Well, you're yet another on the family I haven't seen for goodness knows how long. How are you, my boy? Work going well, I hope?
Do you see anything of your cousins? I'm a little concerned about Muirin - - it's not like her not to visit for so long. I'm about to write to your brother myself, so I daresay I will hear all his news from him.
Things are quiet here, which is how we like it, of course. No immediate news on anything important.

It's great to hear from you. Yes work is going quite well, I hope you are keeping well. Give my regards to Auntie.
I actually ran into Muirin the other night, in the Ministry. She seemed a bit out of it, so I understand what you mean when you say she's acting odd. I'll write if anything meaningful comes up, yes?

I'm doing lovely, as is mother. I'll drop in later next week, perhaps, if work doesn't keep me. I'll write before I do.

That's excellent. Yes, we are both quite well, as are the dogs, and I have had the most magnificent displa of roses this year. A shame you didn't see them at their best.
Well, Muirin replied to my letter and assured me that she is quite well, although your news is a little worrying. I sincerely hope that this is nothing to do with this Quidditch-playing friend of Jethro's.
That's good. It has been far too long since we saw any of you. It will be lovely to catch up with you and all your news.

That's brilliant. I'll bet mum would just love to come and see those sometime. It's been far too long since she got out of the house, or so it seems to me, anyway.
She did? Well, she said the same to me, but I thought something was off. Maybe I'm looking too deep into things. I sincerely hope so too, because the last time his name came up, the boy went into hiding.
To be honest, it's been far too long since I saw anybody, Nevin included. Maybe I'll go visit him sometime soon.

Well, do tell your dear mother that she is welcome here any time she likes.
His name has come up before? And why was I not informed of this, Niall? However, Jethro tells me that he has had a word with this boy, and that he will not be bothering Muirin again. Talking of Jethro, have you heard about this girl he's taken up with?
I'm sure Nevin would be pleased to see you. His daughter is rather a sweet little thing; we're all very fond of her, and it would be a shame if she didn't know her uncle. And what on earth have you been doing with yourself not to have seen anyone?

Yes, once, and it was a few months ago. I didn't think too much into it, but only because Muirin didn't seem like it was negatively affecting her in any way. No I haven't talked to Jethro. Is it that Flynn woman, I think her name starts from S but I'm not sure. I haven't had the chance to meet her so I don't really know what to say.
Well then, I'm sure I'll take every chance I have to pamper my angel of a niece. I've just been occupied with work and whatnot. A lot of foreign exchange and transactions happening with the Quidditch games going on, so it's been busy.
