My dear child, where on earth are you? Your mother's getting quite worried, and so am I. We haven't seen you for such a long time. I do hope everything's okay. How's the business?
Please do drop in at home some time, or at least drop us a line to let us know you're alright, if you don't have time to come and visit. The garden's looking beautiful at the moment though; you should really come and see it.
All my love,
Dad

Father,
At my flat, father; I hardly venture out these days because I've received such a shipment of antiques from Italy as... I know I'm probably not sounding very eloquent but I'm quite excited about the collection. I've a few gifts selected out for you and Mother and the rest of the family; I'll definitely come by to visit the two of you once I'm sure everything is arranged to my taste and to perfection at the shop.
Do reassure Mother on my behalf, Father and my apologies for making you anxious. Tell her there is absolutely no reason for her to be concerned and that her daughter is over the moon about her life[/i] business.
As I said, Father; everything is flourishing. I'm planning to visit France; I've received news of an interesting nature from one of my friends there and hope to meet her when I'm there.
I'd very much like to, Father; I do have a few things to get clarifications for. I'll be sure to visit, if not for the two of you, atleast for the wonderful garden.
Love, Muirin Nessa.

Dear Muirin,
Ah, that sounds very interesting, my dear. We shall be very excited to see any bits and pieces you can spare, and to hear all about it. I hope that you are not working yourself too hard though. Perhaps you should take a holiday. Do drop in soon.
French news sounds fascinating - what sort of news? You should think about taking your holiday there, dear. When you've finished your work transactions, stay a few weeks with your friend. It would do you good to have a change and a rest, I'm sure.
Wonderful. I knew the garden would ensnare you. The dogs miss you as well.
All my love,
Dad

Dear Father,
Not bits and pieces, surely, Father. I'd hardly give you the scraps, would I now? I'm sure you'll like this particular one, though. I'm not going to say anything more in this letter for want of privacy I'd spoil the surprise if I did. Of course not, Father; its work I love to do, after all. I will.
Of the kind you like knowing about, Father. She works at the Ministry there and she's been inviting me over for a while now. I'm sure that whatever news I gather will be of interest to you. I'll be sure to make the most of the holiday, when I make it.
I miss them just as much, Father. Are they doing well?
Love, Muirin.

Dear Muirin,
Well, I look forward immensely to seeing them. And I know that you love it, but we all need a break from time to time.
That is excellent news, my dear - you shall have to tell me it all when you get back. Connections abroad are so pleasant to have, aren't they? Is it Paris your friend lives in? I visited Paris several times when I was younger - a beautiful city!
They are doing excellently - all in very good health, you'll be glad to hear.
All my love,
Dad
