[rs=2] | various items in the dorm, property of Nora Vasiey Picture of Vaisey Family The Vaisey family resided in the countryside since the end of the war, wanting to be far from the major areas inhabited by wizardry world, along with wanting to be away from other purebloods till the family have found their ground again. Richard Vaisey, the only son of the Vaisey line then, had participated in the war against Voldemort and Death Eaters. Although his family are not Death Eaters they still believed in the blood purity. Richard Vaisey likes to constantly remind his children that though they believe in blood purity, the family had not raised a finger against the wizardry world during the war, and by him choosing to side against Voldemort and his followers was like winning a game of cards by luck. Nora’s view on her father is he’s not a talkative man. That’s her first impression. He says what he says in minimum words and will make you think before you speak to him. Believe Nora when she says he gives you this silent look when you talk to him. Sometimes she would answer the question she asks without him saying anything. Though he's a great father to her and her brothers, he listens to them and allows them to grow, but with a tiny bit restriction. Born into the Parkinson family is not easy, Pansy can confirm that. Pansy is the only child and daughter. You can imagine what it was like for her (best example to give, think of how Draco and his parents). Her parents are strict pureblood types. No need to explain in more details, strict was enough. It doesn’t help being the only child. But as she grew older she learnt to do things her parents’ way and no other option. Pansy wasn’t beautiful or smart and did not feel like she can achieve anything since her parents never really her gave her praise in the things she would find interest in. Anything academically or in matters at logical thinking was the closest to get praise out of them. It affected her socially, but academically she was talent having become a perfect. The real reason she was mean and a bully is because of her upbringing and genuinely she would be jealous and dislike those she envied for the skills. Hermione Granger Weasley, she’s a muggleborn and smart for a witch, so Pansy envied her. Pansy Parkinson disappeared of the planet after the war and ended up working in the Department of Mysteries. No one has seen or heard of her all except Pansy’s parents. And she really believes people are still trying to get used to Pansy now she’s older and grown up. She’s less then who she as a girl and now has an air of confidence around her that she did not have before. Although she’s not beautiful, the confidence she has gained has gives off to other people that there is something pretty about her. Hope it make sense. Now ever more so, with having a daughter, Pansy is raising Nora differently than to what she grew up with. Nora’s and her mother have a special bond. It’s not because she’s the only girl. But after hearing her mother’s younger life and how differently she wanted it for her child. She is rather surprised that her mother doesn't want her own parents to meddle in her daughter and sons’ upbringing. Nora knows although her mother childhood had not been good, and giving her daughter a better childhood, Pansy still sticks to making sure Nora does good academically like her. Along with making sure she knows and understands her role as a pureblood female, Nora would have to marry a pureblood when she is ready, like Pansy had done with Richard. Two younger brothers for Nora at first was fun, then it was hell, now its just balanced since they're no longer kids. She used to dress up her brothers and played pretend with them, as the children got older Nora found herself playing more rough games with them in the country side. She does love her siblings, which is no surprise, and would do anything to catch up with them even if it's another one of those games she played with them as a girl. In short, Nora does not like her grandparents on her mother’s side, but she absolutely loves being around her grandparents on her father’s side. They’re just so different on each of the scale. But I suppose if her mother’s parents are slightly different then maybe she can grow to like them, maybe. At least they can be pleased she’d end up marrying a pureblood. Nora Vaisey (a magical candle that spells her name) This magical candle is a memorable one; it was given to her on her 5th birthday when she first showed sign of magic. Nora isn’t the typical pureblood girl you will find, but as a 17 year old girl you’ll just have to find out. She has a very spirited nature and is not afraid to express herself. Her imagination and creativity is very wide, it helps for so she is into art, especially just sketching. Even dedicated a part of her room she magically enchanted to put her drawings up. Nora can express herself through sketching more than talking, she can’t explain it but when she sketches she pours her emotions and it calms her down. Like any human being, Nora is the same; she has a heart and feelings. She despises rumours, it puts in a sort of frenzy when people talk behind her back and make up lie after lie when she knows she didn’t do it. Being around people lifts her energy; she loves to socialize with just about anyone. Muggleborns are the least people to hang around with, all except the half bloods and muggles (whom are rare in the house but still there), she hangs out with them because why else did the Sorting Hat place them in Slytherin? Two things Nora is big on are honesty and bravery. She feels that if you got something to say it; then say it to her face! If you're brave enough. Although there are times when Nora herself will lie and be cunning to get out of something she doesn't want to do. Bravery, well she’s not Gryffindor student, is something she employs in her life for she believes being brave will not allow her to be pushed around by other people. Nora has always had the knack for being a good judge of character. Something she always had since she can remember. This will also allow her to achieve her goal positively with the people around her, in and out of her life. One of the best things about Nora is her never ending supply of knowledge. The girl loves to read! She could tell you whether the books hold good information for learning or discovering something new. But her love for reading is to expand her horizon in every way. Nora as a pureblood follows the pureblood beliefs and traditions. Will even eat, sleep and breath the traditions. But not to the extent of the last war against Voldemort. She doesn't voice her opinion around muggleborns, choosing to keep silent and ignore them whenever possible, plus she's not keen on bullying them either. The thing she despises about the pureblood beliefs is the whole disowning for being a blood traitor and off course the stupidity of marriages to other purebloods, especially if she doesn't know the guy as a friend first. b]November 20 2023, weekend |
To do list:
1. Finish essay due for Potions
Nora doesn't like to study, period; she prefers to do other things then behind books. Despite she enjoys reading. Whenever Nora studies she just ends up being distracted and unless she studies with a friend or have one of her friends check up on where she's up to then Nora will just forget about it. It's not because of reading and having wide knowledge of information. Nora still has to study hard to get a high mark.
