William Archer! icon cred to spock @ livejournal so, this is my new baby, will/billy/archer/whatever you want to call him as long as it makes sense. he's a party animal, always up for the laugh, pretty destructive and pretty wild. he's mellowed down considerably this year, however, but he still can't quite control himself, especially when he's feeling down. only this summer he's been kicked out of his stepdad's house and is currently living with his best friend neil and neil's sister jade, both of whom he adores and is forever in debt to. while he's had years of experience of running away from things and being angry at the world in general, he's determined to be a stronger character these days, and no-one can say he's not brave. he won't always be the nicest guy on the block, but he does believe he's decent, and won't let anyone tell him otherwise. Friends! icon cred to spock @ livejournal will tries to live by the whole "if you're nice to me, i'll be nice to you" rule, but he struggles with it. however, the boy's like marmite - you either love 'im or you hate 'im. in previous years, he's been one of the biggest party animals in the school - and still is, really - and is always buzzing, bounding around and tackling people and joking loudly and in a pretty vulgar fashion. however, he's a genuinely good friend, and will always show it. if he loves you, he'll be totally upfront about it, and if you need him, although he won't be all touchy-feely about it, he'll be there for you. and if anyone touches his mates, they're dead. also, if you've done him a good turn, he'll never forget it. will's a really huge supporter of girl/guy friendships as well - he does not under any circumstances see girls as purely sex objects. unless a girl comes onto him, he'll just be her friend, although he's great at fake-flirting and will quite happily waggle his eyebrows and lick his lips in a pantomime of coming on to someone. and he doesn't just make friends with people who are into partying, like him - whether you're young or old, male or female, shy or outgoing, cool or weird, he'll nine of ten times like you you're cool to him. Enemies! icon cred to spock @ livejournal ooh, will may have a lot of these. although, as i've said, he's mellowed quite a wee bit and he's determined to be a stronger person, and he likes people who are cool to him, if you're even a little bit not-cool to him, he'll generally flip his shit. he's gotten better these past few years - even though he's still been known to strike people, his friends and thoughts of his brother and sister manage to mostly keep him stable. he has a huge thing against snobby people though, i'm afraid, and kind of feels that all rich people automatically look down on him. he's dreadfully insecure about feeling inferior and if he feels inferior the best way to get it out of his system is by hitting someone/something. so he may not actively be fighting with someone now but i daresay quite a few people will hold grudges? Lovers! icon cred to spock @ livejournal you could call will a ladies' man, and i suppose he is, but not in the way guys usually are. the whole chasing skirts thing? will isn't really into that. all his life, he's had girls approaching him instead of the other way around. i'm not saying he's hard to get - if a girl starts flirting with him, he'll respond enthusiastically - but he never really seems to initiate it. and that's a part of his attractiveness - he's got the bad-boy image down and it's almost as though he's unattainable. he also really hates how people think that whether or not you have your tongue stuffed down someone's throat should be a huge part of your life. he thinks there's way more to life than love and sex, and while he really does enjoy sex, girls always come so willingly to him that he's never really been one to yearn for it. another thing - he doesn't believe in pretending that a girl is more to him than she is. yes, he'll compliment her truthfully, and he'll be fun and see to it she's treated well and has a nice night, but he won't act as though it's not more than a one-night stand - he doesn't really get when guys do that. why not just find a girl who only wants a one-night stand as opposed to lying to a girl who wants something more? anyways, i'm sure will has been with quite a few girlies during his time at hogwarts, varying in house and sometimes year as he doesn't discriminate! he doesn't go much younger though, obviously. |

Hm, well I've been thinking about my various characters and here's what I've come up with:
JAKE: i think we've talked about these two being friends. jake was the year above him at school, and they come from similar worlds at home, so they'd understand where each are coming from pretty well, in a way that a lot of people at hogwarts wouldn't. jake is a very laid back, chilled guy (so long as you don't hurt someone close to him) so he wouldn't have provoked will really. i can see these two getting on pretty well...
ANGUS: is the same year as will, but so totally different, i dunno how they'd hit it off... angus is the quintessential nice guy, good listener, wouldn't hurt a fly...
SCORPIUS: the same house, just one year apart, but i think they'd avoid each other. scorpius isn't really a snob, but he doesn't like people who can't control themselves, and he avoids them if he can, so he'd see will as someone just to be sidestepped when possible. and he comes from a rich family, so i'm guessing will would distrust him too...
JO: interestingly, i can see these two being good friends. like jake, she'd understand a bit of the world he comes from because she used to live in it, and she also has a dad who abandoned the family. she's the kind of girl who is more mates with the guys than anything, because she doesn't flirt or have one night stands, and she'll tend to just roll her eyes at their shit- she isn't shocked or fazed by much... she's also a really good listener though, and is good at giving advice and calming people down just be being straight with them and down to earth - for all she seems sweet and quiet, she tends to tell it like it is, doesn't take bullshit, and will call people out if she thinks they're out of line. she is also a big believer in guys and girls being able to be friends and nothing more, so i feel like they could actually be really tight...
I can't see any of the others knowing him, unless he met Becky in the common room some time, lol.

