Dear diary,

So, after many, many, many years of Danni finding my diary, Madilyn finding my diary, and a random assortment of people coming across my diary, I decided to actually put a spell on it so no-one could open it. But if someone has actually managed to open it, then please... leave!

Thankyou. Now for the important stuff.

Danni's got a boyfriend now - Lorcan Scamander. I like him well enough, though I don't know him enough to judge, so I hope their relationship is good for Danni. Unfortunately, that leaves me with a lot of spare time and the stars can't be seen during the day.

So I, attempting to find a book on the proper methods of caring for Bowtruckles for our Care of Magical Creatures essay, managed to meet the "oh so great" Sebastian Nott. He was sitting in my favourite seat in the library, and we ending up talking, and leaving to go to the Astronomy Tower.

I'm not even going to write down here how I feel about all this - I don't trust that spell yet!

Madilyn's been looking a bit lost lately - maybe we can connect a bit more now Danni's off doing her thing.
And Hayden has been disappearing quite often recently... and so has Emily - I heard some rumours about that...

Ran into Jerald Sneed, who was arguing with Cassandra - he was all in my face about the Creevey Memoriam; I may like the band, but I'm not going to ask for favours because of my last name.

Madilyn and Emily decided to play a trick on Louis for something quite petty - and I decided to help, fool that I am. They put a love potion in his drink that made him fall in "love" with Aria Matthews - a Gryffindor seventh year. I don't know whether he's been cured yet.

Cassandra wants Diya Zabini and Jared Abercrombie to get together - I think they'd be really cute together!

I think I should probably write down everything I need to do; my memory's hopeles...

TO DO:
- Find out the truth about Hayden and Emily
- Write CoMC essay
- Hang out with Madilyn more (it'll also help achieve the E&H goal)
- Find out if Louis has been cured yet
- Avoid Jerald
- Attempt to find the scarf Danni lent me last week

So, my life is a little confused, but hey! - I haven't spent every day in the library this week. That's an improvement.

Let's just start over.

I managed to talk to Hayden, finally - but he's being very closed lipped about the whole thing with Emily. But then Em showed up at dinner with a huge smile on her face, so I'm guessing they worked things out.

And I managed to have a talk with Madilyn, which was really nice... I'd forgotten how well we'd gotten on. She's met this guy called Atreus, who is annoying her, but... well, she'll probably end up with him. I hope she does, not just for gossip's sake, but also because she deserves it. Though I'd be really jealous if she did, that's everyone paired up but me.

Re-met Maria Roy, a sweet Hufflepuff; had a nice chat with Dante, though I was really awful to him in the beginning...

Dear diary,

Sorry for cutting you off last time - Danni came in, and I had to hide you. Though why I'm apologising to an inanimate object is beyond me.

At any rate -

I had a fight with Devyn, Danni's twin, in the dungeons... I was looking for Hayden and Emily, because I'd looked practically everywhere else, and frankly I was desperate. I hate an unsolved piece of gossip. Anyway, I ran into Devyn, and she started... interrogating me, is the word, I suppose, about why I was in the dungeons. She clearly didn't believe my reasoning for being there - I admit that if I had been in her position, I wouldn't have believed me either.

The 'argument' quickly escalated into her accusing me of liking Sebastian - well, actually, she brought him up, then confused me by saying that I was the one who brought him up... And apparently there have been rumours flying around the school that I like Sebastian - though how I could have missed this, I have no idea.

Unfortunately, for some reason, whenever Devyn is around my completely bitchy side comes out - so I was definitely antagonising her more that I should have. Then she said something about how Sebastian was all over me... and how I meant nothing to him. And then she mentioned getting drunk with him -which is an awful thing to do! We are only fourteen, and Sebastian is only fifteen! - and I think they slept together sort of... left. Well, I didn't sort of leave, I did leave, and had myself a good self-pity session in the corridor.

So then I went to dinner with my happy face on. But it turned out to be not so happy, because I was still angry at Devyn, and started being so awful to Dante, and scaring a Hufflepuff in my year - Maria - with my behaviour. Dante cheered me up a lot, though, and he started teaching me a little Italian. Mad was there, though not really - she kept staring off into space...

It's nice being able to write this all out - though Danni and Dante are my best friends, I don't want to tell them everything... they might hate me, or be disappointed in me... they might leave. Most people do. Only Anya stayed, even after the magic started.
