PERSONALITY: Lucius Malfoy is a generally arrogant, ambitious, and cunning individual, thus proving him to possess most of the qualities of Slytherin house. His obsession with a “pure” family bloodline and need to have a high social standing has gotten the better of him in the past and still tend to be weaknesses for him. Though he can be extremely ruthless in regards to his beliefs on Muggles, Muggleborns, half-bloods, blood traitors and those who are of lower class, there’s another side to him that most outsiders rarely see - the one that does have the ability to care and stay loyal to the people that he truly loves, which includes his wife, son, and grandchildren. His wife has been a constant support for him over the years, and he still loves her infinitely and cherishes her company. He's also proud of the family that his son has brought up, and although he doesn't exactly approve of his Draco's job as a Ministry official, he does think that it's a good step in further rectifying the Malfoy family name, which was and still is quite a deep obsession for Lucius, especially in the first few years after the second Wizarding war when fingers were still being pointed towards his family.

HISTORY: Lucius was born into a high class, Pureblood family with elite tendencies, in which he first learned of the concepts of “pure” and “dirty” blood and what it meant to be superior. Since then, he’s known nothing else, because the beliefs drilled into him by his father are the ones he still holds today. He sometimes wants to blame his harsh treatment of his own son in Draco’s earlier years on the fact that his father, Abraxas, also used to mistreat him and put him down constantly when he was a young adult.
He befriended Severus Snape during his Hogwarts years, and sometime after graduating, married Narcissa Black. Their son, Draco Malfoy, was born on June 5th, 1980. He eventually became a Death Eater, but after the fall of Lord Voldemort, he insisted that all his actions could be accounted on the fact that he was under the influence of the Imperius curse.
After the second Wizarding war, he realized that his life would finally be taking a better turn, and he settled down with Narcissa and Draco. He was extremely pleased when Draco married a pureblood witch, and even more joyous for him was when his first grandchild, Scorpius Malfoy, was born. He wouldn’t change any of the quiet, peaceful years that he has spent with his wife at Malfoy Manor for anything, even though he still shows signs of interest in the Dark Arts and doesn’t attempt to hide this fact, although he knows there’s not much that can be done about this in present times.
