Scorpius,
Roxanne wrote me, telling me about your situation, and I just wanted to let you know that if you need a place to stay, you're more than welcome to come stay in my apartment. I could use a roommate, and we are family.
She also told me that you've been job hunting. Is that going alright?

Teddy,
Oh, right. What did she say exactly?
Thanks, I really appreciate the offer. Is it a serious one? I might end up taking you up on it... I mean, there are places I could rent, but I could afford the first few months and that would be it. And I can't work while I'm still at Hogwarts, or at least only in the holidays - and you can't rent a place just for the summer, so I'd be stuck paying rent on it for the whole of the rest of the year...
I haven't found a job yet, but I plan on getting one, yes.
Scorpius
PS - I talk to Roxanne too. You have now officially forfeited any right to lecture me about responsibility ever again. That's all.

Scorpius,
Nothing, just that you were looking for a place and still hadn't found one. So I thought, why not offer up mine because I have tons of space. She also said you were job hunting. Actually she said pretty much everything you're saying right now.
Okay, good, just let me know when you want to move in because I'm the messiest creature on earth and I'll haven't had the time to clean up because of work. I'll make space for you when you need me to.
What kind of job are you looking for?
Teddy
PS: Why did I not see this coming?

Teddy,
Well, only if you're sure. Seriously - I can find somewhere else if you're not. You'd probably rather have your own space - I can understand that. But if you are sure, then... I guess the end of term...
You don't need to make space though. I only need a bed and stuff.
I don't know what I'm looking for really.
Scorpius
PS - I have no idea. Maybe you need glasses. Roxanne's pretty upset with you, you know.

Scorpius,
If I wasn't sure, I wouldn't ask. No, I actually get a bit bored by myself. Company would be nice and we haven't seen each other in forever, so, it should be nice.
No, I know, but I'm not going to invite you in if it looks like a pig sty, right? It's cool, I have an extra bed and an extra room. It's all good.
How about assisting at Ollivander's? We could always use some help around here, it'll be summer so lots of business with new kids coming in and, yeah. But I get it if you don't want to.
Teddy.
PS: Tell me something knew. She wants to kick me the next time we meet, and that isn't even the worst, really.

Teddy,
Well. Thanks. Seriously.
It's your house though. If you want it to look like a pigsty, I'm not complaining...
Does Ollivander take random assistants with no qualifications higher than OWLs? I thought you'd have to know something about wandlore, or at least be wanting to study it... I guess it would be better than serving in some bar though.
Scorpius
PS - Your spelling is shit. Is that something new? What's the worst then?

omg poor teddy being blamed for my typos
Scorpius, No problem. Rox told me she was going to ask you to move in with her and room with her father and I figured your family wouldn't be too pissed if you lived with me, right? Yeah, but I'll have to make space in for you, too. Well, if you're not doing the research bits and just assisting with the sales, accepting deliveries and the manning the cash counter, it shouldn't be a problem. Plus, he's senile, so he usually leaves things like that for me to decide. Teddy PS: Please, I wasn't paying attention while writing. I was too busy running into Victoire The fact that she's going to kick me where it hurts most.

(( OOC - Lololol, sorry, bad habit of mine to point out small errors in character. No regrets because it amuses me. Just count yourself lucky that Scorpius isn't demanding why Teddy thinks his family might get drunk if he moved in with Rox (pissed=drunk in British English) )) Teddy, Yeah, she mentioned that. I wasn't sure it was the best idea, for some strange reason. I also wasn't sure she'd actually asked her dad about it, so yeah. Don't think that was ever going to be happening. My family are pissed off anyway. I don't really give a toss what they think. So you're basically running Ollivander's now then? Well, I suppose I should say thanks again, then... Scorpius PS - I don't think she will.

((I am getting a British English slang list. that is all))
Scorpius,
You don't say. Although, I have to admit, if it did happen, it would be a sight to see. I think I'd move in too, just to watch.
Okay, never mind.
Yeah, please don't say it like that, especially in front of my boss. He basically orders me around and then vanishes for hours on end so I have to make half the decisions myself, especially the ones about hiring help because he doesn't care. So, yeah. And no problem. I'm being very selfish here, because I don't want to do so much work.
Teddy
PS: Good.

((OOC - There's an American/British translation list thingy that a bunch of us made up somewhere on this site. I think maybe in the chat and discussion board? Lol.))
Teddy,
I have nothing against most of her family, but that really wouldn't be fun. To be honest though, if you moved in too, you'd probably end up being ordered to chaperone us all the time.
Anything else I shouldn't say in front of your boss? And what would the work actually be? I mean, I don't know anything about selling wands.
Scorpius
PS - Know what? I'm going to let this drop because I owe you one now. I will hold it over your head if I ever need to though.

((Oh yeah I remember that, vaguely))
Scorpius,
Most of her family? Not all then? Good point, I don't like chaperoning. Good thing you're moving in with me, right? Just so you know, please give me an advance half an hour warning if Rox is going to be coming over. I'd rather not be around for your shenanigans.
How old he is, how senile he is and how much work he makes his workers do. And just don't comment if he starts blabbering utter nonsense on wandlore. Well, you wouldn't be actually showing people wands, since that requires knowledge of wandlore, but like I said, accepting shippings, maybe moving around stuff, manning the cash registers, storage work. That kind of stuff.
Teddy
PS: How is a potential threat of holding it over me in the future, called letting it drop?

Teddy,
No, not all.
Okay, got it. Even though I haven't a clue what 'shenanigans' you're talking about.
And okay, got that too. I wouldn't know whether what he was talking was utter nonsense or not though. Is this a serious offer, by the way?
Scorpius
PS - Sorry. Should have had the words 'for now' in there somewhere.

Scorpius,
Do I even want to know what that's about?
Don't pretend. I would lecture you but clearly, I have lost such rights, so not going to bother with that one.
Yes, it really is. I could seriously use some help around here. And if you're unsure if he's making sense or not, then just stay silent and nod as if you completely agree.
Teddy
PS: Dammit.

Teddy,
I don't have a clue whether you want to know or not, but I'm not going to tell you anyway, because you're practically part of that family, and anyway I'm trying to be nice about them.
Good. Because if you had, 'for now' wouldn't have lasted very long.
Well then, I guess the answer's yes. I mean, it'd just be for the summer, so I could buy food and pay you a bit of rent...
By the way, do you ever hear from any of the rest of my family?
Scorpius
