage in a pet shop. The next thing she knew, she had practised accidental magic, and the thing was under her coat. She took it home and kept it secret from her parents for several weeks. When they finally found it, they didn’t have the heart to make her take it back.
As her brother’s relationship with their father deteriorated, Allie’s actually became stronger. Her life was slightly less taken up with the arts than Cris’ – singing was really her only big thing – and perhaps there was part of their father that found that sort of thing more acceptable in a girl than a boy. Anyway, Allie had always been the apple of her father’s eye, and that continues to this day, although she hasn’t actually told him that she’d like to be a professional folk musician. Her relationship with her mother is also good, although she feels that Cris is their mother’s favourite.
She was excited to attend Hogwarts with Cris, although her expectations of hanging out with him and his friends were swiftly crushed. However, she found her own friends and was happy, although she still misses him this year, now that he’s not here.