Bella is what comes to the forefront of my mind right now, though Cassie and Kieran would quite plausibly know him too (Marko's probably just slightly afraid of him).
Anyway so Neil is one of Bella's best mates, and as Will is his best friend, they've probably been exposed to each other out of class as well (and out of common room). She was really into the party scene but toned down a bit in her sixth year. She's currently Head Girl but doesn't really give a fuck if her friends are breaking rules as long as they're not endangering anyone so that front should be okay.
Basically, I reckon she'd get along quite well with him, though she'd probably be quite prone to bickering lightly with him as well as informing him he's a dick, but she'd be quite protective of him as well (even if he doesn't need it). But whatever, feel free to agree or disagree! But yeah, I reckon good friends that bicker and possibly casual hook-ups at parties. Idk

yes, we talked about these two being friends! i think will would really appreciate jake coming from the same sort of background as him, although he'd never really say it that much. i think he'd respect jake - he'd treat him much the same as his other friends, but the respect would be there. also he wouldn't judge jake for anything 'cause will's done some pretty shitty things and he's trying to fix that. perhaps will could write to him? idk, i would love it if these two were good friends, aha, i think it'd be dead sweet! like i said, will doesn't just like partying, loud guys to be his friends - he can take to any sort of person. he'd prolly tease angus and get him in headlocks as much as he could and stuff, but idk, i think there's potential for them to be quite good friends? and he could count angus close enough to chill with him playing guitar, which he doesn't do with most people. only if you want, though! i don't think will would like scorpius at all. i think everything about scorpius would just really aggravate will tbh. he wouldn't realise that scorpius is actually a decent person - he'd see him as snobby and snarky and patronising and with the addition of scorpius being rich, he'd prolly count him as a right twat, aha. he doesn't like seb, either. but if scorpius avoids him, he doesn't have much reason to think of him and therefore wouldn't have a go at him unless scorpius said something/looked at him in the wrong way/said something to one of his mates. I WOULD LOVE THESE TWO TO BE FRIENDS!! xD I love Jo, aha. I can imagine Will just like carting her all around the place and she'd be like one of his favourite girls and he'd be like "yeah this is jo she's awesome if you don't like her gtfo." And if he was in a rage, I think she'd be really capable, and that's what he needs - people who are capable. He needs a mummy tbqh.  Not saying that Jo should be his mummy or anything, aha, but yeah, I think she'd be able to take care of herself and if he got out of line she'd be able to get him to calm the fuck down for most of the part. And he'd prolly feel free to talk to her about anything, especially if he was upset? Because he's generally pretty upfront with his emotions, and when he gets a letter from his mum or something it really gets to him, so he sometimes just needs someone to sit and listen to him while he talks himself around in circles. your PMs are the best though Ahaaa, Will will have so much fun with Bella! I think they'd be one of those sort of friends - the friends who don't really act like they're friends but they are at the end of the day and yeah. He'd prolly fake-flirt with her sometimes, if there's a chance of winding her up, and try and get her to break the rules and be all non-headgirly. And I'd love it if she was protective of him! Like I said, he needs a mummy and idk, I think he sort of needs people to be protective of him. Because he's a bit of an eejit ngl. And casual hook-ups and good friends sounds great! |

JAKE: all this sounds great! jake would think will was a sound kid, and see him as a bit like a little brother, i think. as such, i think he might actually be hesitant about letting will (and neil) see the shit he's got into, because he quite likes being the tough older brother who never lets anything bother him, if that makes sense? he'd love a letter though! ANGUS: lol, angus needs a friend like that to toughen him up. though if any of my characters is a born mother, it's angus... that's great, actually, because will really misses josh so i'd imagine him sort of substituting jake for josh unconsciously. xP great, could i have will write a letter now and you can get to it whenever? will's not very fabbity fab at writing so his letter might be quite short and sort of brash and shit, but...letter-writing just isn't his forte, basically. xD
angus can try and mother him, but will will prolly just laugh at him and start tacking him or something. wouldn't say no to angus' cooking, though!
yeah, i think will would really only see that side of scorpius. but, tbqh, he doesn't really have any reason to look for something to like about scorpius! he'd be resentful because scorpius is rich, and while he could get over him being rich if he thought he was a sound bloke, he'd just see the arrogance and scorpius being a prick and he wouldn't be fucked to give him the time of day. and he'd jump to conclusions - he'd think that scorpius fancied himself better because he was a malfoy and rich and shit, and that would make him dislike scorpius all the more. so yeah. but, seeing as they avoid each other, unless scorpius provokes him, will's not going to punch him.
nah - will's not one of those annoying, smotheringly protective guys. if someone fucked with jo, then yeah, he'd hunt them down and get all up in their faces, but, with everyone he loves, he lets them take care of themselves most of the time. until he deems they need him. and he def would understand, even though he's not great with words so he may not be able to show it! a lot of the time he just says "bummer" when people tell him something sad but it's because he honestly can't say anything else, lol. yes, i'd love a thread between them! could you please start? /fluttery eyelashes

Sorry about the double post before, haha. My phone does this sometimes. I don't really need to write a whole lot out, because I think these relationships all sound great! angus will see will like another, less slutty, bow and will therefore not give up on him, however hopeless the case. scorpius will return the dislike, because he just doesn't like people who act the way wil acts, and he also doesn't like people who make judgements based on assumptions about him, which is ironic because their judgements are often right an he knows it... in that case, jo will probably count him one of her closest friends, because he gets where she's coming from. i'll start a will/jo if you start a will/jake, lol. but it might be tomorrow, 'cause i'm heading to bed soon |
