The Summer Institution for the Fine Arts is open to the public. The Summer Institution for the Young and Talented is invitation-only. So how does one score a sacred place at this prestigious camp? They must attend at least a year at Fine Arts and show that they have talent and promise at the Gala at the end of the summer. And for the campers at Young and Talented, the Gala means fighting for their place at camp.
The pressure is on for these young campers every summer. Along with the craziness that occurs when you put a bunch of hormonal teens together. Every summer is definitely an interesting one here in Southern California.
