I'm just writing to tell you that I miss you. I know it's only been a few months. Do you reckon we could do something special the next time I'm home? I realize that it's a while off, but I thought I'd ask way in advance in case you need to tell your boss or something.

Work is not boring tiring fine. There's a lot to do at the moment so I'm quite busy.

I miss you too Yes, we can do something together when you get home, although, as you said, it's probably best to plan in advance so that we can make sure it's possible and pick a suitable day. I'm sure I can get a few hours off to spend with you. What were you planning on doing?

You're always busy at work. Don't you ever catch a break? Maybe you should consider transferring to the French Ministry of Magic (is that allowed?). France cares about their workers' health and well-being.

What does that mean - 'suitable day'? I didn't have anything in mind, right now. (I'm not going to suggest shopping, don't worry.) But, the first thing that came to my mind was that maybe we could go to dinner and see a show. That's a nice father-daughter thing to do, right? We could go somewhere in Europe! Like Prague or Venice or Vienna. Or maybe even Russia, like St. Petersburg or Oslo or Moscow.

Well, that's the point of work. It wouldn't be much of a job if I didn't have any work to do. I wish I didn't have any work to do If I went to France, I presume I'd have the same amount of work and see all of you less.

A day when I am not working, not busy, not tied up with something. Dinner and a show, then. Fine. Somewhere in Europe? I don't We'll see.

I'm not saying you shouldn't have to work - obviously you do and else it would be called 'fun' or 'lazy' or something. All I'm saying is that you work a LOT. Maybe, but I hear they like to strike. You never see I reckon that's true.

Oh. That kind of day. So, basically a weekend day? That's fine with me. Please, Daddy, can we go to Europe? It'll be so much fun! Mum can come, too, if you want her to. I think that might be nice. How is she, by the way? I should probably write her....

It's the same here as it is in France. Except they speak French. And yes, I work a lot, but I'm in an important Department and we've got a lot to do at the moment. And I have no reason to go on strike. People who do are simply attention-seeking.

We'll see if we can go to Europe sometime. On a Saturday, perhaps. We may have to stay in the country, though.

Mum's not feeling quite well. I don't think she's up to writing letters at the moment. She sends her regards, however.

French is pretty, though. All I'm saying is that you always have a lot to do. But you're right; you work in an important department. So it's expected. You don't really have a reason to go on strike, though, do you?

Why would we have to stay in the country? I'm not complaining; I just really want to go to Europe at some point, if it's possible.

It's quite nice, yes. And we all have a lot of work to do in this Department. In the entire Ministry. We're keeping the entire Wizarding World running and I wish I wasn't it feels like I'm paying off a debt. Your Uncle Theo works just as much as I do. And no, I don't. It's quite a good Department I hate it.

I suppose we could go to Vienna or Prague someday. Maybe not soon, but someday. When you're older. During the summer, perhaps. Or you could just get Sccorpius to bring you. He's of age now, isn't he? Or perhaps if when your mother's better, she'll bring you. I'm not such a fan of going abroad.

I know. You have a very important job. It's been drilled into I know Uncle Theo works just as much. But at he still has time for Chloe and Seb. It's good you like your job.

Someday? I guess it's better than never. Not that I believe you. I really hope we can go in the summer. Dad, I don't want to go with Scorpius. I mean, he lots of fun and all, but... You can't even go abroad for one day?

How has your schoolwork been going, by the way? Your mother and I have been very pleased at your grades so far. Anything troubling you?

Vienna's quite nice. So we may go there. And I thought you'd prefer going with your brother. Especially seeing as he's moving out, apparently, so we'll all probably see less of him because I doubt he'll visit that much anyways.

If you're pleased with my grades, than why do you have to ask how my schoolwork is going? But it's fine, really. Everything is going really well. I think I have a chance at becoming Prefect next year! I really hope it happens. And, no, nothing is troubling me. Thanks for asking, though.

I would love to go to Vienna! I mean, I would like to go with Scorpius, but we have time. I'm only going to be young for so long - and I want to go with you. Plus, Scorp said I can visit him after he moves out.
