When she was around four, Eli's first sign of magic manifested. As mentioned prior, Eli was a very spoiled child, even after her brother, and then her sister were born - she still got what she wanted. Once though, her father denied her. Little Eli had asked - well demanded - that her mother and father purchase her a puppy. Her father, who has an allergy to dogs, told the abrasive six year old no. No not being an answer she was acclimated to, the Eli screamed her head off. In the process she exploded a nearby fish tank, filled with exotic fish. Thirty-six galleons of water rushed out onto the ground, along with some very expensive fish. Long story short, Eli got what she wanted, which did back fire when her puppy bit her (resulting in Eli's fear of most dogs).
The next five years went off without a hitch. A few sibling fights and muggle school, but that was about it. She received her letter for Hogwarts at eleven, and was soon sorted into Slytherin House. Little Eli blossomed under the care of Slytherin and soon found herself sky-rocketing to the top of her class. She had competition however in the form of one Rose Weasley and one Roxanne Weasley, which led her to cheat a few times on tests, just so she could make the grades. It wasn't that she didn't know her work, but rather that in order to be the best, she had to be secure in her knowledge, even if that meant stealing a test or two from the desks of Professor Powell and then Professor Weasley. Eli saw it as her professors faults for being so daft that they forgot to lock their desk drawers.
Her OWLS went pretty well, too. As she'd spent the majority of her fourth year, and all of her fifth preparing for them. She received all O's, and this time without cheating. In honor of her good grades, her parents purchased her a muggle care, an American muggle car: "dodge avenger". Since her mum was a muggle-born, she taught Eli how to drive, and the rush of being behind such a big machine gaze Eli and intoxicating high. The same summer she got her car, she also found herself a boyfriend.
Eli had never been the prettiest girl (even if she was the best dressed), but during the summer of 2022, she met Caleb - her first boyfriend - at a party. She'd gone to a bonfire with a few friends, just outside the outskirts of London in Guildford, Surrey. Even though she didn't have her license and had never driven without a parent at that time, she took herself and her friends. While there, Eli had a couple of drinks, but other than that, the party hadn't been that great. She was preparing to leave, her friends wanted to stay, and made it half way to her car and literally collided with someone. The bag she had slung over her shoulder spilled out onto the ground and she bent down to pick up her things when he started to help her.
His name was Caleb, and he'd gone to the party with a few friends too. Like Eli, things had become all too boring for the tall blonde boy with twinkling blue eyes, and smile to die for. After the entire contents of Eli's bag had been returned it's rightful place, the two exchanged names and information and soon they were inseparable. There was only one issue, Caleb was 19, and had already finished school; Eli had just turned 16, and finished her fifth year. So Eli opted not to tell her parents about her new boyfriend, especially after she'd found out that he had a bit of a reputation as being a wild kid. They ran around the majority of the summer months together, learning more about one another and Eli found herself falling head over heels for Caleb, even though she would never admit it out loud to anyone, ever.
One day, after her parents had gone out, Eli invited Caleb back to her house, just to spend some time together. Eli showed Caleb her house, her things, her car . . . long story short, they went back up to her room and began to fool around a bit. Her parents returned right at that moment and had gone up stairs to check on Eli and to show her the new seat covers they purchased for her car. They found Eli and Caleb - who had done nothing really other than snogging, though Eli isn't sure how far she would have gone that day had her parents never came home. The situation escalated and Caleb took off, Eli was told she would never see that boy again by both her mum and dad.
She's been secretly seeing him still. The only person who knows is her Aunt Kate - whom she tells everything too. She finds her aunt to be more tolerable than her mother and less stifling. Kate helps Eli see Caleb every now and then.
