DISTINGUISHING FEATURES:
SKIN TONE: He's fairly pale. He doesn't tan and he doesn't freckle. He's basically fair year around.
I WALK THIS EMPTY STREET
Personality
DISLIKES: being ordered what to do, being treated as an inferior, people recognising him and treating him badly/differently because he's a Malfoy, his strained relationship with his children, his strained relationship with his wife, having to think about the war, having to face up to problems at home, working (although he pretends he doesn't), not being treated better because he's a pureblood, people he knew from school, Transfiguration, ketchup, people feeling sorry for him and yet he's not too big a fan of people pitying him either,
LIKES: being superior to people, his wife and children, being wealthy, conveniently forgetting about the past, people loving/respecting him, people listening to him, peaches,
BAD HABITS: if he really doesn't want to do something, he'll avoid it at all costs. This means if he doesn't want to deal with his parents/wife/kids, he'll just sit in his office pretending he has work to do. He gets so used to pretending things haven't happened/ignoring people or things that he convinces himself they haven't happened or they don't matter. He can see himself superior to other people and although he's less vocal about it these days he'd still be capable of victimizing people.
GOOD HABITS: now that he's a father he's become good at handling money and although he's prepared to splash out on his kids if it means not having to actually pay attention to them in the right way, he's still good at saving, etcetera. He's tried to make sure his children never have to make the choices he'd had to make -- and he's tried to make them good people. He also really wants them to get good jobs. His main interest is his children, he's just really crap at showing it.
WEAKNESSES: conveying emotions such as love. He's extremely bad at that. He feels he's better than other people a lot and often grows bitter towards people, making few friends. He has never really thought properly about the war, and what truly happened, and whether he was right or wrong or what side he was really on. He's notoriously lazy -- he's gotten better in recent years, but still. He was so used to getting everything he wanted when younger that it was sort of a habit by the time he grew up. His relationship with his children has gotten steadily worse over the years and he just can't fix it. He's a coward.
STRENGTHS: he loves his family. He's good at his job, although he doesn't like it, rarely gets on with his colleagues and merely uses it as an escape from other unpleasant things. He can be well-mannered when he wants to be.
PERSONALITY: Draco grew up smug and bullying and generally got what he want as a child. Through school, he often victimised and taunted other students, and although he's not quite the same person as he used to be, he still has a few of these traits, but they've sort of disappeared as he's become decidedly more reserved throughout his adult life. As opposed to being smug and immature, he's cold, quiet and closed off, rarely speaking to strangers or colleagues and when he's forced to he's often aloof to the point of being rude.
Draco still feels superior to others due to his wealth and heritage, but at the same time he doesn't like people knowing who he is as he often finds himself shunned due to his and his family's part in the war. At the moment, he'd prefer to remain anonymous than be talked/whispered about, which he knows he often is. He's made a lot of mistakes in the past, and although Draco's bad, he's not evil -- he may be something of a coward and grew up a bully, but he was never anything worse than that.
Draco's highly ambitious and likes to prove himself. It doesn't often show nowadays but he does like to be the best and he holds that small shred of pride that his family can afford the best and that his family deserves the best. He probably wasn't particularly welcome in the Ministry at first but he more or less kept his head down and worked towards where he is now. He's a Slytherin through and through and has always believed that of himself. He doesn't see much worth it other houses.
He does want his children to be better people than he was/is. Draco's bad at displaying the love he feels for his children and because of this their worlds as well as his have kind of spiralled out of control. He thinks he'd like to be close to them, but it just isn't working out that way. Draco doesn't often put his real feelings into words or writing, instead opting for colder options and adressing his children almost as though he has to. He provides himself with as much distraction as possible to avoid dealing with the mess his family life is. He's quite unable to take the bull by the horns.

VERITASERUM: he hates his father sometimes. He often wonders if he would be better off not being a father. He's just not sure which side of the War he was on, which side he should have been on.
BOGGART: being completely and utterly deserted; even if he's hated by everyone else in the world, he's almost always had his family and now he feels he doesn't have those anymore.

AND I’M THE ONLY ONE
Familyhistory
FATHER: Lucius Malfoy.
MOTHER: Narcissa Malfoy nee Black.
CHILDREN:
SCORPIUS MALFOY: sixth year. sixteen. slytherin. The oldest of the Malfoy children, Draco has always put an undeniable pressure on Scorpius as the oldest child. Draco and Scorpius had a better relationship when Scorpius was younger, but recently, and especially due to the fact Scorpius is going out with a Weasley, Scorpius and his father's relationship has been pretty terrible.
DAMIEN MALFOY: fifth year. fifteen. slytherin. Draco pays the least attention to Damien; he feels Damien is the least one he has to pay attention to, and unwittingly makes the middle child feel ignored. When Damien ran away in the summer after fourth year, Draco, instead of being angry or upset, refused to feel any sympathy for his son, knowing Damien would have to return sometime. He approves of Damien's girlfriend more than he does Scorpius', simply because Damien's, Aggy Bass, comes from what Draco feels is a better family. Draco and Damien have a bad relationship as well.
CHARA 'ELLA' MALFOY: fourteen. fourth year. slytherin. Draco really doesn't know how to act towards Ella; he really does adore her, but he shows it in all the wrong ways. He buys her gifts but doesn't talk to her properly and often simply gets angry at her for her bad behaviour as opposed to getting to the bottom of it. Ella suffered from an eating disorder and while Draco is terrified she's not eating properly/she'll have to be sent away again, he just doesn't know what to say to her and he's never really talked to her about it.
