Levi never really knew what to do around his owl. Vulcan was a temperamental bird who enjoyed pecking at Levi's ears when there wasn't a treat involved. That lead Lee to trudge down to the hospital wing at least once a week from it. The boy wasn't too impressed with the owl, but getting a new one would be too expensive. And plus, he had a soft spot for the bird.
Today was different. He'd taken Vulcan with him to Diagon Alley because he'd noticed that the bird was acting strangely. For starters, he wasn't eating much, which definitely was a sign that something wasn't right. Vulcan always ate anything he could- would something he'd eaten make him feel that way? Looking a bit worried, Levi made his way into the shop, hoping he'd find someone who knew what to do with his feverish-looking owl.
Looking around, he saw no one that actually worked at the shop, which was a bit strange. He did see someone in Ravenclaw who was several years above him- Lysander Scamander, if he remembered right. He never really conversed with him, if he remembered correctly. Scratching the back of his own neck, Lee contemplated going up to the guy, but decided against it. He felt a sharp pain near his ear, and looked over. Vulcan had decided to peck at his ear again. With a slight frown, Levi decided against telling the bird off, and besides, it wouldn't listen.
