I'm not sure when you sent that letter, but I've actually only just got it - I haven't been ignoring it, I promise! I don't know what's wrong with the owl you used (is it a school one?) but it never delivered it to me at school, and then I suppose it must have been near the end of term, so it had to find me here... It finally made it though, but I don't know how long it's taken - hopefully not weeks and weeks!

Anyway, I know, we haven't really hung out much recently - I'm sorry. I've just been busy with everything and I didn't know what was going on with you and Lucy and I thought it might be awkward for you and I don't know what happened really. Sorry I didn't get it when you were bored - you've probably got loads to do now it's the holidays. How was your Christmas? I'm a bit surprised there hasn't been a general gathering yet, Dad keeps talking about how we must see you all. I got loads of books so I'm basically just reading all the time at the moment. I have a Christmas present for you, but I wanted to wait until I saw you to give it to you.

What have you been up to all holidays? What happened with you and Lucy, or do you not want to talk about it or what?

Yeah, I sent a school owl. I figured it would flake out on me. I sent this nearly two weeks ago. I thought you were ignoring me. Thank Merlin, you're not!

Oh, it's okay. I'm sorry too. Hanging out is a two person thing and I guess I've been keeping to myself lately as well. Oh yeah, loads - homework. But I've actually gained some progress on that so yay for me. Christmas was tons of fun - even Alice and I managed to get along a bit and joked around for a while. I think Mum was about to bawl because of that milestone. Really? Maybe we'll come around on New Year's Day or the day after that. Oh you got me something too? I wanted to send it to you via owl but I thought you were ignoring me so I wasn't sure.

Oh, that. Well I royally messed up, long story short. We fell apart and she got angry with me and then we tried to get back but we realized that it was just not working out. We decided to split and remain friends, although we haven't really hung out since the break up.

They're supposed to be tall and handsome too, but we can ignore that bit. Actually though, thinking about it, it's unlucky if your first visitor's a woman with red hair, so Mum and I should probably stay at home...

But what happened? Or am I not meant to ask? I'm really sorry you guys didn't work out though. I guess things would always be awkward at first though, wouldn't they? Not that I'd know anything about it. I hope you can be friends again properly in the end though, I really do. I understand if you don't want to talk about it, but you know you can talk to me if you do want to, right? I mean, I know Lucy's my cousin, but you're my friend too... You didn't really talk to me about it at the time though, so maybe you'd rather not.
