HARRY JAMES POTTER ! --------------------------------------i dreamed i lived in another's skin the info Well, it seems Harry's all grown; he now has a family, a mortgage, and a worthwhile career. We all know his backstory, and it's sufficed to say that he became very family oriented in his adulthood, having never had one of his own before. He's the head of the Auror Office and visits Hogwarts once a semester to give lectures. In any case, I'd appreciate it if those who have a connection with Harry, whether by blood or otherwise, would come forward and tell me their ideas about how the relationship between our characters work. There are a lot of characters on this board, so that would be very helpful to me. I don't want to pass anyone up by mistake!
the friends Harry has the same values he had as a student in Hogwarts, none of that has really changed. He tries to see people as they are, and not judge them based on their differences, so I figure his friendships are rather diverse as a result. Like anyone else, he enjoys joking around and cutting up, and he hasn't lost that sarcastic sense of humor of his. Again, with a character like this, I feel like most everyone knows what to expect. Yes Harry is a friendly guy, but at the same time he's incredibly busy and quite well known...so he's not terribly accessible either. Use your discretion.
the lovers He's a married man! And happily so. the enemies Dark wizards and general asshats...you know who you are. Hiya Leander, I'm Brooke <33 -----------------------------harry and teddy
okay so, for the longest time teddy legit thought harry was his real father and he really, really looks up to him. he probably trusts him more than anybody else when it comes to real problems and a while ago, actually a year ago to be precise, teddy was hospitalized for depression and i don't think he told everyone why he went MIA for 11-12 months, but i'm guessing Harry would know? Apart from that I see these two having a father-son-brother type relationship. Okay with you, or if you have other ideas, please do tell =) [/blockquote][/blockquote] -----------------------------audrey and harry well, she's his sister in law, so they'd obviously be on good terms. she could probably sympathize a wee bit because even her brother shunned her for being a witch and she probably relates to his childhood (even if her parents were okay with it), and they'd know each other because she was a year or so ahead of him at school (I think she was in Cho's year and house?).

It's nice to meet you, Brooke. -----------------------------Teddy and Harry It took Harry some time to get over Teddy's situation I think. Part of him will always feel responsible for what happened to his parents, so I think he might have overcompensated in his role heavily...especially during Teddy's formative years. We know how obsessive Harry can be, so I imagine him going overboard at birthdays/Christmases, and making sure he was at every important event. He probably drove Andromeda mad, haha. Now that Teddy is an adult, all of that is beginning to fade. I think Harry is getting to the point where he sees his Godson as an equal, and not a baby made of glass and sad circumstances. As for his depression, I'll let you decide whether or not Harry knows.
-----------------------------Audrey and Harry I like that, they both have a quiet understand of what it's like being estranged from family. Maybe they sneak off every now and then to do the muggle things they like, but never have the chance to do anymore.

-----------------------------harry and lily
Oh yay, Lily has a dad again! Anyway, so Lily is a bit of a deviation from the family pattern, in that she's quiet, shy, dreamy and a complete bookworm, although she chatters happily enough to people she knows well and has a quirky sense of humour when you get to know her. She's fifteen, but you could be forgiven for thinking she was younger - I'm sure Harry will be happy to hear that she's a complete innocent - never had a boyfriend, never been kissed, although she has had crushes. She doesn't really have a clue about fashion, loud people intimidate her, and she'd really much rather be reading a story book or digging in the garden than going to a party... She absolutely adores her family though, especially her parents. She thinks they're amazing, and she really doesn't get why her peers complain about their parents. I mean, they probably don't get on perfectly ALL the time, but essentially, she trusts her mum and dad more than she trusts pretty much anyone else. As a result, she has a tendency to blab other people's secrets to them, including those of her brothers and cousins, lolol. [/blockquote][/blockquote] -----------------------------harry and louis Well, I also play Louis Weasley, Harry's nephew. The whole family is pretty close, and Louis has always had a kind of friendship/prank rivalry with James, despite being two years younger, so I assume they'd be close-ish as uncle and nephew. Louis is a happy-go-lucky Hufflepuff with a love of breaking rules, although he's become slightly less happy-go-lucky in recent years, and somehow got made a prefect, something he cheerfully exploits so that he can break rules more easily. He's also as obsessed with muggle gadgetry as his grandfather, but knows how to use it quite a lot better... I see them having a good relationship.
-----------------------------harry and angelina I play a ridiculous number of the Weasley-Potter family... lol. Anyway, good friends, for sure. Angelina is as strong-minded and stubborn as ever, though she's learnt to curb her temper (slightly). I think she still thinks of Harry as the skinny, underfed first year she first met on the Quidditch team, although she obviously respects him hugely for everything he is and has done. Kind of a brother-sister relationship?
-----------------------------harry and dennis On the other hand, maybe I just play too many characters altogether... Dennis has an interesting history. I won't bore you with the whole thing, but he's come a long way from the over-excitable kid who fell into the lake on his first journey across it. He's now a Senior Auror in Harry's department, so I can imagine them as having got pretty close over the years. Dennis also has three kids - Lachlan, who is a 6th Year Gryffindor, Ella, 5th Year Gryffindor, and Robbie who was born a couple of weeks ago...