2. Buy lots of sweets from Honeydukes
Sweets! Nora loves sweets and it’s a good source of snack food when she sits and does her homework for it sort of assist in helping her focus. Still it’s something she has always loved eating since she was a child.
Not related to food, Nora can be a sweet person to be around with. She does have the tendency to do something nice for anyone at a random notice. No one should suffer without help when it comes relationship problems of sort or getting out of trouble by professors and not get detention.
3. Detention (again!)
Nora is not perfect; there are many times she gets detentions. Either she was involved in it, tried to stop it or even was in the wrong place at the wrong time. But she doesn’t like it and sometimes she just uses her cunning skills to get out of it.
Since Nora is not perfect, this young girl has her strength and weakness.
We already know she is very knowledgeable and brave. Nora is also very quick to learn when she’s doing things physically, which is why she doesn't care much to study if its written work all the time like essays. Nora is big on honesty, so she would defiantly be honest with you, but she can easily lie when the situation depends on it. Loyalty, she applies it in her life and is loyal to those in her life, friends and enemies. She has yet to find out the cost of betraying anyone.
Nora is known for being headstrong, both a strength and weakness. She won’t back down when challenged and will do any means necessary to get what she wants. Although she may unintentionally hurt someone, to get what she wants is the prize. Headstrong doesn't usually means when she is challenged, she gets headstrong and stubborn when someone messes with anyone close to her, think they can get away with talking behind her back (or anyone again). This is resulted her to get detention occasion as well.
Her weakness one of many, is the fact she can’t tolerate talks behind her back, as mention she goes in sort of frenzy. Art is another; she loves art and could spend hours sketching. Studying, also as mentioned is third one. Things you didn't know is she’s quick to blush, she utterly despises it, doesn't know why but it normally happens when it comes to guys. Possibly Nora after dating a few guys she weary about letting anyone else in easily, even if they compliment her and want to be around her. Also she’s a virgin, although she has told people she isn't, and it’s a matter of wait and see how that play outs.
Nora having grown up in the countryside has witnessed dead animals a lot. The deep scared secret weakness of Nora Vaisey, even she doesn't know about this, is the death of loved ones. She’s not sure she can handle seeing either one of her family (importantly) or friends buried at the moment. But life is full of unexpected surprises.
Slytherin House
Nora knew she’d be sorted in Slytherin the day she started her first year at Hogwarts, because both her parents where in Slytherin. If that is not a good enough answer, then Nora wanted to be in that house. But it was up to the sorting hat.
The early years for Nora were simple enough for a young girl still growing up. She was alert to her surroundings the first year, trying to get used to the castle and amount of other students around her. As the years progressed Nora made her friends and enemies, mostly its friends, she was still young to make enemies. But she would have a few rivals here and there.
Nora began to notice boys from her third and fourth year onwards; her first kiss happened during the summer between her 4th and 5th year, since then she had a few dates. Some turned into a relationship, and she had one that lasted well up until her 6th year. But that ended and it was not her fault, although she now as a slight hatred to guy she dated, whom was a pureblood. Nora had made it rule to marry a pureblood whom she knew well and can be in a relationship with.
As her seventh year draws near, Nora is just about ready to step into the wizardry world as an adult. Her life is just beginning a new chapter of unexpectedness she'll make the most of it and make it worthwhile 7th year to remember.

Peaceful was the word to describe this opportunity. Away from the wizardry, away from the drama that still resides her life – despite at any given moment that could be disrupted. It felt like old times before she graduated from Hogwarts. Playing music was her passion and she was good at it. Josephine inherited this talent from her father, and she was glad to have something such as this to share with him.
Thinking about music, the one thing that did bring to mind was the day she ran into Andromeda Black, and what she told her about holding an event for the lives were lost. Josephine still awaited the details of when this would be happening. She was looking forward for it, should it happen then she could finally begin her career in the wizardry world.
She stopped playing and rested her guitar on her lap as she looked up and around the park. Her location was a muggle park. A very quiet one and not many know about it. So Josephine still held her freedom away from the paparazzi in the muggle world. And it made her get away from the wizardry world for the time being. Josephine sighed, there were times when she wished she was beside her parents and listening to their wisdom. But her parents were lying low right now in the muggle world and she hasn’t spoken to them in a while, all she knows they’re still alive. With the war beginning, she was unsure if she should keep her job in the muggle world, for Josephine didn’t know what the dark lord had installed in for her.
