i'm sure you all have experienced parents day before. around the world, it's probably called different things - parents day/night, open house night, parent/teacher conferences, etc. we've decided to bring that bit of the real world into our harry potter world. if you've never experienced something like this before, it's where your parents (or guardians) come to your school to meet your teachers. they chat, bring up any problems/concerns they may have and so on. we've evolved that a little bit to include a brunch and dinner, as well as Quidditch scrimmages - so it's a bit more interactive. also, we've decided to tie in the site-wide plot with this, so look out for posts from characters you're suspicious of. ;]
as isabella's letter states, this is compulsory for all parents/guardians. we don't expect you to roleplay all of your characters and their parents, but at least one set of them (if they have parents currently being played.) for characters who are lacking (taken) parental units OR who are muggleborn, the member of said character may roleplay them in a thread if they wish to.
now, onto the posting rules. obviously, this can't occur all in one day in real time. seeing as some of these threads may be important to subplots, we've decided to give quite a while to finish them. october 13th is the day of the event, but posting will begin on friday, october 12th and will go to monday, november 12th. that should give everyone enough time to finish threads. (and, if not, don't hesitate to ask an admin if a thread can be moved into the time turner board!)
that's all i can think of right now. to the admins: if you need to add anything, just edit my post. =] to the members: if you have any questions, please post them below! ;D