-----------------------------harry and teddy
I agree. Idek, Teddy never thought of his parents a lot since he didn't remember them but he does love them a lot! Haha, How would Harry feel about his relation with the Malfoys though, because Narcissa and Andromeda cleared the air a bit and helped bring Teddy up, so he grew around the Malfoys as well and is in touch with them often. He even sees them as family. [/blockquote][/blockquote] -----------------------------audrey and harry Haha, probably if she has the time from work because she's a real workaholic, because of which she has rocky relations with not only Percy but Lucy & Molly as well. But she works at the Ministry too so they would run into each other often since he's an Auror and she's a Wizarding Lawyer and on the Wizengamot.

-----------------------------harry and ginny well, this probably speaks for itself, but ginny loves her husband dearly. she comes to the ministry to visit him and all the various other friends that work there, when she's not flitting around the world for quidditch matches and interviews. generally she stays around the u.k. or romania and i think they have a very healthy relationship. she owls lily the most because she's her sweet little girl, but she misses both slytherin al and gryffindor james (and their assorted mates).
-----------------------------harry and cassie eurgh. okay cassie's a sixth year gryffindor who is best friends with dominique weasley, eva faraday and lachlan creevey. tbh the first and last were the only relevant ones but oh well. she's also really good friends with rose, roxanne, louis and fred. she is also good friends with james and currently dating him, and has stayed at the potter residence before. she's seeker for gryffindor and she and albus have never gotten along, really [though he had a little crush on her apparently, during some point in third or fourth year] and they argue like cats and dogs. i think she and harry'd have known each other for a while, from loads of opportunities. oh! and her mum is demelza robins and ginny and demelza are friends.
-----------------------------harry and brigid brigid finnigan is a fantastic Quidditch player and prolly looks up to him and stuff, but vaguely not idolisingly. they'd know each other from get-togethers, methinks.

-----------------------------Lily and Harry Whoops, I just copied the number from your app! I should've checked the post date >.<. It's funny how loud people intimidate her though, as I don't see the Weasley clan being particularly quiet, haha. It's probably so easy to lose track of her when the entire family is together. I know I'm going to sound like a broken record before long, but Harry adores and dotes on Lily. It's fortunate Harry hasn't had to deal with hormones just yet (and shocking considering who her mother is ), but when it does make an appearance, he'll try his best to remain distant. I imagine the family's notoriety makes things like that difficult, and him poking his nose in his daughter's relationships would only make matters worse, which isn't something he wants for her. Besides, that's more Ron's style, or it was in the past at least. Anyway, as much as Harry loves and cares for his family, he has a demanding job that eats up a lot of time. There were probably many missed meals and holidays on his part, but when he is home, the family has his attention.
-----------------------------Angelina and Harry This is probably going to sound weird, but Angelina is why I decided to join up here. Usually you have a million student characters, and the adults get neglected on Post-Potter boards, but seeing Angelina was evidence that this board was different! Anyway, Harry knows from experience not to get on Angelina's bad side, which I'm sure he teases her for all the time. And I like the idea of her keeping him grounded though, with all the scrawny comments and such...it's cute. (I'm a sucker for little things like that) Harry has always respected Angelina, but the way she held the team together and won the Quidditch Cup in his fifth year will always be her crowning moment in his eyes. It's proof of what a great addition to the family she is. Any way, mad love for all his school chum, and even more brownie points for being related to him now.
Let's just take a moment to imagine a Weasley family Quidditch game, haha. It would better than a professional match...middle age be damned.
-----------------------------Louis and Harry The idea of Harry or someone getting caught in the prank crossfire amuses me. Thumbs up on all of this! ^^
-----------------------------Dennis and Harry D'aw, ickle Dennis. If they're colleagues, then I agree on the friendship. Avoiding comradeship is almost impossible with such a job, and then there is their history to account for. Harry probably brought over some cigars and firewhiskey after Robbie was born
EDIT! Whoops, I didn't see these other replies. I'll get to them soon.

