guys, this is totally early, but i wanted to give a heads up just in case anything should happen earlier than planned...
i don't know if any of your have heard of hurricane sandy, but she's moving up the east coast of the united states and she's supposed to hit "most of the northeast" this weekend and into next week. on top of that, we're supposed to get our first nor'easter of the year (which is a really bad snowstorm, usually, since it occurs during winter most often) and i'm not sure if the hurricane is causing it or what. but, anyway. yeah, there's a 90% chance we're going to get hit pretty hard (it was only 60% on wednesday.)
so i may lose power. i'm not entirely too sure. connecticut is going to get hit the hardest, the weather people say... but i wanted to let everyone know just in case i disappear. again, it won't be for a few days, but you never know what'll happen with massive storms, so i figured early notice was better than late/no notice.
they're calling it the "frankenstorm", yay.

thanks, guys! so, as an update... • new york city has been evacuated. they were only supposed to get "damaging winds", but now they have flooding. it's already as high as some porches/stoops... =\ • army troops are already in the capital of new york state, getting ready for shit to go down • where i live, we should be hit within the next hour.. people are freaking out. nearly all of the stores are sold out of water - jugs, bottles, etc. nearly every place is out of flashlight and D-batteries. most schools have let out early (uni's included) and are already closing for at least tomorrow. please take a look at this image. the top is hurricane/tropical storm irene from last year and the bottom is hurricane sandy. quite a big difference, eh? =P

thanks, everyone! we got through it alright... some trees fell down in some parts of the city, but everyone seems to be safe. =] the wind is still crazy up where i live, though. except for other parts of the east coast... shark swimming through the streets of new jersey.
