Yes, Liv did! She was a Ravenclaw, but her sister was a Gryffindor, so she knew a few people from the gryffindor house. Perhaps she tutored him in school, and they were kind of tenative friends, but not really because she tried to keep professional, but maybe - like you said - since she did spend time in Paris - they ran into each other there, and hit it off as buds? Liv needs more friends . . . hahaha.
