Parents Day was something that Kate Dashwood had been looking forward to every since she and Mark had received the announcement via owl. She had always supported her children's education; however it was more lately because she sensed they knew something was going on between their Mum and Dad, and it would be terrible if their grades slipped because of it.
Kate was waiting outside of the Great Hall for Becky. Tours of the castle were given, but since Kate had graduated from Hogwarts, there wasn't any reason for her to go on a tour. So this break gave her some time to catch up with her daughter. She needed to catch up with Marko later, as well. Kate leaned against the stone wall, holding a small bag that contained a present (a new jumper and a new fashion scarf) for Becky and some photos of Prince as well. She watched other students and parents parade by her, some looking thrilled and others looking as if they might die due to boredom.
