How are you? How are your holidays so far? I hope they're going well - probably better than mine, ha.

I would have written you sooner, but I didn't know what to say. I still don't I guess I suck. I wish I could say that I've been busy, but I haven't been. Damien's actually been pretty cool so far. Except he won't off to see Devyn tonight. I was going to ask to go along, but no one wants their little sister tagging along. Right?

This is kind of awkward.

So, are you doing anything in the rest of the holidays? Maybe we could get together or something. I miss you. Shelly keeps going on about these things called films? I guess they're on a huge screen in a dark room and you eat popcorn. Have you ever been to one?

How are you? I'm okay. How are you? Things are kind of stressed around here - Mum got an owl from Eli so I think she fell out with her parents again so she's probably coming over. I don't really mind Eli, but I prefer Nate - mainly because Nate isn't an older version of Becky. it's actually really creepy What's up with yours? Your Mum acting spacey distant? Scorpius stayed at school, right?

You don't suck, Ells. I should have written too except I actually do suck as a person. Uh, I guess it depends on what they're doing. Probably not, though it may have been in the best interests of their continued lives if you had. 

This is so strange

Not as far as I know. That'd be really cool. Films? Mum's busy writing to Eli or I'd ask her and dad's being dad so he's useless but I don't think so. Maybe when I was little. I can't ever remember, anyway, but I've heard about them before. Quite probably from Shelly or Addy. It sounds really cool!

Oh, that's no good. I'm sorry to hear that. What is it with parents these days? Would it be possible for you to go over to Nate's house? But, seriously, the Eli/Becky thing... FREAKY. I feel like they're more suited to be sisters than cousins, and your and Nate are more suited to be brothers. My mum? I have no idea where she is, actually, and no one will tell me. So, sure, she's being distant. Scorpius stayed at the castle, yep - remind me to kick his arse when we get back?

Well. You're sweet. It's okay, I understand. But we're still friends, right? Nothing's changed too much? Oooh, you make it sound like they're up to something good! Which is more than I can say for me. I'm drinking wine when I ought not to be, and painting my nails. Fun stuff.

They do sound cool, don't they? I'm not sure it's the best thing to do, though, if neither of us have been. And I really don't want to invite someone else along... But maybe we should just give it a try? Be adventurous! We seem to be good at that.

I'm glad you're okay! And less glad that you're bored. (Marko, you idiot I just had to ask twice, in case… in case my handwriting was too illegible the first time.)

Maybe - he's probably stoned with Fritz, that mate of his, but maybe! Oh, thank Merlin, you see it too?! It scares me how much Becky is turning out like her - I don't think I could handle two Eli's… it'd be like if Voldemort had twin daughters okay slight exaggeration. Oh. That really sucks. Yeah, I'll remind you - you're probably the only person I know that could kick his arse.

Of course we're still friends. Everything's No, nothing's changed. If good is synonymous with illegal, they probably are! Oh, um, that sounds… interesting? I'm sorry, I don't know anything at all much about the ancient art of painting your nails. 

They really do. I reckon we could do it - what's the worst that could happen, really? We've faced a PMS-ing Lucy Weasley and other stuff that's even scarier, I think we can handle a muggle cinema. Only thing is, would you be allowed to go?

Dashing Markoooo,

It's okay. I'm a little tipsy right now, so I'm finding myself less bored. You don't need to be sad for me. I'm throwing bread at the peacocks. They don't look too assumed, but they're ignoring me mostly. Thank Merlin they're not geese, yeah? Or else I'd probably have been pecked to death by now. Oh, there's a new baby peacock! What should we call him? He can be ours.

Oh yeah, Fritz. He's in Dao's year. I don't know if they're friends or not. But, really? I had no idea Nate was friends with him! I can see it, though. They both like being high. Has Nate ever given you any before? Don't lie to me!

Eli's... well, I don't know her too well. But what I'm thinking is that there are two Becky's about - that's scary enough! You have batshit crazy women in your family. (Look who's talking, ha ha.) Aw, thanks! I take that as a compliment. I'm telling him you said that. He'd better watch out.

Okay, good. Speaking of being friends, there's something I need to ask you. But I shouldn't do it through owl because... well, I just shouldn't, okay? Can we sit together on the train back to school? (That's not what I need to ask you, by the way.) If good is synonymous with illegal... you make that sound really intriguing. We'll have to come up with our own illegal fun, yeah? It's okay, Marko; it's sweet of you, but you don't have to pretend to be interested in nail painting.

I think we can do it, too! I mean, we'll just do what the people in front of us do. And of course I'll be allowed to go. I'll just tell which ever adult who happens to be around that I'm going over to your place to study, or work on some project. Then we can go! I'm so excited!

Oh shit. My grandmother is calling me. It's possible she found the half-gone wine bottle I may or may not have left on the dining room table... Oops. I may not be allowed out after all.
