Have you checked the refrigerator? Really, lovely, Lily's complaining of hunger pains. I saw she had a new book by her night stand - would I be right in saying she's probably buried in it right now? Be a dear and feed her, won't you?

Yeah, Lily's got some new book. Don't you worry about her sometimes? I mean, she's 15, Mum. She should want to be with her friends in the holidays, not burying her nose in some book. Who reads for pleasure?
I will happily be a dear and feed her. If we had any food. Did you forget about that part? It's sort of the basis of our correspondence.
