spring, 2020 The girl was attractive, that was all Ian could think about. The fact that she was snogging him as a rebound from her ex-boyfriend of twelve hours was just a technicality. For one, it made him feel less guilty about snogging (and possibly shagging) her. He wasn't that sort of guy. He didn't like to view women as objects. But he'd been there when she felt the need to do something, and had promptly climbed onto his lap in the back of the library and was now snogging him senseless. The fact that she was one of Honor's best friends was just a plus. Ian smiled into their kiss, knowing how pissed off his step-sister would be if she were to stumble upon them right now - or find out about the snog/possible shag later. But then Ian wondered why he was thinking about his step-sister, and stopped. He put his full concentration on the girl that was straddling him in an uncomfortable chair. His hands had already snaked their way under her shirt and danced across her smooth skin. One rest on her hip, while the other slowly made it's way up her abdomen to one of her breasts. Oh, he was one of the luckiest guys alive right now. The girl, whose name had slipped Ian's mind at the moment, broke their kiss and dropped down to kiss his neck - the side that had yet to have a hickey. Ian's chest heaved, and he closed his eyes. This was perfect. No one was back here. They were alone, and Ian was sure, as the girl's hands worked at his belt, and she pulled her lips away from his neck and slowly began to slide to the floor, that she was going to go down on him. And he was more than ready. In the fucking library, he reveled. What a great fucking day this was. Nothing could ruin it.

Honor had been in the middle of dinner when the news had drifted to her ears that such and such had seen her brother - no, correction, her step-brother, in the library with her best friend, April. She'd immediately dropped her fork, stop up and walked so quickly out of the great hall that not a soul could stop her, even if they wanted to.
Gritting her teeth, she made her way into the library, pushing a few choice people out of her way and determinedly not getting side-tracked by the completely unflattering way they were wearing their uniform. She searched row after row of books before she finally found April on her knees in from of Ian. Oh, happy bloody days.
"CASPIAN MILO FUCKING FLEMING, GET YOUR ARSE UP AND AWAY FROM FROM HER. RIGHT NOW!" Honor all but screeched as she made her way over, yanking April promptly up by her hair until the girl was off her knees and standing up. Almost immediately, Honor started fussing over her, pulling down the other girl's skirt and readjusting her top until April just pulled away from her, glaring before hissing, "I don't need you to be my mum, Honor! God, I already have a mum! Just leave me alone!"
"I wouldn't have to try to be your mum if you could keep it in your pants for like one minute, you daft bitch!" she shouted at her back, scowling (and somehow still looking pretty) in the process before she whirled around to Ian. "Okay, first of all, put your dick away before I cut it off. And second of all, what the actual hell, Ian? I know your head's like... full of air but she just got broken up with and she doesn't need to be shagging you of all people, okay? Don't you have standards?"

The girl, the beautiful dark-haired girl, was slowly pulling down his boxers. Teasing him, she was teasing him. That was exactly what she was doing. It was killing him. And just as Ian was sure she was going finish pulling his boxers just enough so he would be... sticking out, he heard a blood-curdling cry. The voice he recognized instantly, and he winced inwardly. Honor always had to screw up everything. His home, his room, his life. Bitch.
"What the hell, Honor?!" Ian hollered back as he watched his step-sister pull her best friend up from the ground by her hair. By her hair. Who does that? Not a best friend! He snorted and rolled his eyes. "My dick isn't out, you blind twat." Ian adjusted his trousers and buttoned them back up, leaving his belt undone as he sat there in the chair, staring up at his step-sister with one brow cocked.
"No shit she was just broke up with! Why the hell are you calling her a bitch, then? Shouldn't you be comforting her?" Ian snapped back, sick of Honor and her pushy ways. "Oh, wait, if you had been, maybe she wouldn't have climbed on top of me." He stood up now, loving that he was few inches taller than Honor. Ian didn't want to throw April under the bus, but it had slipped out before he could stop himself.
"Of course I have standards, Honor," he grumbled, irritated. "And it sure sounds like you're implying that my standards are higher than what you consider your best friend to be. How can you put up with her all of the time?" he asked, throwing the question at the girl whose name he had yet to remember.
((ooc: i dunno if april stuck around or not, but... yeah. xP ))