-----------------------------Teddy and Harry He would have made sure Teddy knew everything there was to know about his parents. He will never be fond of the Malfoy's, but they're his family...and he wouldn't begrudge that. In fact, I can even say he buried the hatchet with Draco for Teddy's sake, since they seemed to have an understanding in the epilogue.
-----------------------------Audrey and Harry Haha, well then...Harry can make it his mission to see that she loosens up.
-----------------------------Ginny and Harry Wifey! I agree, they have a healthy relationship, with separate jobs. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that, haha. They are both strong-willed however, so I imagine their fights (when they have them) just escalate for no good reason. But big fights means there is a lot to make up for.
I family full of Gryffindors is hard work.
-----------------------------Cassie/Brigid and Harry Both sounds good to me.

Post by Emily Marsdon on Apr 23, 2012 16:41:12 GMT -5
-----------------------------Lily and Harry No worries, haha - she actually turned fifteen in November, so she's one of the older ones in her year, though you'd never think it. That's exactly how I always see Harry as a father! Lily will love him to bits and accidentally tell him all sorts of things Al and James don't really want him to know (and which he probably doesn't want to know). X-) Her hormones have kicked in, haha, she's just too shy to do anything about them, and she also has a kind of inferiority complex - she thinks she's nothing special in any way, and she doesn't really mind that most of the time, but she doesn't expect boys to like her... And loud people only intimidate her when they're not her family - she's so comfortable with her family that she doesn't mind them, and actually thinks it wouldn't be the same at all if they were quiet.
-----------------------------Angelina and Harry Aw, that makes me feel special, lol. Ang is quite good at keeping people grounded - she has a prankster husband, a prankster son and a romantic, daydreaming daughter, so someone has to be the practical one... Being a huge fail, I haven't really talked to Jane in depth about this, but I think Ang and Ginny would really get on, and after however many years of being sisters in law, would probably be super close, which given Angelina's long friendship with Harry, would extend to him too. I actually wrote about Harry and how Ang views their friendship in my app... And yes, Angelina can still kick ass on a broom, so she'll take part in this Quidditch match any time!
-----------------------------Louis and Harry Lol, I'm sure that could be arranged...
-----------------------------Dennis and Harry Exactly! Dennis would much appreciate the cigars and firewhisky to be honest, he's slightly bemused at being a father again, and he's concerned about what his teenage children are getting up to, because they never tell him anything. Lachlan more than Ella. He doesn't know how Harry stays so calm about it all...
Should maybe add this one in light of your conversation with Brooke about Teddy... -----------------------------Scorpius and Harry I sincerely doubt that these two have ever met, but they'll certainly know who each other are and may therefore have opinions on each other... Scorpius, just to catch you up, is a cool, sarcastic Slytherin who pretends not to care about much and has quite the nasty streak, and thinks that all Gryffindors are insane, although he can also be lovely when he wants to be. He's also best friends with Albus Potter (though he's currently not at all impressed with Albus, as he's just learned that Al screwed over Scorpius' little sister) and has been dating Roxanne Weasley for over a year now...

Hey Leander, I'm Ella! Lovely to meet you and I'm so so glad we have a Harry! -----------------------------harry and draco <DIV align=justify>well, these two are fairly self-explanatory, aha! childhood/teenage rivals. draco's different from how he was when they were younger in certain aspects - he's quieter, less smug, less likely to draw attention to himself, sort of tries to hide behind other people because in ways he hates being branded with the name malfoy - mainly because how the war turned out, and because now his family life is spectacularly falling to pieces with a wife in hospital and three children who he really can't seem to connect with at the moment and who each have their own problems. however, he's gotten even more unpleasant over the years - if possible! - and he's still got a sly, sneering streak and he wouldn't be at all pleasant to harry or...to be honest, he's not really pleasant to anyone anymore! he and harry work in the same department, however, so i daresay they'd have to run into each other? (:</DIV>
-----------------------------harry and dominique <DIV align=justify>well, dom's harry's niece and she's in albus' year, a gryffindor, and co-captain of the gryffindor quidditch team. dom is...ag. she's completely mad - the nickname 'insane weasley' has been given to her and as much as she protests against it, it's well suited to her. she's quite loud and brash and rebellious and self-important and she doesn't care about anything except for quidditch, especially not schoolwork, so she's often in trouble with professors. despite this, she's got a knack of getting people to like her because she's quite witty and fun and i think she'd like her uncle harry? she'd think him a bit of a boss, not going to lie!</DIV>
-----------------------------harry and callan <DIV align=justify>this is probably less likely than the others, but - callan's an auror, so he may know harry? dennis creevey's his boss, but callan's a very skilled auror and i daresay that he'd be known as being really good at his job? he's younger than harry - he's only thirty - but he's got a wife, ellen urqhuart, also an auror, and a daughter, eilidh, and another child on the way!</DIV>

