[/font][/center]FATHER: Clive Abbott, age 68; killed by Death Eater supporters at age 44. Ex-Hufflepuff. Hannah loved her father dearly, though after his wife's death he retreated into himself and went a little crazy. On the night he was killed, he had finally regained a bit of his former self and was writing a letter to Hannah when the back door burst open, revealing two Death Eaters who wanted to kidnap him in order to force Hannah (and through Hannah, some of the DA, including Neville) to stop rebelling. He fought against them as much as he could, not being in his right mind and all, but they eventually gave up on trying to kidnap him and killed him instead.
MOTHER: Abigail Abbott (nee White), 67. Died aged 42. Ex-Ravenclaw. Abigail was also very close to her daughter; an avid gardener, she passed her love of plants to Hannah. Abigail was also very spiritual, and wore a necklace of talismans to protect her from harm. She was killed by Death Eaters when she was out gathering mushrooms, because she was a Muggleborn. She was found in the forest by two explorers, and buried under a blank headstone. The Ministry discovered her death two months after she was killed, after a Ministry employee overheard the two explorers asking questions about the woman they had found dead.
CHILDREN: Grace Longbottom, 16, Hufflepuff. Grace is a dancer.

HISTORY:
Hannah first exhibited signs of magic when she was 7, perfectly average, as she is and strives to be. Ever since then, she was excited to go to Hogwarts, and be sorted in Hufflepuff, which she was. She had her first ever crush on Remus Lupin when she was thirteen, and went to the Yule Ball with Ernie MacMillian. They continued dating after that, but broke up in her fifth year, shortly after joining the DA. The DA was something that really changed Hannah - it gave her a little self-confidence, though she will never be fully confident in herself, though she hides it well. She was devastated when the DA wasn't continued in her sixth year, because besides learning to protect herself, the DA meetings were an opportunity to make friends and talk to people from other houses, and she felt special, being included in such a group; so in her seventh year she was secretly, selfishly glad that there was a need for the DA to be brought back.
In her seventh year, she started dating Neville, though at first it was simply because he would be able to protect her, and frankly she was flattered that he had picked her to go out with. On one of their dates, held in the Room of Requirement since all those who were suspected to be in the DA were banned from Hogsmeade, she realised she actually liked him for him. Neville taught her how to be brave. The Battle was incredibly scary, but she was determined to participate; this time she was the protector, not the protected. She spent much of the battle protected the underage kids who had snuck back in to the castle.
When Tom decided to sell the Leaky Cauldron, she jumped at the chance to buy it - she'd always loved the place, and she could make it homey and do what she did best - make friends with people. Having her children and marrying Neville were the best moments of her life. She remains very close to Ernie and Susan MacMillian.