"What the hell what, Ian?! Don't you yell at me!" Honor shouted back, her hands flying to rest on her hips as she glared at him, spiteful enough that she hoped he would truly burst into flames. "Oh, I'm sorry, you see, I thought it was just so minuscule you'd have to actually look hard enough to find it and I was exactly in the mood to go searching for your dick!"
"Because she's an idiot for trying to get it on with you and also, maybe, because she is a bitch!" Honor let out a scoff. Of course, of course she was always the bad girl. It could never be her fault. "You didn't have to reciprocate! And she was meant to be in bed, crying because she was apparently so heart-broken that Derek had left her again." She shot April a filthy look over her shoulder. "Also, y'know, it's called tough love! I know you think you understand how girls work but Flynn doesn't count and neither do the rest of the girls you shag."
Irrationally, she almost wanted to literally kick Ian down to size. He was so damn infuriating sometimes. She missed the days when she was taller than him - in fact, she missed the days where he wasn't in her life. "No, actually, I'm implying that your standards should be higher than a girl who broke up with her boyfriend 12 hours ago and doesn't need to be screwing someone like you as a rebound," she informed him haughtily.
Vaguely, she heard April make a scathing remark beneath her breath before the other girl threw her hands up in the air and stormed out. Well, good. She didn't understand how you could go from loving someone and crying about them just an hour ago to wanting to shag somebody else's brains out the next. It made zero sense to her. "Why do you have to be such a dick all the time?"

"You were yelling first, bimbo!" Ian retorted, his tone matching the level of hers. He shook his head, and rolled his eyes; he was so used to her insulting his manhood. She needed to get some better insults. He scoffed. "Well, April had no trouble searching and finding my dick, so maybe you should thank her. God forbid you be thankful for once in your life!"
She really had the nerve. Who cared if April was going to give him a blowjob, or have sex with him? He hadn't instigated it, and while he didn't really approve of using women purely for sexual purposes, he wasn't about to pass up the chance if a girl threw herself at him. They obviously thought it might comfort them - and who was he to deny comforting someone?
"No, Honor, you're the bitch," Ian corrected in a very level tone, glaring at his step-sister. Oh, if their parents could see them right now. Maybe they'd finally regret their marriage to one another, get a divorce and then Ian could go about ignoring Honor Knightley for the rest of time. "How the hell was I supposed to know she was meant to be crying in bed? I don't keep tabs on her!" She honestly couldn't be blaming him, could she? Merlin, she was such a prick. Ian laughed bitterly. "Oooh, you know me so well, sis! I don't shag Flynn, not that it's any of your business.
"God, Honor, you know what your problem is?" Ian continued, on a roll now. "You need to get laid. Some guy needs to toss you on a bed, and fuck you senseless. Then maybe you'd relax and pull that stick out of your arse!" She really was a stuck up bitch, Ian mused as he continued to glare at her. Why oh why did she have to be his step-sister? He watched as April stalked away from them grumpily.
"I'm not a fucking dick," Ian spat. "You just piss me off. And what if April and I had hooked up, and then decided that we wanted to be in a relationship together? Hmm, Honor? You may hate me, but at least I wouldn't leave her over and over like her boyfriend seems to do."

"That doesn't mean you have to yell back at me, you moron," Honor said, throwing him a dirty look before scoffing, taking one step closer into his person space so they were almost touching. But thankfully not too close because, ew, she didn't need to get STD and she bet that he had so many they were practically oozing out of his ginormous pores by now. "Yeah, I'm really going to thank her for trying to bring you pleasure instead of pain. Yeah, right."
"Yes, and? I think after years of you calling me a bitch that I've got the message, again and again. Come up with something new sometime, yeah?" she said coolly, rolling her eyes as her anger beginning to be replaced by pure hate instead. "I didn't say that you had to keep tabs on her, did I? No! I said that instead of comforting her, she should have been in bed. You asked, I told. Next time you try and insult me, try not to make your stupidity so blatantly obvious!" She shook her head in disbelief. "Don't call me sis, okay? We're thankfully only related by marriage! If we were related by blood I'd have killed myself by now! And sure you don't. I'm sure..."
Before she could stop herself, she found her foot swiftly flying out so she could kick him in the shins. How dare he? He had some nerve! She could feel her cheeks heating up both in embarrassment and anger. "The answer to everything isn't shagging everything in sight! God. And you know what my problem is, little boy? It's you. You're my problem! I wish my dad had never met your mum and you and your sister! Any family would have been much, much better than yours to join!"
"Oh, sorry, you don't have one. What does that make you then?" she retorted hotly before shaking her head yet again. "I would think it was a relationship of convenience, a desperate bid to make everybody think it wasn't a cheap one-night rebound shag! And Merlin, don't you know anything? April's completely co-dependent. That's why her boyfriend keeps breaking up with her - she's too clingy and throws a fit whenever he's even talking to another girl. She may be one of my best friends but she's absolutely rubbish at making her boyfriend stay with her!"