Elo, love, I'm Riss! It's lovely to see you here and I LOVE Harry. Seriously. -----------------------------Hermione and Harry You have no idea how elated Hermione is to have her bestfriend back. She loves Ginny to bits, but Harry has always been her numero uno hombre. I don't think the relationship between these two has changed much over the years aside from growing stronger. I can imagine them getting together a lot just to do something muggle - like go to the cinema, or drive a car because they miss it. I think that they are also still there for each other through thick and thin, no matter what. Which brings me to the fact that Hermione is technically Harry's boss, but she'd never flex her power over him. But atm there's a big bad guy on the loose - Rabastan Lestrange, which has added stress onto the already over stressed Hermione (she's trying to deal with two hormonal teenagers; and she and Ron have had a few tiffs lately). So I think Harry would be there for her in that sense too. So best-friends still, ah? She keeps Harry grounded, he has her back? =]
-----------------------------Roxanne and Harry Roxanne thinks her Uncle is a BAMF and she'll tell anyone who will listen. He's a badass, and everyone needs to know it. She adores Harry, and as Becca said she is my little romantic dreamer. He may not approve of her running about with Scorpius Malfoy, but she loves him nonetheless. She probably writes him every now and then to say hello and to see how he's doing. And just for the record, although Roxanne is Ravenclaw quidditch captain, she'd like to opt out of a family quidditch match. Weasleys plays dirty whilst amongst their own kind and -- don't tell Angelina this, but --- she doesn't love quidditch like the rest of her family does. She also has the odd prankster streak every now and then and all the makings of a true Weasley woman with a topping of Johnson in there when it comes to her temper.
-----------------------------Rabastan Lestrange and Harry If he had an open shot at killing Harry Potter, he'd take it, even if it meant death for him. He absolute hates Harry, Hermione, Ron and basically anyone who fought against the DE's in the second War. He's currently on the loose from Azkaban and is just as dangerous, if not more.
I think that's it for right now, have to get back to my homework. Oh! And the Rabastan Lestrange thing, that's an admin open account, so I'm not the only one who plays him. =] EDIT: I have no idea what the coding is doing . . .

-----------------------------harry and chara okay, i'm only posting her here because of a) the teddy-malfoy situation and b) this is scorpius' little sister becca mentioned. xD the whole chara/albus is a bit complicated. ella (that's her nickname) can be quite naive and occasionally lives in a fairytale world, lol. because of the scorp/al friendship, she's known him for a while and they were friends as well. until she developed a massive crush on him. the got a bit closer and, after a series of events, she told him so and he said he reciprocated her feelings... and then he started ignoring/avoiding her. considering he was her first major crush and gave her the hope that there might be something between them, she now hates him. she'd very much like to hex his balls off.... oh, and she's also best friends with lucy! =D
-----------------------------harry and kale kale is the dear son of rabastan lestrange, though he's never met his father. (he was conceived in azkaban, lolwhut.) umm... based on the fact that kale's dad is now running around the wizarding world, i imagine that the ministry is interested to monitoring kale's moves/owls. i dunno if maybe he's been called in for a little chat about his dad or not? but i don't think the aurors would handle that... or maybe they would. but OH... callan's wife, ellen, is kale's cousin. =P
that's all i have for you...!

