Personality: Cass is quite sarcastic and has a rather biting wit. She's very sweet, provided you haven't annoyed her. When she loses her temper, she tends to have a very sharp tongue and has been known to hex people/objects that aggravate her and/or throw things at them e.g. A towel or lamp. She is loyal, almost to a fault and she loves reading fiction. She has a low attention span if she isn't interested in what is happening; she HATES learning about goblin history because of this. She loves animals and is an avid quidditch player. If there was ever any need for a chaser (her preferred position) or a seeker (second favourite), she would be all too willing to volunteer. She is bright and takes to things (spells etc) easily, preceding Charms to Transfiguration (movement versus subtlety :D). She can be diplomatic and subtle, however she is more likely to act on impulse and can come across as rather blunt. She is very inquisitive and curious; she is quite good at reading people - kinda like a Legilimens but with reactions etc. Like Emotional Intelligence, if you know what that is. She is sane, but even though she seems so confident-and-not-scared-of-anything, she has some fears deep down. She is terrified of fireman's poles (she doesn't trust herself not to fall off the muggle contraption), and she has a secret fear of dementors (her mother told her how they were during the hunt for Sirius Black and the Second Wizarding War) and Inferi. However, her two deepest, buried down fears are not being good enough - she is insecure, no matter how untouchable she seems - and falling in love. She seems a cynic because it's her way of hiding. She's terrified of falling for someone so completely that you care about them more than yourself, she's scared of another person knowing her deepest, darkest secrets and she frightened out of her wits at the thought of loving someone so much that they can control you, or others can control you by hurting them. She needs someone to teach her that it's better to risk putting your heart on the line, than to stay indifferent forever. She can see thestrals because she was there when her granddad had a heart attack. She is a good writer, but her stories and poems often have a touch of angst or morbidness. Despite this, she is a relatively bubbly person, even if she is a cynic with great appreciation for irony. She is rather disorganized, however she always manages to hand things in on time, even though she's been pulling all nighters since first year. She likes a little bit of mess and can't function without hearing music at least once a day. She always does her homework while listening to music. She has a slightly wicked but very good natured sense of humour and adores babies of any sort, be it a puppy, unicorn foal or human. She has only ever kissed 2 boys, but she prefers not to think about those - one was a Spin the Bottle dare, the other when she was little and she kissed the little boy next door. She's saving her first real kiss for someone special.
Likes: Animals, Honeydukes candy - especially chocolate! Dislikes: Perfectly clean stuff (she's a clean-o-phobic), licorice, cherries, mosquitoes, annoying insects, stupid questions, the colour pink, Celestina Warbeck, airplanes (what's the point of flying if you can't feel the wind in your hair?), Floo powder, dresses and girls who cake their faces in make up and act stupid so guys will notice them.
Strengths: She has a wicked sense of humour, an infectious laugh, her flying skills, and her spellwork. She is very good at Charms and DADA. She is also very loyal and is great at cheering people up, she nearly always knows the right thing to say. She is also very honest; almost brutally. However, she would lie (very well too) if her instincts told her to.

She can be VERY loud (you should hear her lungs when yelling!) but when she wants to she will refuse to say anything (good for when keeping secrets - annoying for everyone else). Her Aunt Laurel is the local librarian/historian of the town, and she is very knowledgeable about William Shakespeare, and ancient Muggle perceptions of magic. Cass writes to her on a nearly weekly basis. She went to muggle primary school up until her first year at Hogwarts; however she has always known her mother was a witch. Her English accent isn’t incredibly strong, and she has very faint traces of an American accent (Massachusetts, to be specific) when she speaks. It is more pronounced on certain words. This is a souvenir from when she lived in Massachusetts. She lived in the States for a year when she was six. She speaks small amounts of Spanish and is fairly fluent in French.
Roleplay sample: Cass mustered up all her happy thoughts before saying, "Expecto Patronum!" She watched, defeated as a silver wisp floated out of her wand before disappearing. Will I never get this right? She thought to herself despairingly. Come on Cass, she thought, think happy thoughts. Like blowing up that irritating Hufflepuff's potion the next time he asks you out. Or maybe spending a day with a dragon. She smiled, and said clearly, "Expecto Patronum!"
She watched, awed, as the silver wisp finally took form...
