Elsie, you gorgeous thing,
Did you happen to borrow that stunning red dress of mine and never give it back and is it stuck in the back of your cupboard? Because I need it back quite, quite urgently, I'm going on a date this weekend and that dress is literally the only thing that will do. So do attempt to find it and get it back to me asap, please and thank you!
Also, I haven't seen you in what has obviously been far too long and I think a girl's night in is in order. I mean, girl's night in is a bit fourteen-year-old-ish, but I don't know, I do believe that everyone needs some chocolate and nail varnish to keep them sane. Come and see me soon regardless of the chocolate and nail varnish - and if you don't come of your own accord I'll swan into Hogwarts and club you over your gorgeous head and drag you to my flat by your hair. Out of love. And it will be serious love, because I'll probably have to venture to the Hospital Wing to see you and I hate that Hospital Wing. Don't you think it smells like feet?
Loads of love (and don't forget the dress!),
Lids.

Lidia.
Sometimes - and by that I actually mean most of the time - I'm convinced you're a full-on nutter. You own like, a billion dresses. But yeah, I have the red one, and it's clean! I never ended up wearing it for some reason. WHO IS THE DATE WITH? I WANT ALL THE DETAILS, OKAY? I'm reduced to living vicariously through you at the minute, make it interesting for me!
Urgh. Don't talk to me about fourteen year old girls. But a fourteen-year-old-girl-style-meet-up, on the other hand, sounds brilliant! I miss your stupid face!
My hospital wing does not smell like feet - take that back immediately, Fairchild! It is antiseptic, and clean, and sterile and not feet-smelling. If I have to stay here 'til you come and drag me out to get you to admit that, I will do. Just so you know.
Lots of love, Els xxx
PS - I've wrapped the dress up in a parcel and sent it to you with some of the school owls - they're a bit slower than this baby one, but more reliable!
