PERSONALITY: George is a prankster to boot, his reputation going well before him. But he also takes care to see that his pranks don’t injure anyone severely. After the war, he had a period of darkness, getting out of it only after he met Angelina.
He loves his family and dotes on all his nephews and nieces, sneaking them joke products whenever he can. His mother, though she still doesn’t approve of his ‘unchanged’ ways, accepts that he will always be a jokester. His father had always supported him, if indirectly, and his introduction of Muggle joke products in the shop made George his most favored son.
With his siblings and their family, he gets along very well except Percy, with whom he still has a few disagreements, but they are only minor. The only person he can’t seem to relate to seems to be his daughter, but he tries his best not to let that hinder him.
Though he still misses his twin, he tries not to let that get in the way of his life because he believes Fred wouldn’t want him to stay grumpy. The war made him a bit less reckless and a bit more somber, and he often tries to act serious, causing a few laughs around him.

HISTORY: Fred and George, it had always been that way for as long as George could remember. He had liked to stay behind his bolder twin most of the time, though Fred had never recognized it. He had relied on Fred in almost an unhealthy fashion ever since they had been kids.
At school they quickly earned the title of pranksters with their funny pranks. George especially liked to roam the castle and was almost obsessed with the Marauders Map when they found it. They were also very talented at Quidditch and George took his game more seriously than his twin.
Behind their pranks, George tended to be the mind whereas Fred, being bolder, was the executioner. The same thing happened when George had a crush on Angelina, a fellow Gryffindor Quidditch player. George was never the bravest person and was terrified to ask Angelina out to the Yule Ball. Fred offered to do it for him since she never could tell them apart; George agreed after a lot of debating.
But when Fred was asking Angelina out, Ron appeared and called him out correctly; so Angelina thought Fred was asking her. So George went with Angelina as Fred, and that continued for the rest of their relationship. After they opened the WWW, things got darker and more hectic and George could hardly make time to go see Angelina.
When Fred was ripped apart from him during the war, George had no idea what to do; he stayed where he was for almost a week, refusing to react to anybody or listen to anyone. It took him almost a year to get back to normal work and even then, anyone could see that he was suffering.
He tended to hide himself in the experimentation section of the shop, driving himself so hard he got himself admitted in St Mungo’s several times. Molly, getting worried about George, sent Ron to work at the shop and look after him. Ron failed at it, not knowing what to do to make him better.
All that changed when Angelina visited the shop once and met George. He wasn’t healed fully, he never would be, but he understood that he was hurting people around him and himself by being this hopeless mess. Striving to make things up, he tried his best to return to normal after that, even going so far as to ask Angelina out on a mock date.
He knew she’d say yes, because he knew Angelina was still mourning Fred, and he was after all his twin and they looked alike. He knew Angelina saw him as Fred and not George, but he wanted to help her as much as she had helped him and just went with it without telling her the truth.
It was almost two years later that he discovered that he loved Angelina; a year later they married. To this day, he has never revealed the secret to Angelina or anyone else. At first it was because he did not want to burden Angelina anymore but later, he convinced himself that it did not matter, that it would only create a storm in his life; it was just beginning to quiet down.
When Roxanne learnt about the incident from someone else, he almost told the truth, but something held him back; he feels extremely guilty about dumping this on his kids sometimes, but tries not to let it show.
