I thought it was a while since you'd had a letter from me. How are you doing? Sorry I've not been too good at writing, but as you can imagine, there's a lot to do this end at the moment, what with the baby due soon, and things being busy at work. Your mum says to pass on her love - she's sorry not to be writing herself, but she was up half the night and now she's going back to bed for a nap, as Baby seems to have stopped kicking for a bit.
We're looking forward to seeing you both at Easter, and hopefully we'll have the new arrival by that stage. I was talking to Lachlan about plans for Easter - obviously we can't really go away anywhere, but it would be nice to spend some time as a family. What do you say?
I hope everything's going well for you.
Love,
Dad

Dear Dad,
I've been fine, thanks - it's so nice of you to write me, though I don't really have a lot I can to tell you. I'm doing okay at school, my friends are fine. That's about it really.
How's the pregnancy planning going? How's Mum? She seemed a bit off in her last letter, so I'm hoping she's okay. Have you guys started the nursery yet? Do you know the exact due date for the baby? Lachlan and I have been a bit slack with the dates. Speaking of, I really hope you've discarded some of his more... unusual suggestions for baby names. Oh! Have you thought of any yet?
Give Mum my love, and tell her I hope she's feeling better soon, please. At least Baby is alive and well, right?
I can't actually remember when our Easter break is, the term's gone by so fast. Urgh, that means exams are getting closer. I'd love to spend time together as a family, though! Anything in particular you had in mind for us to do together?
Oh, and while I remember - would it be okay for Danni to come over for one of the days? I haven't asked her yet in case there's an issue with Mum, but please? I went over to hers over the summer, and I feel kind of bad that she never comes over to ours. It's okay if we can't now, though.
I hope work gets better for you soon, and that you're feeling okay!
Love,
Ella

((OOC - I made a random due date up - I hope that's okay, lol))
Dear Ella,
Well, that's good. That you're fine, I mean. I feel like there's more I should ask you about your life, but I have no idea what you do with yourself when you're at school
Your Mum's pretty tired, but otherwise she's okay. She says she just wants it to be over now (I'm assuming she means her pregnancy, not her life). I tried telling her that being pregnant again at her age is a pretty special experience, and she should savour it because chances are it won't happen again, but that was the wrong thing to say, because she threw a plate at me - I'm putting it down to hormones. The nursery's all ready - we've painted it yellow, because your mum says it makes her think of sunshine. Still undecided on names. I don't think I've heard Lachlan's suggestions - I'll have to ask him.
Oh, and the due date is the 30th of March. I'm not sure if you're on holiday then. I'll have to ask your mum, she probably knows. What's the betting it comes two days late and arrives on April Fool's Day?
I think we'll have to play Easter by ear - don't forget we'll have a very new baby to think about. But I'm sure Danni can come over at some point, and is there anything special you want to do?
I'm feeling great, although I don't think work will get any less hectic until we catch Lestrange. It's not too bad really though.
Love, Dad

Dear Dad,
I'm glad Mum's feeling okay, that's always good. Has the baby gotten checked out, to see if there's anything wrong? because I was reading up on older pregnancies the other day and there's so much that can screw up The due date's close, though, so it looks like she'll be getting her wish soon enough (going on your assumption, which is probably right because Mum would get annoyed with being dead after a while).
Yeah, the plate throwing is because of hormones, not her temper Are you okay? Mum's always had a bit of a temper, and like you said, the hormones can't be helping. Hopefully by the time the baby comes, we'll still have most of our crockery.
Oh, that sounds so pretty! And yellow is unisex too - I keep forgetting to ask, do you know the sex of the baby? And I'm sure Baby will be very happy in their pretty bedroom.
I wouldn't ask him
I don't know either, so with a bit of luck we'll be on holiday then or soon after, so we can see the baby. Did you ask Mum if she knows? That would be kind of cute, though, is they were born on April Fools - they could take advantage of the fact that one is always right on their birthday, and combine it with the fun of April Fools. Just as long as I'm not there on that day... ;]
That's fine, Dad, I get it! I might just go out with her somewhere, then, and give you and Mum some peace. Whatever you come up with will be fine, though; it'll just be nice to spend time with the four (soon to be five!) of us.
Lestrange is still on the loose? That's so creepy - good luck with catching him, Dad! Just drink lots of coffee, I guess, everyone says that it helps you stay awake, and then everything doesn't suck so much.
Love, Ella
ooc: lol, that's fine - neither me or hope kept track of the due date, so ;]

Dear Ella,
Don't worry, love, they've done all the usual checks, and a few extra ones because of Mum being a bit older than the average - although it's only really a much bigger risk if you're having your first baby at an older age - your mum's done it all before so we should be fine. Not that she's really that old of course. Anyway, all the tests came back fine, so it looks like we've got an ordinary healthy baby.
No, we don't know the sex. We decided that as we'd already got one of each, we really didn't care what the third one was, so we'd keep it as a nice surprise. Hence the yellow bedroom.
You never told me Lach's name suggestions - I suppose I can always ask him myself. Haveu you got any yourself? We want you two to have a say as well - it's your baby brother or sister after all. Personally, I've got into the habi of calling it the froglet, ane I feel like that'll be a hard habit to break...
I forgot to ask your mum and she's sleeping again right now (it's the middle of the night, so that's not really surprising). But your holidays must start somewhere around then. And I'm sure if it's born on April Fool's day, your brother will be happy to teach it to make the most of it. Talking of your brother, have you seen him recently? I'm a bit worried about him, he hasn't written for a while.
Well, whatever you want to do, sweetheart. Danni's welcome to come round at some point though. And we'll organise something for sure - I've told Lachlan he has to save some space for us in his busy social calender!
Oh, I'm sure we'll catch him soon - he can't hide forever. You don't need to worry about it. And don't worry about me either, I'm alright. Drinking lots of coffee as per Doctor Ella's orders...
Love, Dad
