Should I call you Professor or is Luke okay? This is so awkward
I just wanted to say that out of all the Professors it could have been, I'm glad you're the one that got my best friend pregnant. Your classes were always really good and I got top marks in my NEWTs so you're going to have a smart kid and that's great.
I know we don't know each other outside of the classroom and everything but I'd like to go for drinks sometime or dinner with you. if you want to, of course. Or maybe after Gavi's had the baby then you, her, myself and Minos can go out together. Oh, and the baby, of course!
Also, can you please remember to buy Gavi the right fruit next time so she doesn't owl me crying about it?
Regards, Frankie

Frankie,
How do I even Luke will be fine, thank you. I assume you're okay with me calling you Frankie? I apologise if not.
I have absolutely no clue how to reply to Thank you - I think? I know that she told you quite early on about us, and I owe you a lot of gratitude for keeping it a secret. I would have told you that earlier but in all honesty I had no clue how to phrase it.
I think drinks sound like a great idea. Talking about this in person will probably be easier than in a letter where I have time to overthink everything I'm saying. I believe Gavi has invited you to dinner? Would next Tuesday suit you? And then maybe once the baby's arrived a double-date No I'm sorry I cannot go on a double date with three former students we could organise something further?
At least you didn't have to try to console her in person after I got back with the fruit. You'd think I'd killed the Dalai Lama.
Sincerely,
Profes Luke
