Personality: Saoirse wants to become an auror. She's ambitious, talented and athletic. She won a scholarship to the prestigious auror academy, but had to defer her place, as, to put it plainly, she was broke, and the scholarship only covered her course fees, not her accomodation. She's working in the bar to save up enough money to pay for her accomodation, so that she can achieve her dream. She's horrifically clumsy, and can trip over a flat surface, meaning she often coats the customers in beer. At present, she doesn't have much of a social life: she hates scrounging off people and all her money is either spent on necessities (ie. rent) or goes straight into her savings, however, she is generally extroverted, not introverted.

Background: Saoirse's father, who was a wizard, abandoned her and her mother. He was actually murdered by a Death Eater seeking revenge after the First Wizarding War, but Saoirse doesn't know that. Her mother, who was a muggle, died when Saoirse was six, meaning Saoirse's magical abilities had not yet started to show themselves. As Saoirse's father had never revealed that he was a wizard to her mother in their short marriage, Saoirse's mother never knew Saoirse was a witch, and it came as a sharp surprise to Saoirse's great-aunt Bridget, who is a devout Catholic. Bridget was very open-minded and accepting however, and supported Saoirse as much as she could, although they were always tight for money. Saoirse excelled at school, particularly in Defence Against the Dark Arts, Charms and Transfiguration, which was why she was recommended for the auror academy scholarship. She's been working in The Three Broomsticks ever since she left school, taking over the bar-work from the ubiquitious Madame Rosmerta, although she still owns the pub. Her position in the pub generally means she knows everything that's going on!