First of all, welcome to CASUISTRY*! We've met already in the cbox but I just thought I'd reintroduce myself - I'm Bree. :) -----------------------------harry and lucy okay, so, meet lucy! she's a fourth year slytherin, the only one of the bunch besides albus, and she's just this extremely angry sort of girl. she's also quite lonely and she blames everyone else for her issues. because of the fact that her parents are workaholics, she has problems letting people into her life and often ends up rejecting them... the fact that she hates most people probably doesn't help, haha. xP
she recently came out as 'absexual' to the rest of her family (gay for abby longbottom in lucy speak) but then abby kissed louis and there's been a falling out because of that and now lucy's not really speaking to either of them. but anyways! she sent out a mass letter telling her whole family she was kissing abby longbottom with tongue so harry would have probably gotten the memo since it was passed around the whole family. :)
ANYWAYS! (i am so sorry for that massive bunch of ramble) i'm not quite sure how harry and lucy would get along though lucy would probably respect him because he's so family-oriented, something she's never felt with her parents despite how hard they've tried.
-----------------------------harry and libby libby jordan is the wife of lee jordan, the 'aunt' of roxanne weasley and close friends with the george/angelina side of the weasley family so chances are she'd know harry. she was also in his year at school though he probably didn't know her too well considering, well, he was too busy saving the world and all. xP
she's still as madly in love with her husband as she was when she first met him so don't be surprised to see her getting all handsy and flirty with lee in front of anyone. :) she's laid-back and she's a 'cool mum' if that helps any. friends by associations, maybe? :)
-----------------------------harry and grace grace longbottom is the daughter of neville and hannah longbottom and she's a sweetheart. i'm not sure if the longbottom/potter family is as close now as they were in hogwarts but i think grace would get rather shy and blushing around harry because he's so well-known despite the fact that she would have known him as a kid, haha. :)

All sounds amazing to me <3 [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] -----------------------------abby and harry
OKay I thought I'd put this on since Bree mentioned both the LucyAbby dynamic and the Longbottom-Potter one. So this is Abby Longbottom, one of Neville and Hannah's youngest daughter (one of meaning she has a twin whom she hates) and she's a Slytherin and was best friend/girlfriend of Lucy Weasley until she went and cheated on her (bad Abby!) with Louis. So, apart from that little bit which will not amuse the Weasley-Potter gang, I think she has a certain amount of respect for Harry. Oh and she's also pretty close to Lily so she would've been around the Potter home multiple times during holidays, I think! [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

-----------------------------Lily/Angelina/Louis/Dennis and Harry I'm good on all of this, sounds great! Though if I can digress for a moment, Angelina is like a Molly Weasley in waiting. Both are forces to be reckoned with, both have crazy tempers, and both hold the family together. That's probably a weird odd notion , but there it is.
-----------------------------Scorpius and Harry Beyond being apprehensive about Albus's relationship with Scorpius, I doubt they have any reason to interact. While Harry understands and largely forgives his family of their sins, he's not going to be inviting them to tea and all that. Out of all his kids, I think he gives Albus the most space, which he's starting to regret now that he's hearing all this nonsense about him from Lily. He probably believes Albus befriended a Malfoy out of spite, haha! As for Roxanne, I bet he raised his eyebrows and looked at George and Angelina incredulously after hearing the news.
-----------------------------Draco and Harry 'Tense' should sum up their work relationship quite nicely. Harry doubts Draco has a courageous and righteous bone in his body, so now that all these Lestrange shenanigans are going down, I'm sure Draco will be/already has been questioned by Harry's department. Harry himself wouldn't do it, but he'd make it a point to look into the Malfoys. He doesn't believe Draco would ever act out in such a way on his own merit, but coercion was a big problem for the Malfoys back in the day. As far as sympathy goes, Harry has none for Draco.
-----------------------------Dominique and Harry Again I say, Weasley/Potter clan Quidditch matches FTW! Haha. Old Uncle Harry will shake his head at her low marks, but he isn't one to talk and he likes her all the same. I'm signing off on everything you said. *thumbs up*
-----------------------------Callan and Harry I think it's reasonable to say Harry knows everyone who works for/with him. It's likely Harry hired him, so he must've seen something special in Callan. That said, I'm not terribly certain a relationship (at least, not a close one) is possible during the off hours. I imagine they both just want to go home and spend time with their families after clocking out.
-----------------------------Hermione and Harry B'aw, after all the shit they went through, I feel like the Golden Trio have to just put up with each other whether they want to or not. Their bond is like, supernatural, and I doubt Harry would even know how to exist without them. That said, if Ron and Hermione weren't having 'tiffs', Harry would be worried. Lol. In any case, seems like they're working together to tie up some loose ends from their past...those deatheaters are nothing if not persistent. All of this is fantastic! BFFs!
-----------------------------Roxanne and Harry As with all his nieces and nephews (and even his own children sometimes) I think Harry is generally out of the loop. Whenever he does hear of all the intricacies of their lives, he is usually last to know. He might've made the time though to question her about Scorpius, as he might think he's taking advantage of her airiness (whilst secretly probing for more intel on the Malfoys). Beyond that, he doesn't concern himself with their lives...kids gotta learn the hard way. I think Dumbledore said that somewhere.
-----------------------------Rabastan and Harry A showdown must happen at some point. Might be interesting if Molly was made a target, considering what she did to his sister-in-law. Just an idea. I assume a mod will get in touch about what's all expected with Harry?
