Will had never, previous to that day, gone grocery shopping in his life. But now that he was living in Jade's apartment, he felt he had a massive debt to her and therefore, when the fact that the fridge needed restocking was pointed out was brought up that morning, Will had offered his services and attempted to make it seem that he was a pro at grocery shopping. He had to give his mum serious credit for it, though - once he had made it to the shop he kept getting distracted by all the tempting-looking displays and had to force himself to focus multiple times, peering down at the small list in his hands and wandering around with a lost-sheep-like expression on his face.
Anyways, after the grocery shopping experience, he'd decided to pay a call to Flourish and Blotts, the bookshop, laden down with groceries, because he had decided it was high time he actually got a charms book (he'd forgotten to at the start of the year and tried to distract Professor Merryweather every time he got anywhere close to him in the hopes he wouldn't notice. His attempts were futile, however; everyone noticed), seeing as his NEWTs were looming ominously in the not-so-distant future. Sauntering into the shop, bags swinging and bottles in it clinking alarmingly, he double-took when he saw that French bird who didn't like Neil right in front of him. She was turned away a little, and didn't appear to notice him. Smile full of mischief, Will came closer to her as quietly as possible, stopping right behind her. Quick as wink, he hooked a tendril of hair around her ear and shouted, "Boo!" right into it, disregarding the reproachful look the shop assistant shot him.
