I realised I hadn't written to you for ages, or seen you or spoken to you or communicated at all. Sorry. What news on the Rialto, sister? Hopefully no shipwrecks though...
It's raining here. I sold a painting and chased an old lady down the street waving an umbrella. That's all my news really.

Leighton,
It's alright - I never wrote to you either, so I'm just as bad.
A quote from The Merchant of Venice? - I'm impressed! No, no shipwrecks. A blind date courtesy of Lavinia, and too much on at work, but that's about it on my end!
Why are you chasing old ladies?! But congrats on the painting-selling! Which one? And to who?
Love you lots, Sylvie xxx

Sylvie,
That's true.
No need to sound so surprised. I quote Shakespeare quite well at times. A blind date? You? Who with?
To be fair, it was her umbrella. She left it on the bus and I was returning it to her. It was the latest yellow one with the bench on it. The painting that is, not the umbrella or the old lady. Or the bus. To some random guy who liked it.
