Noah was exhausted when he apparated back to his flat. After a long day of job hunting, which hadn't been successful, he knew something would have to change. With barely enough money to cover rent, Noah would run out soon, and hopefully he'd have enough tip money from playing for some muggles to cover food for the next week. However, he couldn't just plop down and do nothing for the evening, he was supposed to possibly perform with Grace Longbottom. Maybe he'd get a few tips tonight- though, he'd have to split them, which was fine, as long as people tipped generously. He managed to find a clean shirt- a new one, a random gift from his mother, who was starting to feel sorry for making her son move out and make his own impression on the world. As he put it on, he mentally kicked himself for being insane enough to move out before he had a job. If he'd had some sort of stable income, he wouldn't be having the problems that he had. If things didn't start looking up, he'd probably take up a job at a muggle restaurant waiting tables or something. His father probably wouldn't approve- maybe he'd reapply to the Ministry or something. Stuffing some sheet music into his guitar case, Noah felt as ready as possible for the night. Not exactly ready to break the news of yet another failed interview, he stepped out, feeling a cool breeze lapping against his face. Stepping back into the apartment, he slung the guitar case across his back, then apparated with a crack to right outside the Leaky Caldron, where he was certain he'd find Grace. He stepped in cautiously, taking in the distinctive scent of the place. Looking around, the pub looked slightly crowded, which could be a good side. Stuffing his hands into his pockets, all he had to do was wait. ((ooc- I hope this is alright! if there's anything you need me to change, I'd be happy to do so!))

Grace had been waiting patiently for Noah to apparate for the better part of ten minutes, having only just changed out of her work clothes and gotten ready. She was beyond excited for tonight because she didn't get to perform nearly as much as she wanted to since her contact with Cris hadn't been the same in the last year and he was her main duet partner.
She let out a small noise of relief when she finally noticed Noah in the doorway and stood up, walking towards him with a huge grin on her face. "Hi!" she greeted cheerfully, making a move to hug him quickly before pulling back. "So, I was thinking we could do that song, 'Somebody That I Used To Know'... it's got both male and female parts in it and I think it suits our style. Maybe A Little Fall of Rain from Les Miserables as well? Oh gosh, this is going to be brilliant! I'm so excited!"

"Great then!" Grace beamed, twisting the locket of her necklace somewhat nervously. She was always fine when she got up on stage to sing but beforehand she always felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness overcome her. "Oh, great! I don't know Urinetown too well but I've heard that song a couple of times so we can work that in. Maybe we could do a Spring Awakening song? Not a really rude one but just... maybe The Song of Purple Summer?" She looked at him curiously. "Still job-hunting? Because I'm sure mum wouldn't mind offering you a job waiting tables?"
"Nervous? Me? A little... but I'll be fine once I get up there. Miranda's not working today so she won't throw me off, I suspect... and even if she were here then I'd be able to get past it." Miranda Mercier, the bane of Grace's existence and one of the people she disliked in the world. She was rude and almost always made Grace feel terrible whenever they were put on the same shift. "I can't wait to blow everyone away! I mean... does that sound a bit conceited of me? It does, doesn't it? I just hope we do blow everyone away. We've got the potential! I just hope they like the songs. Musicals are probably a bit different to the sort of musicals they usually hear! Not exactly The Fifth Horseman!"

Her outfit is here!))

Noah noticed her twisting the locket, but decided against mentioning it. "One of these days, you ought to see it. It's one of the best musicals out there," he advertised with a grin. "The Song of Purple summer sounds fantastic. It's a great song." Noah nodded to Grace's question. He'd been looking for a job since the day he'd gotten home from Hogwarts, and no one had decided to take him in. "Yeah. I've been at it for a while now." At the second bit, Noah's eyes widened, and a slight grin came across his face. "That...would be much, much, much appreciated. At this point, I'll take any job I can get my hands on."
Noah nodded. He knew the feeling after years of performing with his muggle musical theatre friends. For him, the slight nervousness went away right as he stepped into the spotlight. ""Miranda? Ah. Yep, she doesn't exactly sound like the most friendly person. Never met her, though." He shrugged. "Nah. It really doesn't sound too conceited. It just sounds as if you have confidence in our abilities to perform." A smile came back across Noah's face. "The Fifth Horseman is to...mainstream. People want something different, and that's what we're going to offer them."
