Beauxbatons Academy of Magic , - Founded in 1216 by Jacques Dupont. - Previous Headmistress Olympe Maxime retired eight years ago in 2015 and was replaced by Thérèse Clairoux who had taught Potions at Beauxbatons for 23 years beforehand. - Unlike Hogwarts and Durmstrang, Beauxbatons is a palace and not a castle. It is located near the city of Cannes in southern France and is unplottable. - Their Coat of Arms is two golden wands crossed over one another, each shooting three stars. - Students (both male and female) attend Beauxbatons between the ages of 9 and 18. They take their exams (similar to O.W.L.s) when they are 15, and again when they are 18. - The food at Beauxbatons is lighter than the food served at Hogwarts and while the staff and students dine they are serenaded by choirs of wood nymphs. - During Christmas time, the dining halls is decorated with great, non-melting ice sculptures. - Beauxbatons uniforms are made of a light blue silk and all students are to look their best at all times. Previous students include: - Adélaïde Lamoureux - Isabella O'Malley - Émi Lamoureux - Gabe Proveaux - Matthieu Lamoureux - Renée Dupuis - Annabel Hewer