OTHER IMPORTANT FAMILY: “EVERYTHING YOU KNOW ABOUT THEM, INCLUDING NAMES”
HISTORY: Draco Malfoy was born to a wealthy pureblood family and was brought up with their old-fashioned, often prejudiced ideas. He was brought up to feel superior to others, particularly muggles, muggle-borns and 'blood-traitors', and wore his wealth and blood status with pride. His father, Lucius Malfoy, a former death eater, was highly respected in the Ministry (particularly seeing as he was a valuable asset due to his wealth) and his family was a well-known one in the wizarding community, although hated by some who believed them to be dark wizards still. Draco was used to getting almost everything he wanted and considered himself above the majority of other people. He wasn't particularly interested in friends to be equals, rather people to follow him and hang on to every word. He'd never had time for people to contradict or argue him.
Upon entering Hogwarts, Draco quickly established himself as a bully and a rivalry between himself and Harry Potter, the boy who lived, began after Draco attempted to befriend him and failed. Draco was cocky even in his first year and had no doubt he would be sorted into Slytherin, confirmed when the hat announced him a Slytherin after being placed on his head for the bare minimum of time. Draco fit into the Slytherins easily, being Lucius Malfoy's son and more than able to lead other people. Throughout his years at Hogwarts, he was generally happy, often taking pleasure in taunting other's and gaining laughs at other people's expense. He had little to no respect for his classmates and the Professors but would behave well (if somewhat sulkily) if a Professor was in the vicinity. Although scornful of the vast majority of Professors, he was never outwardly disrespectful of them. He was a favourite of Professor Snape and took delight in gloating over that. Draco did reasonably well in most of his exams and in fifth year was made a Slytherin Prefect, another thing to show off about.
At the end of fifth year, however, everything changed. Harry Potter, with whom by then he had established a long-term rivalry, had named his father, among others, still to be a Death Eater and to have been with Lord Voldemort on the night he returned. Although up until then the vast majority of the Wizarding World had assumed Potter was mad, people were slowly beginning to turn to his version of the events. At the very end of the year, the situation was worse; his father was caught in the Department of Mysteries with other Death Eaters and Lord Voldemort and was put in Azkaban Prison. As a punishment to the family, Draco was presented a task by Voldemort: to get rid of Dumbledore.
Although Draco boasted of this as being an honour and had convinced himself that he was extremely lucky, he became terrified throughout the year and often cried in the bathrooms. He was certain he'd be killed and became desperate in his feeble attempts to kill the Headmaster. Finally, Severus Snape, his Professor and whom he believed at the time to be on Voldemort's side, avada kedavra-d Dumbledore and Draco and the Death Eaters escaped from Hogwarts. It was probably the worst night of Draco's life. The rest of the war has become sort of foggy in his memory as he took great trouble blocking it; he stayed in the Malfoy Manor where Voldemort often was and witnessed a great many terrible things. All of his talk of being on Voldemort's side and his disgust of muggle-borns seemed to evaporate into thin air when he realised just how real everything was and how he was terrifed of it all. It had been made clear they were to stay loyal to Voldemort or death would be the result.
After the war, Draco escaped with his parents and never really faced up to what had happened. It was something he refused to relive properly, although he often had nightmares about it. The family spent a great deal of time trying to overcome it. When Draco began working, rumours followed him everywhere; never before had he felt that he had to keep his head down, to remain anonymous, to be ashamed of who he was, but he felt it then. He fell very much in love with Astoria Greengrass, and when they were married, he was finally restored to happiness, however short-lived.
His children were born one year after another; Scorpius was the first and Draco could never have imagined what it felt like to be a father until then. Damien was next, followed the next year by Ella. When the children were younger, he and Astoria were still very much in love and the family was tighter. Although still quieter, reserved, somewhat haunted and a tad bitter, Draco was a good father for the first part of their lives, devoting a lot of time to each. It was as they grew older that their relationships became strained and frayed. Draco pressurised Scorpius a fair bit and became somewhat critical towards the majority of his actions. Instead of seeming loving and supportive, he came across as cold, and he found himself unable to talk to his son properly anymore. When Scorpius' fifth year rolled around and Scorpius entered into a relationship with Roxanne Weasley, the relationship worsened. Draco made no attempt to hide his distaste and refuses to believe his son is in love. He sees it as infatuation.
Draco has a tendency to overlook Damien and often forgets to write to him. He feels he has the least problems with Damien and also feels Damien to be the most difficult of the three to talk to. He doesn't even realise he's overlooking Damien; he's too busy pressurising Scorpius and worrying over Ella.
Draco is at a loss over his youngest child, who suffered from an eating disorder and was taken away in her third year. In some ways, although he hates to even think it, he's glad she was taken away as he feels that he couldn't deal with her. He often uses work as an excuse not to talk to her because he just doesn't know what to say to her. Ever. Often when he writes to her he scribbles out what he really wants to say as any sign of affection makes him feel weak. He loves her fiercely, though, and is more protective of her than her brothers, and wants more than anything for them to take care of her while she's at school. It's more upsetting for him than anyone really realises that his daughter suffered from an eating disorder but he can't tell her; he just can't. The words can't seem to form themselves. He's working on strengthening their relationship, however, more so than his and his son's because he finds his sons rude and ungrateful at best, even though he's mostly to blame for their attitude towards him.
