Personality
DISLIKES: Fires, winter, chocolate, people who annoy her, people who upset her, people who insult her family, bad hair days, not getting her way, being told off, alcohol, being told she's 'too young' for anything, humiliation.
LIKES: Clothes, fashion, make-up, getting her way, being the centre of attention, dancing, music, drawing things, athletics, running, animals, pretty things, peanut-butter, her family and friends.
BAD HABITS: Sucks her thumb (she hates that she can't stop), tends to hold grudges, tends to make spiteful remarks and not think about other people's feelings, doodles absent-mindedly on everything.
GOOD HABITS: Laughs a lot, gives physical affection spontaneously, likes to give people random gifts.
WEAKNESSES: She is somewhat spiteful and shallow, and extremely immature underneath a veneer of sophistication.
STRENGTHS: She is a good artist and quite good at sport, and is quite clever - nothing outstanding academically, but ordinarily bright. She's affectionate and warm and loving when she's not being spiteful. She's also happy and self-confident.
PERSONALITY: It is a truth universally acknowledged that anyone by the name of Rebecca in literature has to be a bitch. (Think Vanity Fair and Du Maurier's Rebecca, and ignore Ivanhoe and Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm for now.)
Rebecca (or Becky) Dashwood likes to be a queen bee. She is pretty, popular and witty and enjoys being the centre of attention. She loves to have fun, and is usually laughing and smiling. However, that fun is quite often at the expense of other people, and she can be both cruel and spiteful. This is not the real Rebecca, however. Underneath, there is a warm, loving, affectionate little girl, but although she pretends to be sophisticated, she is actually quite immature, and gets carried away by being pretty, popular and witty, and as a result, often doesn't think about how other people are feeling. If somebody she respects sits her down and points out gently how her behaviour is making other people feel, she will be genuinely sorry and want to say sorry and make it up to them.
However, if she actually has a reason (other than that they are not quite as pretty, popular or witty as her) to dislike somebody, or if someone makes her angry, she is utterly ruthless.
She is a little girl trying to be a grown-up. She wants to grow up as fast as possible, and loves to dress up and put make-up on. She rather fancies herself as a future femme fatale, and will take any chance she can get to practice her seduction/flirtation skills, so long as the boy in question is at least a year older than her. She thinks a lot about clothes and appearance, and she also likes to be physically active, and has a hard time sitting still for long periods of time. As a result, she likes activities such as dancing and running. Her other hobby is drawing, although she generally draws things like ponies and flowers. She tends to do this a lot, all over everything, including her school work.
She's not afraid to use charm to get her way, and to wriggle out of trouble. She's perfected the 'innocent little girl' look, as well as the 'proud little princess' and the 'puppy-dog eyes.' She hates being told 'no' and will do everything within her means to get her way.
She appears extremely self-confident, and she is, but it's a very precarious self-confidence.

HISTORY:
Becky's self-confidence is built on the fact that nothing has ever gone majorly wrong in her life so far.
She grew up in a happy, stable family. She adores her parents, and is in turn adored by them, especially her father, who is wrapped tightly around her little finger. He tends to spoil her, while her mother is stricter with her. As a result, she gets on better with her father, but has more respect for her mother. However generally, she is very close to both of them. She treats her older brother with an affectionate condescension, because he's a boy, so naturally inferior in intelligence, but she loves him really.
She has always been her father's little princess, and has been slightly spoilt as a result. As a little girl, she would have tantrums if she didn't get her way, although most of the time she was a sunny little thing. She realised she was pretty early in life and has been making the most of it ever since. She's grown out of the tantrums, although she still gets angry inside when she is thwarted.
She has grown up in a bit of a happy bubble. They have a nice house and plenty of money, they go on holidays to nice places every year, and she has lots of pretty things. She has no idea of the cracks in her parents' marriage, and believes that they are a perfect family unit.