"I'm certainly not going to let you yell at me, and get away with it!" Ian replied, narrowing his eyes. He scowled at her, so sick and tired of her antics. She exhausted him. She was an exhausting person. How her mother had made it through her pregnancy was beyond him. "You know, Honor, you're never happy unless everyone else is miserable. It's pathetic."
Ian chuckled, shaking his head. "Well, if the shoe fits...!" he retorted, his voice rising. She was a bitch. He didn't need a new insult; she needed a new attitude. He laughed louder this time. "I wasn't trying to insult you! I've given up on that. I just tell it like I see it." Ian's face because very serious because he hated her. He hated her so much. And not in the I-hate-you-so-much-that-I-want-fuck-you-but-you're-my-stepsibling-so-I-can't-and-therefore-I-hate-you way; but in every sense of the word. He wished she didn't exist.
The kick to the shins hurt, but Ian was so used to it after all of these years. It was like his shins had grown another layer of skin, something a bit more protective. He gritted his teeth; if they weren't at school, he would have started wrestling with her. He didn't condemn physically fighting with girls, but Honor was far from being a girl and she deserved it. Ian knew that she could hold her own. "No, shagging isn't the answer to everything!" he agreed. "But I think just this once, it might do the fucking trick! And do you honestly think you're hurting me by saying that? Because I feel the same fucking way, Honor. I would gladly have taken another family over you and your father."
"You can believe what you want to believe. Nobody really cares what you have to say," Ian replied, ignoring the comment about his dick. He was immune to them by now. They didn't irritate him as much as she seemed to think they did. "You know what? I'm done here. I'm done talking to you. All you do is talk in circles, and I have no interest in that. You're fucking exhausting. So I'm leaving. Insult me all you want on the way," he added. Because he didn't care. He just didn't care!

Honor was seized with pure hate yet again. She hated how he always had a point, how he was always so sure that he was in the right when he wasn't. "You're so - Merlin, you're for infuriating! Can't you just shut up for once and admit you're wrong?" Honor snapped, crossing her arms against her (lack of, really) chest and glaring hard at him. "No, correction, I'm never happy unless you're miserable. Get a clue."
"Ohh, if the shoe fits! Wow, getting serious now, aren't you?" she said, voice dripping of sarcasm. "Well, how you see it is wrong, isn't it?" She rolled her eyes as he took on his 'serious' face being he seriously looked ridiculous with it. "No wonder why people think you're the stupid one between us."
"Oh, please! Who says I'm not getting shagged? You? Yeah, because you totally know everything," she said haughtily, letting out a fake laugh. "But you know, I might take your advice. I might just go shag one of your guy friends. In fact, let's go ask them, huh? Bet they'd say no. You know why? Because most people wouldn't like sleeping with their friend's sibling! No, I don't think I'm hurting you by saying that. If I wanted to hurt you then I'd say something bad about Calixa or your mother but thankfully, I have enough morals to hold back what I think about both of them. Not like you have the same, always being such a prat to my dad."
"I will believe what I want to believe and as if I care whether they care about what I'm saying. I know I'm right and I don't need them to verify that!" She shrugged carelessly, falling back to sit at the table he'd been at previously. "Whatever. Go away then. But just know that next time you consent to fucking one of my friend's that I'll be there, every time, to ruin what would have been potentially a very good shag. Every time."
