Hey Teacup! How am I doing? I'm doing fucking awesome, thanks. We've got a concert in Hogsmeade pretty soon. You and all your hot legal friends should come along and watch. Bring that Molly chick. She's ace.
The Chocoballs are great though Charlie's trying to steal them all. She's such a bitch. I sent you some galleons along with the letter since I figured ma hasn't been able to lend you some lately - things are still pretty tight around the house, especially with Christmas coming up and all.
I miss you loads as well, squirt. How have you been? Busy with all that fashion stuff?

That's great! So exciting! I'm sure all of the students would love to go, actually. Can you not talk about my friends like that? I'll see if they'd like to go, but Shay is better friends with Molly.

I've been great. I haven't been too busy with the fashion stuff, but I've been doing some sketches and getting some ideas from the fall/winter ads that the stores have out now.

Yeah, but they're only letting the first 150 or so in and charging about 15 galleons per person. I'll tell them you and a couple of friends are allowed in free... well, invite whoever you like then. I don't care. Just so long as we can catch up.

Ouch. Charlie is so classy. Oh come on! That's not fair that I have to pick between you two! Poor Pat - he's sweet in his own ways. But, if it came down to spending a day with him or you, I would chose you.
Thanks! I'm pretty proud of them. I haven't been up to much else, actually. I haven't seem much of Vera, which is depressing. I fell asleep in History of Magic the other day. I wish I ha something more exciting to tell you. Sorry your sister leads a boring life.

Do you expect any less? It's fair! It's not like I'm going to go throw this letter in his face or anything. Pat's sweet in his own ways, sure, but sweet is overrated and he's not badass like me.
Which one's Vera again? Because I know Shay and Molly from your dorms because they're Thomas' and Weasleys' but there's a couple of other ones I don't know. Is Vera the McLaggen? You should get up to something much more exciting. Like blowing up a toilet.

That's true. There's going to be 6 of us going, by the way - I finally managed to get a head count! Everyone is really excited.
Pat'll be badass on day, just you wait and see. He's got to take after his older, cooler brother. Every guy wants to be you.
Vera isn't the McLaggen. Vera is a van der Heuval. She's my best friend, Tommy. Why would I blow up a toilet? That'll just make a mess of the girls room - where's the fun in that? But I think I have decided to do something more exciting, so don't worry!

It gets worse after a while because there's Finnigans ditching friends all over Hogwarts for new ones. Far out. By the time Pat graduates Hogwarts, I'll be nearly 30 and everybody knows that's ancient and by then I'll be even worse at remembering names.
You're leaving school? What the What the hell? Moira, you're in your seventh year. You don't even have that much more to go. Why the hell would you leave school right towards the end? You can focus on designing and studying. Jesus. Have you talked to ma and dad about this?

No, I haven't spoken to Ma or Dad about this. There's nothing to talk about. I'm a legal adult now - they can't stop me. And neither can you, Tommy. I told you because I thought you'd support me, but I guess I was wrong. It's none of your business why I'm leaving school or when. I just wanted you to know. Can you please try to be happy for me?

It was early in the holidays, before I stayed with you. It was an all-expense paid trip.
